  1. I would punch a small child to be able to hear that remix. Even a cute one.
  2. Not typical Camp Freddy fare, but I'd kill to hear Chester do Bother by Stone Sour.

  4. I'm not a fan of Stone Temple Pilots' music at all, so no I'm not really interested. It's cool to see Chaz in another band, showing another side of himself, and it's nice to see him fulfilling a dream of his, but I won't be following STP in the same way I do LP.
  5. I understand what he means. In another example, Oli Sykes from Bring Me the Horizon often sounds really bad when you watch a live video of theirs, but when you're there you don't really care 'cause the crowd are all singing along and the atmosphere is awesome. Plus he's a good frontman, which can often be more important than being a good vocalist.
  6. Not really. It's an umbrella term for genres like drum and bass, dubstep and house, in the same way metal, punk or hip-hop are umbrella terms for various subgenres. Not all electronic music is EDM, which a lot of people don't seem to understand now. ATS, for instance, has a lot of electronica on it, but there ain't no EDM except for maybe a bit of The Catalyst.
  7. When I started listening to LP, I wasn't really into the hip-hop bits nearly as much as the rock, as I didn't really like the genre as a whole. Now, I consider it an integral part of the band's sound. Partly perhaps because I've gained a greater appreciation for the genre as a whole, but to me the hip hop stuff just adds flavour to their music. I think they make better songs with a mix of styles than just straightforward rock songs, which explains why MTM is my least favourite LP album. I think it helps that Mike is so damn good at it (The Rising Tied is one of my absolute favourite hip hop records). It never feels shoehorned in, the rapping and the hip hop beats have always felt very natural in Linkin Park songs, not like some other nu metal bands of their era.
  8. I think you're going to be waiting a looooooooooooong time I'm sure Mike will be there, we'll have to wait and see who else is.
  9. To be fair, this is true of pretty much every EDM artist, ever.
  10. Hit the Floor is the only song on Meteora that sounds overproduced.
  11. It's a cool theory, but I doubt it will come to fruition. Hybrid Theory is easily the fans' favourite album, and that's probably why they played special attention to it on this tour, more than anything else.
  12. Fantastic remix guys, great job both of you. Has its own flavour without sacrificing the feel of the original, lovely stuff.
  13. Another brilliant Soundwave lineup. I'd fly to Australia to go, if it wasn't so far away haha.
  14. Why they don't just play it in a lower key is beyond me. I second this motion.
  15. Obviously I'm disappointed that there was no England show on this tour, but it's been a fun cycle to follow nonetheless, particularly because of the reintroduction of songs like With You and APFMH. I think it's unlikely we'll get long touring cycles like for the first three albums again, and around a year of more broken-up touring will now become the norm as the band get older and want to spend more time with their families, understandably.
  16. "There are actually a lot of keyboard and sample-based sounds on “Hybrid Theory” and “Meteora,” but in the mix they got drowned out by the guitars." Really interesting quote from Mike here, and something that not nearly enough people pick up on. Nice work finding that Soul.
  17. The beat's cool, if rather generic. And yeah, to repeat what everyone else said that vocal effect is horrible.
  18. The only original studio song that LP have released with any hint of EDM is Lies Greed Misery, with the wub-wub verses. If they think going down the EDM route is proving that they can "do anything", they're completely wrong- they'll just be branded trend followers for jumping on the bandwagon of the biggest genre in music today. I don't know how the next Linkin Park full length will sound. To be honest, I doubt it will stray that far from the band's core sound- big rock songs with electronic (not EDM) and hip hop elements. I could of course be proven wrong, but only time will tell.
  19. BTH (LPU5) How very DARE they release the same song on two consecutive albums
  20. OOOOHHHHH. It's pretty unsurprising that a man who has caused the end of several bands now is a two-faced idiot. Has nothing of worth to do at his shows, so just makes a fool of himself to create headlines. Honestly, I personally don't even think he's that good a singer, I don't get the hype at all. Hopefully now he'll just fade into obscurity where he belongs.
  21. DJ Fresh sounds like something a 13 year old would call himself after making a song on Dance eJay. I think we can safely put this in the "highly unlikely" box.
  22. Breaking the Habit (LPU6) When are you guys planning on randomly bringing COG into the election so it can win?
