Cookies don't have opinions. You have chocolate chips LPU3 does seem like they just didn't include those songs on LIT just so they had SOMETHING to release for LPU3, which is stupid.

RogueSoul replied to SergSlim's topic in Everything Linkin Park
This is what Chester must have been talking about it Artifact. Not that I understood too much of it, but from what I read is that someone's in trouble due to the band not receiving an estimated amount of money from royalties? That seems a bit silly, especially for a music industry conflict. -
This is it, everyone. The official conclusion of Linkin Park's 2014 The Hunting Party European Tour will take place at the O2 Arena in London, England on November 24, 2014. This will be the bands twenty-second time performing in London (22nd!), making it the second-most-performed-in city in the band's history (the first being Los Angeles). Get out your pens and pencils - this is going to be one hell of a history lesson. The band's very first appearance in London dates back to January 2001, where the band performed on BBC Radio 1 Live Lounge, where they performed 'Papercut', 'Points Of Authority', and 'In The End' (and possibly more) for the first time in England. Later that same day, the band performed another show, opening with 'A Place For My Head', without the 'Cure For The Itch' intro - the first time that the song wasn't performed as the show intro! It wasn't long before the band returned again - in March 2001, the band performed on Top Of The Pops, performing three songs: 'Papercut', 'In The End', and 'Crawling'. Later that day, the band performed on the Deftones' Back To School Tour at the Docklands Arena. 'A Place For My Head', 'Papercut', and 'Points Of Authority' from this show made their way onto the international release of Hybrid Theory as bonus tracks. The band returned for the fifth time in June 2001 to London at the Brixton Academy, featuring a special setlist. The band performed the Mike Shinoda Remix of 'High Voltage', 'Pushing Me Away', and 'By Myself', brought back 'Cure For The Itch' for a one off performance right after the live debut of the Dead By Sunrise song, 'Morning After', in a solo acoustic rendition by Chester. The band returned yet again in September, performing on the Radio 1 Steve Lamacq Evening Session, where the band performed all of Hybrid Theory, barring 'Cure For The Itch' and the inclusion of 'High Voltage'. The next and final show in 2001 in London is the famous September Docklands Arena performance. Memorable moments from the show include the band stopping 'Papercut' due to rowdy fans, the introduction of Joe's 'Blow Your Mind' interlude, the new Docklands Intro, and an epic encore consisting of 'My December' (the first performance of it in London), 'By Myself', a short guitar tease of Guns 'N' Roses' 'Sweet Child O' Mine', and 'One Step Closer'. Check out the full show below! The band returned to London two years later, at the beginning of the Meteora Touring Cycle, on the LP Underground Tour. The headlining show on the tour saw the band perform 'Don't Stay', 'Lying From You', 'Easier To Run', and more Meteora songs for the first time in London. The band performed a show for Top Of The Pops the following day, performing a long soundcheck, as well as the rare inclusion of 'A.06', which featured a vocal intro of the Deftones' 'My Own Summer (Shove It)' (the band performed a cover of it throughout 2002). The band performed another short show in London a few days following: CD:UK/Headliners. 'A.06' reappeared again, as well as 'A Place For My Head' being performed unplanned due to gear breaking and the request from a fan at the Top Of The Pops show. The band returned to London later in the year to perform at the Kerrang! Awards, performing 'Faint', 'From The Inside', and, by the request of fans, 'A.06' for the third show in London in a row - a record for the song's live history. The band returned once again in November 2003 for the fifth performance of 2003 in London, and the 12th overall, on the Meteora UK November Tour, opening the show with 'Papercut' and 'Points Of Authority', and closing the show just as incredibly with 'My December', 'P5hng Me A*wy' (from Reanimation), 'A Place For My Head', and 'One Step Closer'. This show also generated the first recording we have of 'Breaking The Habit', which was performed for the first time a few days prior at the Smokeout festival in San Bernardino, California. The band didn't perform in London for another four years - until the Minutes To Midnight Tour. The band performed at three events, three days in a row to reestablish themselves in the city. The first of these was a BBC Radio 1 Performance, where 'Given Up' and 'What I've Done' got their English Debuts. 'Numb' was performed, too. The following day, the band performed their first headlining England show of the Minutes To Midnight touring cycle, at the Astoria, opening with 'One Step Closer' and 'Lying From You', and closing with 'In The End' and 'Faint' - when its extended outro was still fresh. The third performance in a row saw the band perform at Popworld, where they performed 'What I've Done', 'Given Up', 'No More Sorrow', and 'Numb'. The band returned in 2008, for two back-to-back shows at London's O2 Arena to end the Minutes To Midnight European Tour - just like they're doing today! The first night's setlist featured an opening of 'What I've Done' with its new AMBO Intro and 'Faint', closing with a double encore: 'My December' and 'Breaking The Habit' being the first one, and an old school 'A Place For My Head' and 'One Step Closer' finishing off the second encore. This show also featured the first time Mike performed his short cover of Rihanna's 'Umbrella' instead of The Cure's 'Just Like Heaven'. The second show saw the band perform a different setlist - opening with 'No More Sorrow' and 'Don't Stay', and, again, a double encore: the first having 'In Between' and 'What I've Done' with the AMBO intro, and the second opening with 'One Step Closer' and closing the show with 'Faint'. The band performed again in London in March on the Minutes To Midnight North Ame- ...wait a second. That's the London in Canada, not England. Sorry. The band returned two years later for the A Thousand Suns European Tour in 2010, yet again ending the tour with back-to-back shows at the O2 Arena. A fun statistic - every tour that has included London since 2008 has ended with London - Winter 2008, Fall 2010, Summer 2011 and, now, Fall 2014. Funny enough, three of the four tours ended with back-to-back shows at the O2 Arena. These shows featured the first ever LPU Summit - though nothing of setlist-importance happened in regards to the LPU Summit at the first show, the band still played a great show - opening with the eerie 'The Requiem' and 'The Radiance' featuring the Mario Savio speech, then transitioning into 'Wretches and Kings' the band performed with tons of energy, performing a bunch of A Thousand Suns songs for the first time in London - 'When They Come For Me', 'Iridescent', and 'The Catalyst', to name a few. The second show saw the band perform 'Leave Out All The Rest' acoustically for the first time ever, as well as 'The Messenger' for attendees of the LPU Summit. Then, the band rehearsed a few songs full band, including 'Papercut', 'The Catalyst', and 'From The Inside', the last of which saw its tour debut at this show. The band opened the show with 'Fallout' and 'The Catalyst', the first of two times ever that the band did so. 2 fans from the summit came up to play guitar during 'Faint', and the band closed the show with an EPIC encore, featuring 'When They Come For Me', 'New Divide', 'Bleed It Out' (with the 'A Place For My Head' bridge), and 'One Step Closer'. The band returned yet again in 2011 to close our their Summer Tour at the iTunes Festival, well known for its inclusion of the piano version of Linkin Park's cover of Adele's 'Rolling In The Deep' (that was a lot of possession going on in that sentence, haha). Check out the entire show below! After skipping the UK on the Living Things Touring Cycle (however, there was a MAJOR European Tour planned for the Fall of 2012 in Europe, but it was cancelled right before it was announced for unknown reasons), the band returned to London for the first time in three years for the 21st show there yesterday at the O2 Arena. They performed Set B last night, executing an almost flawless show. A whole slew of LPLive members were there - our new editor, Wilderness, and a bunch of our active members including MrDuck, Smarky, Kirstie, and HAARP. Mike seems to have finally been inspired to start playing around with his medley - changing it up for the third show in a row by rapping his verse from the Nick Catchdubs remix of 'Skin To Bone' from Recharged. Bremen saw him rap the first verse of 'High Voltage' over his medley for the first time, Manchester saw him rap the hybrid verse of 'Remember The Name', and now the 'Skin To Bone' remix. What does he have in store for us tonight? Our good friend Graham will be requesting 'Hands Held High' over the medley at the M&G - Mike hasn't done that since the Greenfield festival earlier this year! Check out this video of Mike rapping the first verse of 'High Voltage' over his solo medley for the first time in Bremen, Germany a few days ago. Funny enough, 'High Voltage' (and 'Dedicated') is leading our poll for what verses we'd like to see over the medley. While it was requested by a fan - it IS entirely possible the Mike has been snooping the forums, seeing what fans want. So, what do YOU want to see Mike rap over his medley? Of Mice & Men will be taking out this tour strong - lately, they've been opening their set with 'Public Service Announcement' and 'Feels Like Forever' off their newest record, Restoring Force. They then perform their single, 'Would You Still Be There' right before they go into 'The Depths' from 2011's The Flood and 'Identity Disorder', which they've been performing for the first time on this tour. They close their set strong with 'You're Not Alone'. Austin Carlile has been performing 'Faint' with the band throughout the tour, and in Manchester Aaron Pauley came out to sing 'Iridescent' with the band during the Ballad Medley. Since the band will be touring with Linkin Park again on the 2015 The Hunting Party North American tour, do you want to see these collaborations happen more? Since the band's 2014 touring cycle is coming to a close, you may be asking - what's next? is linken park cming 2 brasil? Well, possibly. After this show, the band has two holiday shows lined up for mid-December in California before they take a break for the rest of the year. They return in January for a North American tour with Rise Against and Of Mice & Men. While many random United States festivals have been announced sporadically throughout 2015, no more tours have been announced. However, there are a bunch of rumors. Linkin Park is rumored to undergo an Australasian Tour around April and May, potentially hitting India and Chongqing, China. To our knowledge, that is currently in negotiation. A spring/summer North American Tour is also under speculation, as well as a summer European Tour, hitting festivals such as Rock'n'Heim, Reading + Leeds, and Glastonbury. Lastly, in September 2014 the band is rumored to undergo a South American Tour, hitting Rock in Rio Brazil and Sao Paulo. Setlist wise, we can most likely expect changes in 2015 - but not as many as we might hope. In a recent interview with AltWire (Derek from LPAssociation's music website), Mike said that while they want to add one or two more songs from The Hunting Party (likely 'A Line In The Sand' or 'Keys To The Kingdom'), not much will happen due to lack of rehearsal time, even though they have more time to rehearse than they did in Winter 2008, where they debuted three brand new setlists the following tour. However, he also said he is open to the idea of fan-picked setlists, so us setlist enthusiasts might get our chances soon! Who's heading to the show? If you are, RSVP in this thread and meetup with someone other LPL members! After this show, the band will be on break for two weeks before two shows in California to wrap up 2014. In other Linkin Park news - LPU XIV is here, featuring a bunch of awesome benefits! Go register now! The MALL Soundtrack is expected to be released in December, as said by Joe at the Bremen M&G. 'Rebellion' is being officially released as a single today, as well. Can we expect a music video for it soon? For updates on the show, check back here or follow us on Twitter. Check out the rest of Linkin Park's 2014 touring schedule here, and their 2015 touring schedule here. I just smashed the record for the longest pre-show post again. Come at me.

Linkin Park Remix Guide 2.0 Since it appears that the original project was a) never fully completed and abandoned, I decided it was time to reestablish the project, as the remix community continues to grow. We'll be going through Linkin Park, LPU, DBS, FM, STBwCB, and exclusively-live tracks for this. Click here to view the new remix guide. Great post mean, welcome to the Editor group Still hoping we see some more stuff happen over Mike's solo. -
Pissing in the room seems more fitting for the lyricial theme. I haven't actually listened to it yet but I'd just assume.

The Hunting Party European Tour is on it's final stretch - but Linkin Park are taking it out with a bang! Linkin Park and Of Mice & Men are performing in Manchester, England on November 22, 2014, at the Phones 4u Arena - the largest indoor arena in the UK, with a capacity of 21,000 people! This will be Linkin Park's eighth show in Manchester, their first dating all the way back to March 2001, where they performed on the Deftones' Back To School Tour, at Manchester Apollo. The band performed almost all of Hybrid Theory, barring 'Cure For The Itch' and 'Pushing Me Away' (the latter of which was dropped at the show in favor of 'Crawling', which was recently released as a single). The tour brought them back to Manchester for the final show, where the band changed up the setlist, opening with the combo of 'A Place For My Head' and 'Forgotten', and performed the Mike Shinoda Remix of 'High Voltage'. Mike and Chester came up during the Deftones' set and screwed around during 'Headup'! The band returned later that year in September on their first European Headline tour, performing a great setlist opening with a new show intro for 'With You'. Pre-Hybrid Theory era songs like 'And One' and the Mike Shinoda Remix of 'High Voltage' were performed, as well as 'My December' being played for the first time since KROQ 2000 to open up the encore. The band didn't return until 2003, on the very first tour of the Meteora touring cycle: the LP Underground Tour. Then-new tracks from Meteora such as 'Don't Stay', 'Lying From You', and 'Easier To Run' were performed for the first time in Manchester. The band returned in November 2003 for their UK Tour, performing one of the coolest sets they've ever played: opening with 'Papercut' and 'Points Of Authority', sandwhiching songs like 'It's Goin' Down', 'Nobody's Listening' (with an extended outro featuring 'Standing In The Middle'), and 'Breaking The Habit' in between the encore, and an EPIC ending of 'My December', 'P5hng Me A*wy', 'A Place For My Head', and 'One Step Closer'. The band didn't return until halfway through the Minutes To Midnight touring cycle, in January 2008. MTM songs like 'Valentine's Day', 'In Between', and 'In Pieces' saw their first performances in the city, as well as 'A Place For My Head' returning to the setlists on the tour. A bunch of funny moments happened at this show: Mike was rapping 'It's Goin' Down' over the extended intro of 'Points Of Authority', but the fans were screaming 'Petrified', messing him up, saying "Yo, you guys fucked me up right here!" and laughed it off. A fan threw a glowstick at the box in front of Brad during the guitar intro of 'A Place For My Head', causing him to stop and stare the fan down as the crowd laughed. The band's most recent performance in Manchester was in 2010, on the A Thousand Suns European Tour. 'Wretches and Kings', 'When They Come For Me', 'The Catalyst', and all the other A Thousand Suns songs that were performed saw their debuts in England. Mike rapped the first verse of 'A Place For My Head' over the bridge of 'Bleed It Out'. Check out this video of the band performing 'My December' and 'Breaking The Habit' from Manchester 2008 - a very intimate moment of the show! At the previous show in Bremen, Germany (the last of 9 shows the band played on the tour in Germany), Linkin Park fans everywhere rejoiced. Mike FINALLY changed up his medley, rapping the first verse of 'High Voltage' over it for the first time by the request of LPLive member lampshade. This was the first time since 2009, in Stuttgart, Germany that 'High Voltage' was performed in any form (in Stuttgart, it was mashed up with 'Bloc Party' and performed over the extended intro of Points Of Authority'). Funny enough, 'High Voltage' was the number one most-voted choice on our Mike Solo Medley poll, alongside 'Petrified'. Has Mike been lurking LPLive recently? LPU XIV also debuted the day of the show, giving fans great treats - an LPU CD featuring a bunch of interesting demos (including a "cookie", as the band would call it), exclusive merchandise, and more. Lastly, Joe said at the Meet & Greet that the soundtrack for MALL, his movie, would be released in December! The band performed Set B at this show, meaning Set A will likely be performed in Manchester. Check out the video of Mike rapping the first verse of 'High Voltage' over his medley. What other songs would you like to see over the medley? Of Mice & Men have been KILLING it on this tour, performing an energy packed set opening up with 'Public Service Announcement'. A bunch of other songs from their new album, Restoring Force, were also performed such as 'Bones Exposed', 'Would You Still Be There', and 'Feels Like Forever' were performed. Deeper album cuts from the album, including 'Identity Disorder' and 'Another You' were also included, before the band closed with 'The Depths' from The Flood, and 'You're Not Alone'. Austin Carlile, the band's lead singer, has been joining the band for 'Faint' on certain stops throughout the tour - would you like to see it happen? The band will be joining the band again on their 2015 North American Tour. Who's going? After this show, the band has two shows lined up at the O2 Arena in London to close out the tour. An old rumor said that Tom Morello would be joining the band at these two dates - whether or not that's true is a mystery. After those two dates, the band will perform two holiday shows in California in December, before they embark on a North American Tour in January with Of Mice & Men and Rise Against. For updates on the show, check back here or follow us on Twitter. Check out the rest of Linkin Park's 2014 touring schedule here. Apologies for the late post - I was knocked out for the past 11 hours!

Absolutely SHUT HIM DOWN lmao. I'm really astonished that some people actually have the ignorance to say that what we're getting from LPU CDs are boring just because they lack vocals, for a variety of reasons: They're meant to be unfinished tracks. Out of the hundreds of LP songs they've made that haven't made the albums, do you honestly think that more than say, 5% of them actually made it to the point of getting vocals? Making an instrumental is one thing, but a melody is something completely different. How many other bands do this? Be grateful that we're not just getting exclusive merch, that we actually get pieces of their history.

If you want to complain about the setlist going on DVD, don't forget that the band literally just dropped 'Reading My Eyes' from the setlist for Milton Keynes in 2008. -

Do you honestly believe they wouldn't do the safest thing possible so that they can have the best performance of that set possible rather than play a set where they've historically had difficulty playing at some points, let alone doing something they've never done before for a DVD release? -

Someone didnt read the Bremen preshow post -
To my knowledge he's never played guitar on Don't Stay.

Just so there's no discrepancy about this - I'm leaving in the 2nd North American tour just because I feel like Mike was only talking about adding dates to the CURRENT tour, not dismissing the possibility of a second tour coming later. Not that anyone said anything yet, but I'd thought I'd clarify before anyone does

2014.11.20 - Bremen, Germany (+ LPU XIV Launch)
RogueSoul posted a topic in Previous Show Discussion
Linkin Park's The Hunting Party European Tour is coming to a close, but that isn't stopping the band from kicking ass onstage! The band will perform for the first time in Bremen, Germany at the ÖVB Arena on November 20 for the last of NINE shows in Germany on this tour. Unfortunately for all of you, no history lesson today. You may put your pens and pencils down. At the previous show in Berlin, the band performed at the O2 World, running through Set A. While the setlist ran particularly uneventful in terms of changes, this specific show will definitely be remembered. The show was broadcast in 4K definition via Samsung and SES outlets; the first time a live event has been streamed live in this quality. The word on the street is that the band will be releasing this show on a DVD, making it both the second live DVD to come from Berlin from the band (the first being Berlin 2012 for Living Things+) and the second concert to be released in 4K definition on DVD (the first being Muse's Live at Rome Olympic Stadium). A bunch of Linkin Park fans have managed to capture a recording of the broadcast - keep on the look out for download links soon! For just a taste of what the quality of the live broadcast looked like, check out this video of the Experience Version of 'Castle Of Glass' from the Berlin show! The quality looks AMAZING, and it's not even in 4K definition in the video, complimented by the epic performance of the song! Who's excited for this show to be released? Of Mice & Men, who have been opening for Linkin Park throughout the tour, have been making a huge statement with their live shows! Opening up with 'Public Service Announcement', they get the energy going straight away! They perform a bunch of singles off of their new album, Restoring Force, including 'Feels Like Forever', 'Bones Exposed', and 'Would You Still Be There'. They also perform a bunch of deeper album cuts including 'Identity Disorder' (which is being performed live for the first time ever on this tour) and 'Another You' before closing the show with 'The Depths' from 2011's The Flood and 'You're Not Alone'. Austin Carlile, the band's lead singer has been joining Linkin Park onstage on many occasions this tour for 'Faint' - would you like to see the collaboration happen more? The band will be touring with Linkin Park and Rise Against on the upcoming 2015 The Hunting Party North American Tour. Coincidentally, LPU XIV will be launching the day of the show! For those unaware, Linkin Park's official fanclub, the Linkin Park Underground will be undergoing an update to release a bunch of epic new content for the hardcore Linkin Park fans to enjoy! Benefits of subscribing for a membership include an exclusive CD with demos, merchandise, and a bunch of other goodies! For more specifics and discussion on LPU XIV, check out this thread! The official LPU website is currently down so that it can undergo some upgrades for the launch of LPU XIV. Now that the band is wrapping up this leg of The Hunting Party World Tour, there are a bunch of questions to be asked: what's next? Will setlists change? wil linkin prk com 2 brasil? Once the band wraps up the tour in London on the 24th, they break for a week and a half before playing two holiday festival shows in California. After that, the band takes the rest of December off and will undergo another North American tour in January and February with Rise Against and Of Mice & Men, hitting 19 cities across the eastern coast of North America. Following that, the band has yet to announce another major tour, but multiple festival appearances in Las Vegas (Rock in Rio Vegas), Colorado, and Wisconsin are scheduled in the spring and summer of 2015. Rumors are already running amok regarding 2015 - Asia, Europe, Australia, South America, and North America are all on the list. An Asian Tour is rumored to take place in April or May of 2015, with the band's first appearance in India ever and their first show in mainland China since 2009. The band is rumored to undergo a second North American Tour sometime in the spring or summer (despite Mike's words), as well as another European Tour in the summer. Rock in Rio Brazil and São Paulo are also contenders for potential South American dates. For more in-depth explanations and a timeline, click here to see The Hunting Party Touring: Rumors + Official thread. For tour requests, go bother our friend Adam at Warner Bros., otherwise known as the former head of the LPU. He helps get Linkin Park booked and ready to tour! Setlist-wise, there may be a promising future ahead of us (or not so much, depending on how you choose to look at it). In an interview with AltWire (Derek from LPAssociation's music site), Mike recently revealed some new details about what we can expect in setlists from upcoming tours (most likely starting in January). Regarding setlist changes, Mike said, "The band will not change the setlist for that tour drastically." Mike wants to add "at least one more new song", which could mean songs like A Line In The Sand, Keys To The Kingdom, or War could finally make their way into the limelight, given that those three are songs that both the bands seems to really want to play AND the fans want to see. Changing around the order of some songs in the setlist was also a possibility, he said. The lack of significant changes are due to the band (apparently) being very busy between the two tours with family and the holidays, not giving them enough time to rehearse (funny enough, the band had LESS time to rehearse new setlists between 2007 and 2008 - but when they began touring again, THREE brand new setlists featuring the debuts/returns of three songs ['Valentine's Day', 'In Between', and 'A Place For My Head'] were performed). The band rehearsed ALL of The Hunting Party and Hybrid Theory for previous 2014 tours, as well as 'No More Sorrow', 'When They Come For Me', 'Breaking The Habit', and 'A Light That Never Comes' (full), but they never made the cut for the Carnivores Tour and so on. What songs would YOU like to see the band play? To see more songs that the band rehearsed but didn't play throughout their career, check out this thread. Who's heading to the show? As mentioned before, the band only has three dates left on the tour: Manchester and two shows at London's O2 Arena. Check back on LPLive for news on the show, as well as on all other Linkin Park trends (including LPU XIV)! Check back here or follow us on Twitter for updates. They played By Myself earlier this year lmao, I dont think it's THAT impossible. I'm pretty sure Chester said there's a good possibility some of the rarer HT songs would find their way into a setlist someday.
