It's possible the LPU has no idea what has been released before and what hasn't. They should have discussed it with the fansites a little better I think.

+1

I know for a fact Pictureboard isn't She Couldn't because we released She Couldn't before LPU9 and I know Pictureboard was on the tracklisting for LPU9 but was dropped at the last minute for Across The Line by Mike.
-
Adam doesn't work for LPU anymore lol
-
All sites are different every day. Definitely need more fansites included I'll tell Lorenzo.
-
I guess this means the run of LPU CDs with demos is now over. It was great while it lasted 9, X, 11 and 12 were fantastic overall - we got some amazing stuff. Not really a fan of them recording with a musical guest that isn't a popular artist (like someone from Depeche Mode or something) but maybe it will turn out good. I hope they don't do this for 10 songs.

WAAF Boston Talks w/ Dean & Robert DeLeo

I highly doubt that as Shinoda writes a majority of the Linkin Park music. -
Looks like we are the only one.

WAAF Boston Talks w/ Dean & Robert DeLeo
hahninator replied to hahninator's topic in Stone Temple Pilots
I think with how long it takes Linkin Park to make records and tour, it will give STP a lot more time to work on stuff. -
Dean and Robert DeLeo from STP recently called in to WAAF Boston and talked with them about Stone Temple Pilots, Chester and more. Listen to the full interview here. Here is what they had to say: - In regards to how they write new music, most STP songs start out on acoustic guitars and evolve from there. - They have been talking to Filter for quite a few years about doing a tour together. Both bands are good friends, especially after the Army Of Anyone project. - STP approached Chester about him joining the band, as we already knew. There was no "panic" by the Linkin Park band members because they wish the best for Chester. Chester said that if they wanted to just tour and play the old songs, they shouldn't do it. Both he and STP agreed that it was best to honor the past as well as to write new music and move forward as a band. - They didn't want to create a new band or new band name, they wanted to keep going as STP but make new music with Chester. - There are songs that they weren't able to play live with Scott Weiland that they will play live with Chester. - They are releasing a 5 song EP this fall. - Chester is currently in the studio with them. A song of Dean's was worked on with 'Out Of Time' but wasn't finished, so they are finishing that song and three more. Since a fifth song was not mentioned, we can assume 'Out Of Time' will be on the EP. - Dean said between now and September, they have to finish the EP, they have to rehearse for the tour, Dean is going on tour with Peter Frampton in August, and Linkin Park is recording music right now too, so there are a lot of time constraints on the band. - STP is interested in making a full album, but with time constraints with Linkin Park, family and touring, it's difficult to make a full record right now. Thoughts?

Of course. We will keep all the stats, etc updated for STP as well. New lists will need to be made. Great idea.

Astat blows my fucking mind sometimes. WOW. Awesome info.

Since Stone Temple Pilots have announced a new tour, you can find all of the 2013 shows with Chester as lead singer on our new STP tour page here: http://lplive.net/stonetemplepilots.php The first four shows with STP have show pages up and all of the upcoming tour dates for the band can be found on the new page as well. A few of the notes about the pages that we will keep up with are: - We will list in the setlist notes each time a song is performed for the first time with Chester. - We will list each time a new song opens a show in the show notes. At the first three shows, for example, a different song opened each time. As some of you know, Chester joined STP in 2001 on the Family Values Tour as a guest. Those shows are still found on the Chester Bennington page here: http://lplive.net/chesterbennington.php As we do with Linkin Park and the other bands we follow on LPLive, we will keep up with Stone Temple Pilots on tour and post their setlists, etc and create threads for the shows. We look forward to following the tour with you all!

$50...we'll see if the STP fans pay for that. I bet the shows will have more LP fans than STP fans, lol The BB&T Center show is going to be ridiculous, they might bring 2,000 people max lol

Need a ride? I'll be at at least a few of the Florida shows. NIN is doing what, Orlando and Sunrise? Orlando will be a great show.
-
How far is Midland from you? Maybe with that Biloxi date in November they'll add some more shows, like Houston and Dallas or something. Texas is such a huge state that bands typically play tons of shows there.
-
I'll see what I can make from these shows: Sept 17 Sunrise, FL @ BB & T Center (FLA Panthers Event) Sept 18 Orlando, FL @ House of Blues Sept 20 Columbia, SC @ Township Auditorium Sept 21 Ft Myers, FL Shockwave Festival – Jet Blue Park Nov 1 Biloxi, MS @ Hard Rock Live That's 5. For sure Orlando and Columbia. The BB&T Center is a great arena. The LP show there was awesome, so perhaps that one too.

Yesterday in an LPU chat, Adam announced his successor that will run the LPU, be the marketing assistant for Linkin Park and be our new favorite person. In a Twitter post shortly after the chat, Adam said: "I'm SO proud/excited to announce that @lorenzoerr is taking over my LPU position. Follow him, welcome him, be nice. He's awesome." You can find Lorenzo Errico here on Twitter. He already has experience with the LPU, as he has interned with Adam before. Lorenzo also was at the LPU Summit in Camden last August, so some of you already had the chance to meet him and say hello at the various activities we were involved in that day (lunch at Hard Rock, the MFR tree planting activity, or at the Music For Relief booth when he stopped by). He is already getting involved and said both "thank you #LPU for the warm welcome. I am super happy to be here an be a part of your world." and in one reply said "super excited! lots in the works ; )" Lorenzo has been an LPU member since 3.0, longer than almost all staff here at LPLive. Wow! He also promised to stop by the LPU chats sometimes and participate, so look forward to that. We are very excited for what he's going to be doing with Linkin Park and the LPU. Welcome Lorenzo!

Of course the band will rehearse for a few weeks. They rehearsed for Vegas for like 10+ days just to play the same set again LOL Hopefully this time they can incorporate one different song in there. Step Up or Reading My Eyes or something.

Tait Stages - LINKIN PARK "The Playground" [Video]

Who's watching? -
I wouldn't want POA to be dropped at all. The studio version kicks major ass live. What the problem is, is that it's after LGM, which is the worst LP song live I've ever heard. The band JAMS on POA. And SIB this year too. Why not drop something where the band looks bored as hell? Like Numb. I don't want to take away the songs that they enjoy playing and seem to get into live. Drop stuff they look like zombies on. Numb is the main culprit, and the Ballad Medley is another. There are just too many singles near the end of the set. Drop some singles for a song like By Myself. There's no reason why like 16-17 out of the 20 songs played have to be singles, that's ridiculous.

Are there any other Bucharest sources? Is this everything?

By now, everyone is familiar with Rick Rubin. After the band worked with Don Gilmore on two albums, Hybrid Theory and Meteora, they decided to work with Rick Rubin on their next three - Minutes To Midnight, A Thousand Suns and LIVING THINGS. Linkin Park has been simultaneously working on both the soundtrack and score to "The Mall" (a Joe Hahn film) as well as their next album. Mike recently posted on his Twitter account a picture of Rick Rubin's studio with the following message: "Worked with Rick Rubin at his place this week. This was where they worked on the Kanye / Yeezus record; it also was the birthplace of dozens of legendary songs we all love. The room doesn't feel like any particular kind of music to me. Just has a nice vibe and feels like a fine place to create new things." This is possibly (and probably) a picture of Rick's Shangri La Studio in Malibu, CA. Shinoda could be working on anything (he's known for working on several projects at once) but it's possible that this is referencing the new Linkin Park record. Do you think the band will go with Rick Rubin again for their new album? Or do you think Mike is working with Rick on something different?
