  1. Really???? Saw them more invested during this last anniversary than in 2020, which was kind of depressing
  2. This is one of the topics that can easily and spectacularly backlash if something finally happen, but what the hell, let's gamble. As the title says, while I'd love to have a new reissue, I've got a feeling that this anniversary is basically going to be ignored, but there's various factors that make me think that. 1. Another reissue, so soon? Mike and Warner knows that the box sets are a risky product. They are expensive to produce and not everyone is willing to pay 200 euros, dollars, pounds, for those. Making another reissue could be seen a cashgrab from the outside and not something special that happens every few years and worth investing your money in. 2. Forget about boxsets, lower the bar. For now, both boxsets have been a success thanks to nostalgia and tons of discarded material to choose from. While nostalgia for Numb/Encore could be translated to some selling (basically, people lurking the LPLive forums), there's not much to include. The original 99 problems/1step klsr? 99 problems/don't stay? We could run our imagination wild and thinking about thousands of remixes, but the truth is Mike is quite picky when it comes to choosing remixes (except for 2013...). So any b-side besides the ones we know would be undone remixes and boring beats. And even in the best scenario possible, a new remix that melts our face off... Still a remix. The main appeal of the boxsets has been the newer tracks, the possibility of hearing Chester once again, that kind of excitement isn't going to happen with a mash up. Lowering the bar means something more conventional. CD/DVD with a full show, perhaps 2CDs/DVD... Nothing too fancy, and I'll be very grateful for that. 3. Copyright is the name of the game. Once we've thrown out of the window the boxset, we have to face another issue. We all know that when it comes to Jay Z and its label (which I think is Roc Nation), dealing with royalties, copyright and all that jazz is a living hell. Not because Jay Z doesn't want to collaborate with the band, it's just that this business is tricky when it comes down to split the money. Let alone of they decide to include something from the Live 8 Is it worthy all of this headache just for a small reissue made for hardcore fans? The band cares about its fans, but I'm afraid the answer is no, they gave us huge amounts of material this past 3 years. As many of you have said, best we can hope for is a YouTube video from the first five songs of the Roxy show, but we will have to wait if Warner is generous enough and allows it. Now is the time in the comments when you type that I'm fucking wrong. I hope to be...
  3. And no Jay Z in the set. PS: I love Collision Course but I don't like a half cooked Numb/Encore and Jigga What/Faint taking the place of the original song
  4. For those people even Underground 8 is the ultimate proof of his suicidal thoughts
  5. I don't think they'll sacrifice a proper MTM show from 07-08 for a in-between-eras show, even though we're craving for it. Hope they prove me wrong. I just have little hope about it
  6. Dumb question, but how did you guys realized that it wasn't Hamburg? Could be from any February/March 03 show or just from the ones there aren't any recordings to check?
  7. Two questions: Is there any professional recording of MFR 2005? Not saying a Rock am Ring 04 / Milton Keynes 08 kind of, but somewhat like Veterans Stadium 03, Fillmore 01... A bare bones pro shot, I mean. Any chances to also see the full version of the Live 8? It would be a great time to proper remaster that show, although with the Jay Z songs and the tracks included on the official DVD of the event, must be a legal hell to be released.
  8. Expect a 10 year gap between albums. Not joking.
  9. Woooooooohooooooooo ohoooooooooo
  10. So basically, Brazil 2004 has become LP's fandom favorite urban legend.
  11. I'm sure any of the admins can give you the most accurate answer, but as far as I know, best case scenario just MTV Brazil might had it at some point before delete/lose it
  12. They're not going to lose tons of money if they release a live archive for free. Normal and not hardcore fans doesn't care for one specific performance like us, give them some unreleased studio tracks and it will blow away streaming services, like it happened with Lost. But "In the End (Live at Summer Sonic 2006)" isn't going to have 16 million streams in Spotify, for sure.
  13. Maybe, and just maybe, that Mike's whish to have a live recordings archive centralized somewhere might be our chance to see some mighty shows, like Tokyo 06, that doesn't completely fit in one era, and cannot be included on a boxset. Wishful thinking.
  14. Unpopular opinion here: I've never understood the mighty aura that has this show. Yeah, the first time playing BTH... So what? That might just me, but I've never understood the charm of debut performance of songs, usually are far from being the best version of them. And while I haven't watched the footage yet, seems like it was an ok performance. Having already said that... Really glad to see that pro-shot partially released. Moreso when they've always messed up about the material ("the label has it", "the tapes have been destroyed", "the band doesn't like the footage"... etc). It finally is where it should belong, with the fans
  15. Anyone else has felt an enormous "what if" after hearing the new Faint intro? Those kind of treats that we had in each tour....
  16. Serious question, could the content of the interview you did with him, be used on a trial?
  17. They shouldn't pay him, because he will come back for more, sure. What about being paid for your job? Nah, that's crazy. If that happens, like you've said, Warner has enough lawyers to shut down is suppossed avarice.
  18. How the currents have changed, from "he's right to claim those royalties", to "he's gonna lose in court, has no idea what he's talking about".
  19. IF Mike was aware that Kyle wasn't being properly credited for his job, since he's a control freak, then what a dumb move by him, believing that the band was smarter than anyone and Kyle wouldn't notice. The funniest part is that this page might have started the fire without ever know or wanting it. But in the end, if they lose the lawsuit, LP is a wealthy band, they'll just pay him and move on. No big deal for them, but an opportunity to do things right
