  1. The Below Empty fans have said these are the setlist notes so far. If anyone can find anymore please let me know and I'll get it all added. I don't know the STP material well enough and it would take some considerable time to compare both the live versions with the studio versions. STP fans already know the stuff and can spot it instantly. 01. Down 02. Big Bang Baby 03. Vasoline 04. Dead & Bloated 05. Out Of Time 06. Silvergun Superman 07. Church On Tuesday (Guitar Solo Ending) 08. Big Empty 09. Sour Girl (2008 Guitar Solo Version) 10. Interstate Love Song 11. Pop's Love Suicide (2013 New Ending) 12. Hollywood Bitch 13. Sex Type Thing 14. Sex And Violence ---------------------------------------------------- 15. Wicked Garden 16. Piece Of Pie 17. Trippin' On A Hole In A Paper Heart Ending means they change the end of the song. Outro is what we use for LP because they actually play outros at the end of the song. This is the actual studio version changed a bit. I will use "Crash Ending" for Dead & Bloated too since the end is different but I don't know if that was accidental. I'll wait and see for this next show.
  2. And Chester has a break from the STP tour that day. Looks likely.
  3. It's possible. I don't know what else they'd be doing if they didn't perform the song.
  4. From the LPU: "You are invited to a one night only event with members of LINKIN PARK in the Los Angeles area to be held on the evening of 9/11. The first 25 LPU members to RSVP will be sent a confirmation e-mail and will be able to bring 1 guest. To RSVP click here." Linkin Park's new game LP Recharge comes out on September 12th (see the trailer with Lorenzo above) and will feature their new song with Steve Aoki entitled 'A LIGHT THAT NEVER COMES'. This event obviously has something to do with LP Recharge, but we are unsure exactly what will take place at the event. Will the band perform the song with Steve Aoki?
  5. Wow great post! 2007 was the year I got REALLY into Nine Inch Nails and I followed that campaign show by show. I remember in Lisbon Trent left the USB drive in the bathroom, someone found it and uploaded 'My Violent Heart' to a fansite, their label sent a cease & desist and Trent fucking EXPLODED on the label and said they are a complete fucking joke. http://www.setlist.fm/setlist/nine-inch-na...a-7bd6e26c.html I remember this show happening. The entire campaign for the album was the coolest thing I have ever witnessed for an album. People using sound editing programs to find the "hand" or whatever at the end of a song the band put out...then the whole ARG thing coming out. It was so cool. Year Zero is still one of my favorite albums ever. Did the LPU really email people in LA? If LP tries to replicate the NIN experience somehow for this game that'll be interesting. NIN really nailed it though.
  6. I am surprised they didn't play Wonderful and/or Pretty Penny. I wonder if they'll stick to this set or change it up...they are very capable of switching it up and Chester loving STP so much might even influence them to do it. Their first two shows had two totally different sets too. We will see. Down is NASTY, what a great way to start off a show. I am impressed!! Chester sounds absolutely great.
  7. Pretty Penny and Piece Of Pie right now. I am seeing them in Columbia on this tour so I am sure my favorites will change. I hope they play Pretty Penny this tour though. You?
  8. Hard to do a post with no real knowledge of what the fuck the band is about to do LOL this is their first full show ever
  9. Sorry for the short post...going to see Muse!!
  10. On the 4th, Stone Temple Pilots kicks off their USA tour in Bethlehem, PA at the Sands Bethlehem Events Center. This tour will feature fourteen shows across the USA, including two festivals and one show where STP opens for Motley Crue. At the recent rehearsal, the band brought out deep album cuts like 'Piece Of Pie', 'Pop's Love Suicide', and 'Church On Tuesday'. Additionally, lyrics for 'Black Heart' were seen, so it is likely the band will be playing new songs off of their EP entitled "High Rise" that is coming out right after the tour. 'Out Of Time' has already seen play time so it's possible we will see some of the new songs ('Black Heart', Same On The Inside', 'Cry Cry', and 'Tomorrow') brought out as the band heads across the USA. Who's seeing the band on this tour? How long of a setlist do you think they will play? Do you think they'll surprise us with anything else like a cover song or anything? SETLIST: 01. Down 02. Big Bang Baby 03. Vasoline 04. Dead & Bloated 05. Out Of Time 06. Silvergun Superman 07. Church On Tuesday 08. Big Empty 09. Sour Girl 10. Interstate Love Song 11. Pop's Love Suicide 12. Hollywood Bitch 13. Sex Type Thing 14. Sex And Violence ---------------------------------------------------- 15. Wicked Garden 16. Piece Of Pie 17. Trippin' On A Hole In A Paper Heart - 'Down', 'Silvergun Superman', 'Sour Girl', and 'Hollywood Bitch' were performed for the first time with Chester. - Videos of the performance can be found here.
  11. They are easily being very childish about the entire situation but a lot of people don't know Below Empty was a very valuable resource for our FVT 2001 info, especially on Chester's page (for full STP setlists, etc). Reviews there have helped us fix venues we otherwise wouldn't have known about, like the Charlotte venue that was downgraded from an arena to an auditorium with seats. They have assisted us greatly with the live guide but I do agree they are stuck up Weiland's ass, to put it nicely.
  12. Nice videos. Piece Of Pie jams, wow. Trippin' On A Hole is the only song I think where Chester sounds a bit off. I like everything else. I'm sure our coverage of STP here will be pretty unpopular, but fuck it lol
  13. Black Heart lyrics: http://instagram.com/p/dvqY5pSQCp/
  14. Setlist posted. Church On Tuesday added at the end and wasn't on the printed setlist. Very interesting! Tour should be great.
  15. Damn what a terrible way to do a Q&A. Why would they not do it live?
  16. Yeah I think it would have been better to release it before the tour, but I guess they couldn't make it happen with the timing. Hope they play Pretty Penny on the tour - I love how Chester sings it. I'll probably catch a few shows.
  17. Today is the first event we'll be covering for Stone Temple Pilots in fall 2013! STP will be holding a tour rehearsal today in Hollywood, CA at Linkin Park's infamous rehearsal space Third Encore. The band will also be doing a video chat from the rehearsal for fans. More information about this video chat will likely appear on the STP Twitter account later in the day. So what will STP play this tour? Your guess is as good as ours, since these will be the first headlining shows they have done with Chester. The band did say that they will be playing songs on this tour that they were unable to play with former frontman Scott Weiland, so that should at least make a few Stone Temple Pilots fans happy. The band might even break out 'Pretty Penny', which was played at the Salt Lake City acoustic performance in June (show page here). So far, the band has played eleven different songs (including the 'All The Young Dudes' cover) with Chester, which you can find on the STP tour page. The band also has a few new songs coming out on their brand new EP, so expect to see 'Out Of Time' and hopefully a couple of those other new songs! Lucky for the LP community, a Linkin Park fan has won their way into the rehearsal today. Natasha, who has contributed quite a bit of material for the live guide over the years, will be attending because she was one of the ten lucky fans STP picked to attend today's rehearsal. Congrats Natasha and have fun! We will look forward to any updates she can give us afterwards. The North American Tour for Stone Temple Pilots kicks off on September 4th in Bethlehem, PA. There are 14 shows in North America, including two festival appearances (Rockwave and the Fremont Street Experience) and one opening slot for Mötley Crüe. As of now, there are two shows in October, one in Japan and one in Arizona, and one show in November in Mississippi. It is definitely possible that more shows will be added around the Mississippi show, so we will see! For the full tour schedule for STP, click here. Who's going to make it out to a show on this tour? EDIT: The video chat will be held at 3pm PST HERE. SETLIST: 01. Sex & Violence 02. Pop's Love Suicide 03. Out Of Time 04. Trippin' On A Hole In A Paper Heart 05. Piece Of Pie 06. Church On Tuesday Setlist pictures here and here.
  18. Between The Lines from their latest album is ok. Not a fan really of the band's music unfortunately but I do love Pretty Penny acoustic with Chester.
  19. We are listing this song in all caps because all posting from it by the band (LP website, LP YouTube, band member accounts, etc) have it in all caps. LT is all caps as well. Hopefully on the next album they don't keep doing the all caps....
  20. We'll try to keep it as consolidated as possible. Too many threads already as you said lol
  21. Wow now that's a very interesting fact. At the Grafen 2009 M&G I remember Ana asking them about RAR and RIP 2010 and Mike & Phoenix said they wanted to play it, but obviously the touring cycle started too late.
  22. I think we might be in the minority though. Didn't LIVING THINGS outsell ATS?
  23. Wow this might be the best post I've ever seen from you. Harsh for sure but that's pretty much my opinion summed up in two sentences on LIVING THINGS. My two points to add to that are: 1. Minutes To Midnight, in my opinion, is a far superior album to LIVING THINGS and the amount of work put into MTM really shows with the final product (including all the b-sides and demos). LIVING THINGS seemed rushed and not nearly as quality. 2. The "reject material" (which I assume coming from you means simply "songs that don't make the albums") seems really strong for Linkin Park, which is something you don't see very often. Across The Line, No Roads Left, and What We Don't Know are all surprisingly VERY good songs and could easily be on a full album from the band. Even Bruiser and Space Station surprisingly were great for instrumentals. I think the problem some of us have with the quality of LIVING THINGS is a result of most of the material was left over from A Thousand Suns and they took the "not as strong songs" from the ATS sessions that didn't make the album and reworked them into LT songs. A lot of the material/samples of songs we got on StageLight (including the 2 songs I mentioned) seemed pretty good. The only songs I feel like showcase Chester's good voice on LT are POWERLESS (the end is really good), VICTIMIZED (which he tossed out when he was sick!), and the bridge/end of LOST IN THE ECHO. Maybe IN MY REMAINS. I think his voice is suited more for rock than electronic music though, unless it can be combined into stuff like Blackout, Wretches & Kings, and When They Come For Me, which all kick major ass.
  24. Yeah. I can't find any show announcement for Stockholm or Fredericksberg on that tour either (2001).
