  2. Earlier this year we've posted about a collaboration between AmirSaysNothing and Mike Shinoda recorded back in February. While we still don't know its title, Amir has finally announced a release date for the track via Instagram stories. The new single is coming on January 2nd, 2020.

Update: The song is called 'Clockwatch.' Mike's role was producer. A preview was posted on Amir's Instagram stories. Visit our Linkinpedia page for more information.

Update 2 (01/06/20): Mike Shinoda produced a second track for AmirSaysNothing. A music video for the song was directed by Dylan Park. It will be included in his debut album coming February 23, 2020. More details will be announced soon.

The tapes that you're talking about contain the footage of a show from 2000, right? Or before? If it's 2.5 hours of footage, maybe they played some demos or something because only songs from HT would be too few for a show that long. Which songs we know are included there?

The footage was filmed for a web series called Lockout which you can watch in his YouTube channel. In the series there are clips of Esaul, Rhinestone and Slip as well as Joe doing scratches, an interview with the band, an interview with Jeff Blue where he plays a CD of Hybrid Theory demos and some footage of the band outside the building. All of that should account for the 2 hours of footage he claims to have. I think we never got confirmation of how many songs he filmed, but it wouldn't surprise me if it's just those three.

  4. Disturbed has released a music video for their new single 'Hold On To Memories' which takes fans down memory lane with photos and videos from the band's extensive career. They took the chance to pay tribute to some musicians who were part of their history and unfortunately are no longer among us such as Chester Bennington (Linkin Park), Chris Cornell (Soundgarden), Scott Weiland (Stone Temple Pilots), Dimebag Darrell and Vinnie Paul (Pantera) and The Rev (Avenged Sevenfold). There's some never seen before footage of Chester performing 'Walk' on stage with Disturbed at various shows on Ozzfest 2001.

I remember from some interviews it was Esaul for sure that they have sent for the audition. Havent Heard of other titles i think but for sure it was not only one song.

i would love to hear the audition tape Chester has recorded, like the very raw version.

There was a Kerrang! article from 2001 where they mentioned early versions of A Place For My Head and Forgotten being in the audition tape. LPAssociation had in their gallery scans of a special edition of Kerrang! with various articles they wrote about Linkin Park over 10 years (or was it 15?). This article was included. Not sure if it's still there.

Would it be very illegal to ask someone to share the 99 problems/1step klosr mashup? 😁

He made other Linkin Park/Jay-Z mashups if you want to check them on his website.

The links on the main post are still working in case you want to download LPCatalog's CD in FLAC. But it's likely mp3 sourced.

Wait so there are 2 existing copies? Ik for a fact that one guy has already gotten a copy, so if you know someone waiting for one then there must be 2 copies, right?

Probably hundreds. It's a music sampler, so it's supposed to be out there.

Not that I'm pushing for the release or saying there isn't good reason, I completely understand the circumstances and that the band/Warner Bros. has the legal authority, but Chester isn't even involved with this track, why is that being thrown around like fact so much for a Xero track? Didn't the Rapology stuff happen after his passing?

It was before. We actually got Mike's blessing at the time.

There were some problems with CB demos and Mikes MPC demos released here little while ago? WB nazi contacted you to take those files down and not leak anything in the future? They must be really convincing. Just curious, not a fan of Rhinestone.

    Wel... it's their property.

  9. Hi everyone, we have some fun updates about Xero we'd like to share.

A Zomba Music sampler dating from 1998 has surfaced on Discogs. It's titled "New Music Sampler 1999" and includes a brand new version of 'Rhinestone' with Mark Wakefield on vocals. This is the same track that was featured in the series "The Crow: Stairway To Heaven" back in 1999, so the long search for that track is finally over. We do not own a copy of the CD, but good luck to anyone who can actually find it. The lyrics for this version are already available on Linkinpedia and we have updated our The Chronological Order Of The HT Demos thread. Unfortunately we are not able to post the song right now but with all due respect to Linkin Park and their wishes at this time to not leak any studio material, we are working on being able to share the track here with everyone.

Meanwhile, here's something we think you all might enjoy: on February 27, 1998 a band known as Brendrin Daddy's played their first show ever and made sure to record just about everything on this special night. They shared the stage with a band that would later be known as Linkin Park! While not really intending to film part of this set, footage of Xero playing "Rhinestone" at Whisky starts at 02:03 and lasts for about 30 seconds:

This is the first known live footage of Xero we have seen online.

We've recently restored some missing Grey Daze, Xero and Hybrid Theory pages back into our live guide and we are currently working on bringing back the photo galleries. Thanks to community member GingerLP we've also obtained a newspaper clipping of the band playing at Hollywood Athletic Club on October 10th. Show page here. Note that the band was announced as Xero 818. More information on that can be found on the Xero Linkinpedia page.

Lestat, our pre-Linkin Park specialist, also obtained new clippings from Hybrid Theory and Grey Daze shows for which we didn't have exact dates yet. Check the pages for Grey Daze playing at the Coconut Teaszer here and Hybrid Theory playing at The Gig-Hollywood here.

As always, we are looking into Linkin Park's live history and archiving as much as we can!

  10. For the last couple week Mike Shinoda has been teasing a music video in the works. He has now confirmed the video will be for his latest solo single 'Fine.' It will be released next Tuesday, on December 3rd, at 7AM PST. Check a preview here.
