We don't really know how old it is. The "five song EP" could be something else that never came out. It's possible that the "US West Coast Tour" happened in May 2000. We already have two dates from that month in the live guide: http://lplive.net/shows/db/2000andearlier/20000525 http://lplive.net/shows/db/2000andearlier/20000527 On the other hand, there's an interview from 2001 where they use "five song EP" to talk about the HT EP. And we know the EP wasn't released in 2000 because the original CD says 1999. The main argument against this "May 1999" date is that the band wouldn't have enough time to create it because Chester joined them in March. If you check the booklet, he isn't credited for "Technique", "Step Up" and "High Voltage". That's 3 songs they could have written before he was in the band. They surely didn't need Chester to create the hidden track either. Maybe the instrumentals of "Carousel" and "Part Of Me" were already done by the time he joined and he just helped with vocals and lyrics.
