Yes. I'll fix it. Sorry.

Looks like some type of scam or something.

It's because the news of the song broke in January. It's April now. It was on there months ago. However, I understand that and I've gotten a few private messages lately about the Newswire on the homepage. I'll work at coming up with a solution for that. A lot of people are complaining about STP. I personally felt that the life of the site was inside the forum but I guess a lot of people still look at the News on the homepage.

Geki seriously? Get over yourself. I said "but that's just my opinion." I am the exact same as any fan, I don't magically love and worship every single thing LP does in their career. Except you, you're pretty much the only person that I've ever seen do that. Are they a great band? Yes. Do I love seeing them live? Yes. Do they do stuff that I hate? Of course. I don't pretend LP is some magical god-like band that the ground they walk on must be worshipped. Did dropping Reading My Eyes in 2008 make me disappointed? Sure. Do I like ALTNC and this song? Hell no. But I love songs like Valentine's Day, etc that a lot of fans dislike. It's an OPINION. LP makes music for all of us. I wouldn't keep doing LPLive if LP didn't interest me any longer - that's no secret. You keep bringing up nu-metal. Seriously, shut up about it. No one has discussed that since like, 2008. "Music is fucking subjective. Just because you don't like something doesn't mean that someone as doesn't." Yes, exactly. Now go back and read what I originally posted. Don't be an idiot.
-
Thanks. Phoenix was there.
-
Agreed. This is not up my alley at all. I'll go ahead and say downright garbage, but that's just my opinion. ALTNC was REALLY bad, and this somehow is even worse.

Linkin Park x Steve Aoki - "Darker Than Blood"
hahninator replied to lpliveusername's topic in Newswire
I left school early in 11th grade when Pts.Of.Athrty demo by Jay Gordon leaked. True story -
We are definitely not consistent with what we post in the Newswire. Maybe I should put up a post that says like "STP is on tour, here are the tour dates, follow the thread here" with a link. And then below it put something like that for the new LP Aoki song.
-
I don't have a video of that show unfortunately, but is this what you are talking about? Because this isn't an acoustic.
-
I am glad you mentioned that. Killing Fields is the best song they have written as a band, to me. I love Death To Analog A+ every song), dislike We're Here With You a LOT and don't have a single song I like (crazy!), and California Noir falls in between. Good and bad on the new one. When it comes to Killing Fields I will never understand why it wasn't on DTA, unless it was written after that period. The good news is that Ryan said just within the past week that they are writing new music with Brandon. Thumbs up. They even played it live. Fucking megaphone at the end. Epic! Wish they were able to close all of their shows with that.

Here's the first problem with DBS - Chester said the album was influenced by The Cure and all the older bands he liked, like Depeche Mode. The 2005 Let Down performance was amazing. I don't need the studio version repeating "don't wanna be let down the same old road, don't wanna be let down the same old road, don't wanna be let down the same old road, don't wanna be let down the same old road, don't wanna be let down the same old road, don't wanna be let down the same old road, don't wanna be let down the same old road, don't wanna be let down the same old road, don't wanna be let down the same old road, don't wanna be let down the same old road" repeated 100 times the last minute of the song. That's called a bad job by the producer. Julien-K is fine, sure, but the electronica stuff on DBS combined with Benson's production had a bad SOUND for the project to me. It sounds too polished. Sure, there are great songs like Into You and In The Darkness, but like the verses in Condemned? I guarantee Chester can write better music than that. I like JK a lot and I'm not bashing that stuff, but I think the raw demos for this stuff are a lot better than the final product, but too bad we'll never hear that stuff. It's all personal taste. You love it, I don't. Morning After was taken from a beautiful acoustic song with some overpolished guitar sound, samples, etc and ruined, in my opinion. What is all that electronic stuff between every line in the chorus? Lmao. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3fLnMBtHKdQThis is a ROCK song versus the electronica rock sound. Just because I prefer that doesn't mean I am bashing Chester lol. Way much more emotion in the 2001 acoustic one versus the one on Out Of Ashes...same for Let Down 2005 versus Let Down on the album. Exactly. "The fledgling group will also offer fans some bonus material, including a cover of the Misfits' "20 Eyes" and acoustic renditions of the "Out of Ashes" songs, some of which will be available for download with the purchase of the album." Too bad that stuff never happened. Those would make great LPU exclusives.

I added the setlist to the page. Getting the pictures now. Feel free to edit/change whatever. You do an excellent job with the STP stuff Lestat. Now I'm interested in seeing if we've seen that guitar before like Geki said. I can't believe how good Pruno sounds...
-
Great info in this thread, thanks Lestat and Jonas. I wonder how the soundcheck thing works. They sell VIP packages, do they bring those people up and just don't list it as a perk in the packages? Is it some kind of radio contest we've never heard of? STP doesn't have a fanclub so I don't know what it could be. I can find out though from someone in the crew, probably. The STP people say it was just switched for San Francisco. Holy shit Pruno is FILTHY, Chester jams so huge on it.

Digby is their tour manager, or at least was in 2013-2014. Benjamin was even a guitar tech fill in in 2014 for some shows. Pooch, no, he isn't with them. Tater is though (monitors). https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.10152717691542611.1073741975.55058857610&type=1 Awesome album from Seattle. Fans on stage for another soundcheck deal before the show. No way to know what they played I guess, sadly.
-
Don't they usually announce the Russia shows together unless they're festivals/special shows? I bet St. Petersburg doesn't get a show this time. Maybe France or Switzerland. It's taking a while to announce this show, that's for sure. Maybe they have several options for where to do a Summit. Plenty of options....Ireland, Czech Republic, etc...maybe even some very obscure places in Europe we haven't thought about.
-
Wow. The number one thing to NOT do in this case is to have a bunch of people message him. Has anyone already done that? If so, we will hold off. We don't want to bombard him. This is one hell of a find. What exact moment in Frat Party is this shown? Looks like he filmed it at FOH, so I bet there's more. Not a coincidence it starts just before OSC, I bet. He even zooms out. Maybe he has the whole set. And damn, no setlist for this show....that'd be amazing if he has the whole show.
-
Oh wow, Chester is jamming. Last night STP sent a push notification to everyone that they canceled the FB event "STP Tour - Live In Concert", so people freaked. It was handled and was an accident apparently. STP doesn't have a great social media person like Adam/Lorenzo so it's not surprising. They don't even confirm some shows or post about them. You can't just cancel something that Chester is involved in and not expect the LP fans to go nuts about it.
-
Agreed 100% Geki. However, fans will shit their pants if LP doesn't play certain singles. Unfortunately, Mike and Chester (and probably the rest of the band) know this 100%. That fan in Melbourne was in tears when they didn't play In The End (the one that tweeted Chester) even though APFMH replaced it. JESUS. We met someone on Carnivores that was LIVID about no Crawling. Like really? I'd love for Numb to go away, forever, ha. Drop Burn It Down, New Divide, Crawling, Numb, etc...as many singles as possible. I've seen them all so much (and so many other fans have) that I'd truly appreciate some different songs. If not, just do a club tour where you play zero (0) singles and see how it goes. I've always thought that'd be interesting to craft a set like that and see what the most liked songs are. No More Sorrow, And One, When They Come For Me, etc would all do really well.
-
I do. And I sure as hell would rather have a great Fort Minor album like The Rising Tied, or even a great mixtape like We Major, instead of an extremely subpar album like Living Things. The Hunting Party was good, but not great, and I enjoy TRT much more than THP. Fort Minor was extremely popular with the fanbase. Back in 2005, people LOVED it. When Dead By Sunrise came around, it had way less attention than FM did. Why? I'm not sure, but Chester failed miserably by not even having a website or forum for it. My personal opinion is that the quality of DBS was WAY lower than FM, but that's just me. Julien-K and Howard Benson were not what Chester needed for a solo project. FM, however, was a flawless project to me. DBS was liked more than the STP stuff, at least judging by LPL and social media (where there's almost no CheSTP discussion), but not even close to half as much as Fort Minor. I was around heavily for both and I fully believe that statement to be accurate.

Now that's an interesting theory. Maybe STP doesn't tour until November/December if LP plays a special Hybrid Theory show or two. I'd rather LP take their time and creatively craft their next work instead of rush it like LT. MTM/ATS took quite a while to make and the effort really shows. THP is good but not GREAT like those two albums. They took their seeds and crafted them into these short songs for LT, and for THP they were also working on Mall at the exact same time. We'll see what happens. Interesting thing I recently found out: ALLEGEDLY, the MFR Concert for the Philippines show was originally going to be in late November 2013, but got moved, and they were going to debut a new song there.

Holy setlist. 22 fucking songs, that's a real rock show. Wow, I need to see this. I bet Chester is just loving this shit, dang. The reason so many people are bringing this up via social media and now here is that Mike said LP can't play longer due to Chester. It was in an LPU chat. He said he wants to play longer setlists but can't because of Chester. So now this is making people question that. Even still, it'd be great to see LP add in rarer old songs like this. This is a badass set.
