  1. That was the greatest reaction possible. +1 sir.
  2. The rest of this thread should be... interesting...
  3. The second show of the band's short excursion in Brazil is happening in Brasília! The band will be performing as part of Circuito Banco do Brasil, at the Estacionamento do Estádio Mané Garrincha in Brasília. This will be the band's first time performing in the city. The band performed the first of two dates in Brazil yesterday in Belo Horizonte, and it was... interesting, to say the least. Technical difficulties plagued the band onstage, and Brad was not present at any point in the show (which will likely remain to be true for this show). 'Castle Of Glass' was dropped completely due to Mike having keyboard issues and 'Final Masquerade' and 'Burn It Down' were butchered due to the same issues. Benjamin Chandler, Brad's guitar tech, while making a few mistakes here and there, proved to be a worthy replacement for Brad onstage. 'The Catalyst' refrain was also supposed to be sang over the bridge of 'Bleed It Out', but that was dropped, too. Otherwise, the band performed the regular version of Set B, without having any changes from the Carnivores Tour. Since the issue has arisen, let's take a moment to discuss it: band members missing shows. This isn't the first time it's happened: Phoenix missed a show in 2011 on their Asian Tour, in Bangkok, Thailand due to food poisoning. He was replaced by his tech, Ted. Brad has a history of missing shows: in 2008, the band cancelled two shows in Sweden and Switzerland due to him being ill, he skipped the two promotional shows in 2012 in Japan (Tokyo, Chiba) due to another illness, where he was replaced by his tech, Jeremy, and just skipping the extensive rehearsal in 2011 in Sunrise, Florida. Additionally, while he didn't miss the show, Mike's guitar tech, Kurt, played the 'Shadow Of The Day' solo for him when he broke his hand on the 2007 Australian Tour. A speculation has come up about Brad - has he been skipping the short international tours for a reason? In 2012, the band played two shows in Los Angeles only a few days after the shows in Asia, where he appeared perfectly fine. Coincidentally, the band will be playing two shows in Los Angeles and Las Vegas respectively once they return from Brazil. Is Brad skipping the short international tours because it'd be more convenient to stay at home? While we don't know the true reason that Brad didn't attend to show, we can sure take a few guesses. Check out this performance of 'With You' and 'One Step Closer' live from Belo Horizonte! Despite a few mistakes here and there, Brad's tech did a pretty good job! If you watched the stream, how did you think Ben did? The other bands on the bill also did a pretty great job of rocking the stage! Nação Zumbi and Titãs brought the Brazilian vibe to the stage, rocking out and getting the crowd pumped! Panic! At The Disco played a jamming setlist as well, performing hits like 'The Ballad Of Mona Lisa' and 'Lying Is the Most Fun a Girl Can Have Without Taking Her Clothes Off', as well as some older tracks like 'Time To Dance' and 'The Only Difference Between Martyrdom and Suicide Is Press Coverage'. The band performed new songs from their recent release, Too Weird To Live, To Rare To Die!, such as 'This Is Gospel' and 'Miss Jackson'. The band ended their set with a bang, with their old jam, 'I Write Sins Not Tragedies'. They will surely continue to huge energy they displayed at tomorrow's last show of Circuito Banco do Brasil! The festival doesn't end there: At the beginning of November, the second leg of the festival will visit cities including São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro, with Kings Of Leon, Paramore, MGMT, Skank, and Pitty. Who's heading to the show? Our friends over at LinkinPark:BR will be there! They've recently scored an interview with Grey Daze members/associates, and want YOU to submit your questions! Post your question here and see if it gets answered! The band will likely perform Set A at this show, since Set B was performed at the previous show in Belo Horizonte. After this show, the band will return to the U.S. to perform at Guitar Center's 50th Anniversary in Los Angeles, California and at the 'Stars Of The Season' Gaia in Las Vegas, Nevada. The band recently released a new song, entitled 'WHITE NOISE' from the soundtrack of Joe's movie, MALL, and it's available for download for free! Check back here or follow us on Twitter for updates on the show! 9. Given Up, No More Sorrow. What are trying to argue?
  10. The thing is they have NO time to rehearse in between. After Brazil, fly back to the U.S. for two shows in Vegas and LA, two-three days rest, maybe, then fly to Europe. Anything being rehearsed now is being played in Europe and Brazil.
  11. Assuming LP changes up their setlists, here's what I think they'll play in Brazil/Europe, given that each set contains 28 songs like Chester said: Set A Mashup Intro #2 (or #3, if they're feeling creative) Guilty All The Same Given Up (Ext. Outro w/ Extra Note) Points Of Authority (Shortened Intro) One Step Closer (Ext. Outro) Blackout (Shortened Instrumental) Papercut (Shortened) Runaway (Shortened; Wastelands Transition Outro) Wastelands War Rebellion Castle Of Glass (Experience Version) LOATR/SOTD/Iridescent Joe's Solo Medley Robot Boy (Shortened Instrumental) Burn It Down Waiting For The End (Apaches Intro; Wall Of Noise Outro) Final Masquerade Mike Solo Medley Numb (N/E Intro + Outro) In The End Faint (Ext. 12. I think Linkin Park could easily play shows in Latin America and sell relatively well. Also, I'd say rock is pretty popular in Brazil/South America right now - Linkin Park, Thirty Seconds To Mars, and Biffy Clyro are all touring there right now, and those three are probably some of the most popular rock bands currently touring. Dream Theater also played a few shows earlier this month. Hate to bring this up, because I know Princess JZE can't handle it, but 30STM is doing an extensive tour of South America/Latin America. Puerto Rico, Costa Rica, Peru, Ecuador, Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Paraguay, and Panama. If THEY can play in all these countries I don't see why LP couldn't. MARS even added a second date in Rio de Janeiro because the show they're playing today sold sold out. If MARS can sell out Sao Paulo (Espaço das Americas) and Rio (Fundicao Progresso) I think rock is still very much live in Brazil. This show being almost sold out is another throw at that.
  13. For FUCKS SAKE GUYS Burning In The Skies
  14. EDIT: THAT'S LITERALLY THE SAME COOKIE
  15. a) Points of Authority and With You were rotated on the tour, each was played probably like 12-14 times in the past two months. POA, fine. With You wasn't played for a whole 6 years since they dropped it and brought it back in 2012, no way they should drop that. c) Papercut fucking EXPLODES live. Overplayed does not mean bad.
  16. The third installment of the LPTV series from the Carnivores Tour is here! The episode features to LPU Summit in Woodlands, Texas, Brad and Jared Leto discussing the Hollywood Bowl VyRT, and Daron Malakian joining the band onstage for 'Rebellion'! Thoughts? This is one of the longest LPTV's in awhile - who's pumped about that? A new piano instrumental track is also featured at 5:08 and another unknown track at the 2 minute mark in the video.

  18. Mike and his wife, Anna, play the Pokémon TCG often. Sources: 1, 2
  19. For FUCKS sake. That's it, Robot Boy is winning this motherfucker. Burning In The Skies.
  20. Because THP is an album that needs to visit places that'll jam. Where else but Germany?
  21. Linkin Park is back on the road! After taking a month off from touring after the Carnivores Tour as Chester toured with Stone Temple Pilots and Joe promoted MALL, the band will be heading down to South America for a short excursion in Brazil for the Circuito Banco do Brasil Festival in Belo Horizonte and Brasilía. The band will perform their first show in Belo Horizonte on Saturday, October 18 at Esplanada do Mineirão. This will be the band's first time performing in Belo Horizonte, and the fourth time ever that the band will be touring in Brazil (one show in 2004 to end the major part of the Meteora Touring Cycle, one show in 2010, and a few shows in 2012). Though the tour is short this time around, the band is rumored to return to South America in March 2015. I can tell you're all asking the question: what will the band play? We're not 100% sure yet. Mike and Joe have posted snippets of 'Points Of Authority' and 'Final Masquerade' being rehearsed, respectively, so we'll definitely be seeing those! According to Phoenix's LPU chat recently (if you missed it, check out this summary from our friends at mikeshinodaclan.com!), the band will be adding a few more songs into the setlist, old and new! While we can't say for certain what songs he may be referring to, new songs from The Hunting Party are surely being implemented! Older songs the band had rehearsed for the Carnivores Tour that never made the setlists include 'A Light That Never Comes', 'Breaking The Habit', 'No More Sorrow', 'When They Come For Me', 'Wretches and Kings', and the entirety of Hybrid Theory. Will any of those songs weave their way into the setlist? As far as THP songs go, Chester had promised a fan that they'd play 'War' during their European Tour - and since they don't have any time to rehearse between the upcoming shows and the European Tour, they'll likely be playing the same setlists. 'Keys To The Kingdom' and 'A Line In The Sand' are other favorites that fans really want to see live! What songs from The Hunting Party do you want to see live? This show will also be webcasted! You can tune into the stream via Multishow, and watch all the performing artists as they tear up the stage. This will be the second occassion in Brazil in a row in which one of Linkin Park's shows are webcasted - their show in São Paulo in 2012 was broadcasted, as well. If the band adds any new songs, we'll be watching the debuts of some new The Hunting Party tracks as well as the return of some older ones! For more information on the webcast, click the spoiler button below! Watch the band's full show at Arena Anhembi in São Paulo in 2012 below! The Brazilian crowds always jam hard at the shows, and this show won't be an exception! The band performed songs such as 'Lies Greed Misery', 'In My Remains', and 'Victimized (w/ QWERTY)' from their 5th album, Living Things at this show. Hopefully a wider selection of songs from The Hunting Party will be added to the set, adding to the 5 already being performed! Let's not forget the other bands on the tour! There may be a few names unfamiliar to you, so here's an introduction. Nação Zumbi is a Brazilian rock band who combine elements of rock, hip-hop, and rap with Brazilian elements and heavy guitars! Check out their new song, 'Cicatriz' for a taste of their sound! Titãs is another Brazilian-native band, one of the most successful Brazilian rock bands. They combine elements of rock and Brazilian music together, resulting in an interesting sound! Check out their popular song, 'Epitáfio', here. Panic! At The Disco is a band many of you have likely heard of before, but for those who haven't: P!ATD is a three-piece rock band hailing from Las Vegas, Nevada, who are known for their songs such as 'I Write Sins Not Tragedies' and 'The Ballad Of Mona Lisa'. Check out their hit from their new album, 'This Is Gospel'. The other half of the festival which will take place in November will feature Kings Of Leon, Paramore, MGMT, Skank, and Pitty. Who's heading to the show? Are you excited to see Linkin Park and the other bands perform? After this show, the band will perform in Brasilía to end the short excursion in Brazil, then had back to the United States to play two one-off shows: for the 'Stars Of The Season' Gaia and for Guitar Center's 50th Anniversary. After that, the band will begin their European Tour in November with special guests, Of Mice & Men. If you haven't kept up to date with Linkin Park news, here's some news: The band posted the opening credits of Joe's movie, MALL, on their Youtube channel, featuring a demo track entitled 'White Noise'. The band will also be performing at the very first Rock In Rio USA in May 2015. Check back here for updates on the show, or follow us on Twitter for live updates! Bridge w/ Drum Solo) Song Notes: - Brad was not present at the show. - 'Castle Of Glass' had to be skipped due to Mike having keyboard issues. The intro samples could be heard right after 'Wastelands' ended. The band went into the Ballad Medley instead. - Mike's keyboard messed up during 'Final Masquerade'. - Mike's solo portion of the show featured a 'hybrid' verse of 'Wretches And Kings', the chorus of 'Remember The Name' (by Fort Minor), and a 'hybrid' verse of 'Remember The Name'. After the 'hybrid' verse of 'Remember The Name', he went into the chorus again.
  22. Are you saying they should SHORTEN ALITS and go into CRAWLING? Facepalms galore.
  23. If there's one thing to ever learn from this band: Don't trust them when they say they'll play more songs
