  1. http://lplive.net/shows/20121008.php Mike's microphone was muted(/didn't work?) on the 1st verse of APFMH. I haven't researched audience videos or anything so I can't tell if its a DSP note, or a show one. Brad's guitar also got muted too early in POA, so the outro "hits" were just bass and drums, until the last note. Mike makes a quip about it and the crowd get a short chant for brad going before LGM. There is a pretty big gap between BTH finishing and Mike starting the ballad medley, I assume the keyboard problems around LITE may have some sort of connection to that. EDIT: sort urselvz da fuck out guyz https://fbcdn-sphotos-c-a.akamaihd.net/hpho...531041424_n.jpg
  2. I was sad to see IMR dropped for COG, something like SIB/Numb could have taken the hit for that. They don't seem keen to play a lot of the riskier, non-singles like they did following MTM & ATS - I think if In Pieces, Valentines Day, In Between, HHH (in full!), Jornada, W&K, Blackout, WJL, The Messenger etc. were played on their respective tours, then it's odd that LT suddenly isn't getting that same treatment... granted, some of the ATS tracks were interludes, but the band seems to not really be touring to promote "Living Things", more just the back catalogue, which is a bit disappointing really. I'd still lay down money for tickets in a heartbeat, but it's a bit of a bummer to know that to know you're getting a "greatest hits" setlist. There's always a reason for lacklustre sets - festival crowds, not a strictly 'linkin park tour', warm-up show, but then even when it is a special show (lpu/mfr) they do the same standard set. It feels a bit disheartening. At least this show they talked a bit more, that's a plus.
  3. I too voted for By Myself for the cool things they used to do with it. I'd love to see it again, but I think it's a tough one to pull off; most of the songs making a return are the bigger, more constant-paced ones, By Myself has a bitching chorus, but the verses kill the vibe a bit...
  4. From what I saw on twitter, Numbrocker had low phone battery and could tweet during the show. She posted the set 3 hours ago though: @Numbrocker02: Tin,faint, paper,GU,WY, SIB, ND, vic/qwerty, POA, LGM, WFTE (UIB intro) @Numbrocker02: BtH, Cog, lotr medley, cat, LITE, Numb, WID, OSC. I'd go and find out how long it's been since it was played without another song over it, but the setlist/songs page isn't much help, and I don't have the time to sit here for an hour to trawl through and find out Main post updated with setlist. CookieMonster and I win the set list predictions prizes
  5. I concur. Can't see any new songs other than COG getting played for Vegas. I also doubt we'll see too much new stuff in Aus/NZ, but I hope to be proved wrong on that front...
  6. he pulled a similar thing at Reading 2010(?), apparently the crew are under strict instructions that he must NEVER be woken up from a nap... prick. GNR started over an hour late, and axl rose got in a huff when the crowd booed him for it. i dont know why people bother paying money to see them anymore, everyone should boycott his dumb self
  7. oh, yeah... yeah, i meant them. they clearly left a big impression on me...
  8. this is true, although the event people would simply pull the plug anyway. on the other hand, I'm sure LP aren't that egotistical to want to cause a fuss. The Offspring had their power cut at Sonisphere '11 for going over their time and fucking up the rest of the Saturn Stage, for band playing in one of the mid-day yawn slots, it was kind of a dick move...
  9. Off the back of what AndOne said, there were a series of videos released on the HCT Facebook page documenting tour stuff and fans etc. The fan tattoos one featured Sal: http://lplive.net/forum/index.php?s=&s...st&p=176712
  10. Sources on potential tour dates please! Unfounded rumours are a bit useless
  11. saw the OP and was immediately about to refer to bpercy's collection
  12. not exactly "random", but the big screens on the apollo stage at Sonisphere 2011 showed the footage from RTR. Bleed It Out and What I've Done to name two... and I always get a little bit happier when I hear LP songs being played while I'm on a night out - Rock City is still kicking out the classics 10 years on
  13. this. oh, and i can bet you the LPU would get way more expensive if they left Warner...
  14. Somerset, WI and Mountain View, CA 2004 are well worth getting
  15. as much as everyone here seems to hate Warner, they at least trust the band enough to do their own thing; MTM and ATS both took ages to come out, and that would scare the shit out of most labels. Warner may have a lot of faults, but they at least give the band room to do wht they want to do. any record label that is fine with keeping a band on after they decided to scrap an entire album's worth of material (MCR '09) is a good label in my books... where I would like to not see Warner involved in LP-related stuff, is DBS - no website, no promo, no help. Warner seemed intent on letting that project die, and that's pretty shitty on their part. (irrespective of everyone's opinions on how "good" the band was) but i guess what LP does after the contract runs out is up to them. i reckon they do have the funds to stay afloat if they were without major backing
  16. which version of Burning In The Skies CD-S has WTCFM on it? I have a UK promo and the UK single, both with only Blackout
  17. If there are differences between the DVD and th CD, that kind of page would be really useful. It bugs me that they tried to put two performances as one, and I often the find the video editing really frustrating - some of the cuts are just way too fast, it gets too much after a while... If only that Dallas taper had been keen to share his audio - we could sift through which version was from which show
  18. This is a really weird "collaboration". Sure the money goes to charity, but who's really going to buy shoes with tiny LP logos on them? It's a really lazy design in my opinion...
  19. They were hardly going to drop those songs from the sets anytime soon...
  20. I dont think we can jump to conclusions that a circle being used in the band's live visuals is therefore a precursor to The Catalyst's single cover... Road To Rev. = 2008 The Catalyst = 2010 that's a long time for the band to have "that circle we had onstage" playing in heir minds... yes, I'm sure Mike mentions Houston in his usual "pump up the crowd" thing he does on song intros before the guitars kick in, if we figure out which shirt he was wearing on the DVD on that song, I'm pretty sure you could then figure out which songs were from which show on the DVD/CD. Mike and Chester noticable change clothes and get sweatier/less sweaty throughout the DVD. it's kind of annoying really - why not just put out one show...?
  21. shits and giggles, I guess...
  22. probably because most people looked for a rip of song from Linkin Park 8-bit... I can't even remember the name of the game... instead of buying the game, completing it and getting the song that way. I also bet a lot of folks ripped it from youtube videos from people who had - copies of copies always results in lower quality. I might actually bother to buy something off iTunes if NRL has been tweaked, I always feel like the studio version gets a little blank in some places, instrumentally speaking
  23. then BAM! straight into Victimised! I quite liked Joe's little hand signals in the rehearsal bit - "hardly anything there 4 U 2 C"
  24. I still need to get myself LPU11 and 12 on CDs... had to pull some er... sneaky business to hear those two
  25. is this it? http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x5xwtc_gl...on#.UOoYFnfTz4I
