  1. Great idea, indeed!! LPL seems more and more complete. ;-) The "One Step Closer" performance in Milan is probably the one in wich Chester has screamed "Shut up" the more times in his live
  2. Happy Birthday! As I'm thinking about it, MTM was released only a week after your birthday in 2007...Should have been a great gift!!!
  3. Oh...f*ck! I was a bit sceptical when I read this, but wow, those songs are awesome. This guy has a really good voice, he should do something more significant with it.
  4. Well...Like some other guys have said here, the problem is not that LP isn't giving us updates about how the new record will sound like. I can totally understand that, because that politic don't let us fall into any form of exceptations, which means we will listen the new music for itself, without comparing it to what it was supposed to sound like. What is getting on the fan's nerves is that the band hasn't informed us since months about how the album progress is going. Are they still making new songs? Are they mixing? We don't know anything....Honestly, LP could even be on hiatus at this time that it wouldn't be a surprise for me. I know it isn't the case, but shit, we need news
  5. 1)Across the Line One of my favorite LP song to date. I really love the vibe in it, and the progression from the dancing intro to the heavy bridge and the rock end is cool too. All in all, a great track which should have end up on MTM. 2)Blackbirds Even if I was disappointed by a "Ballad? Again?" kind of effect, I have to admit that I like this song. Cool melody. 3)New Divide An average LP song in my opinion. But apparently it's awesome live, according to what I've read in this thread...So third. 4)Lockjaw Incredible instrumental, maybe too short though. 5)We Made it Since LP has played it live in its own setlist during Projekt Rev 2008, and since it's a post-MTM track, I'm also rating it. The piano part totally makes it for me, but Chester chorus is too repetitive. 6)Not Alone I don't really like this song. Not that bad, but not good either. Hightlight of it : the electronic bridge/outro.
  6. Really interesting post. I've always been thinking it's a bit sad that performers bands are becoming more rare nowadays. Not that I've something against "protools-users" and artists working a lot on computers, but music is way more authentic/honnest/natural/...when it comes from a jamming session. Moreover, in my opinion, performing live in front of a crowd, seeing people turning crazy while listening at your music is the best part of being a musician. I can't imagine how some artists can have a career without this aspect of their job.
  7. I didn't think it was going to be heavy, but at the same time, I didn't except such a ballad like that. The snippet we did have made it sounds like it was fast-tempo song. Something whit energy if you see what I mean. And maybe with some cool guitar parts in it.
  8. Weird intro, good song, but like I said in the other thread, LP would need to go heavy again. Not especially in the HT style, but heavy. Come on, 90% of their songs since the MTM-era are mellows...I don't have nothing against soft music, but too much is too much. How will become the live shows if LP continues to put out pop songs like that? Boring, simply boring. EDit: anyway, I like Blackbirds on its own. Soft LP tracks are generally good, but the problem is they ONLY release soft songs since 2007. Where is variety?
  9. So...the intro is really weird, but except for that, I like the global vibe in the song. However....LP f**cking need to do more heavy songs. Heavy in a rock side, or a metal side, or a electronic side, whatever, but heavy. 90% of their songs since the MTM-era are mellows, and it begins to make me bored. Still liking BB though...
  10. I'm downloading the song, don't have listened to it yet.... I can help those who are pm-ing Blackbirds, so pm me if you want it Edit: and lp_faint43, thank you for the song, as well as dark-master for the pm
  11. So staff is sending it to everyone who is online, or what? ***: 180 guys online! Come on!!!
  12. I was about saying that the song would probably appear before Mark can share it this evening. Can't wait to hear it!
  13. Well, I always knew this site worked with the mafia!!! ...150 users online right now, and it's only for 1 game/song... What will happen when the new album will come out? HOLY SHIT!
  14. I don't know if it's supposed to, but the "happy reminder" thing made me laugh... Anyway, no problem with that, I'm just waiting for somebody saying the song has surfaced, then I'll be looking for it on the Internet (or will maybe ask a friendly PM =D). And I bet it's the same for 90% of the guys here.
  15. Yeah, the "Look at Youtube/Look at LPL" day has officialy begun. Let's find this song!
  16. Don't get me wrong, I don't own an Ipod either, but I mean, the song will more than likely be all around the net on monday. And that's why I don't except a leak anymore, it would just be pointless. Really, listening to a song 1 day earlier is not a big deal. Anyway, let's see what happen and enjoy the song when it's out =D
  17. Lol. There's only 2 days left before the release of the game + Blackbirds. We have been waiting months for 8 Bit-Rebellion, a leak now would be a little senseless...
  18. Might I be the only one who is a little disappointed by Chester performance? I mean, he's moving way too much, it isn't authentic and it doesn't bring any form of energy to the show. Also, his screamings in "Bullet with Butterfly Wings" are very weak imo (because of the tiredness?) Anyway, with this new haircut and the sunglasses, Chester looks like a clone of the Avendeg Sevenfold singer (see clip of the song "Almost Easy")...
  19. It's kind of sad to see this stadium disappear....If I still watch Live In Texas one day, I will be thinking "Now this place doesn't exist anymore" and that will make me nostalgic... Oh well, I'm not very materialist anyway ^^
  20. I'm loving this track right now....Mike has brought his special path to the song (beat, vocals, general atmosphere), but at the same time, Carry Me Away has a very Cypress Hill-ish vibe to it. It's exactly what I'm excpecting when 2 artists are working together....Great!
  21. And Chester said the music was a mix between Hybrid Theory and MTM. A lot of contradictions in their description of the new record, like always.
  22. So many interesting news in this chat...Mike is teaching his fabulous LA-philosophy to us, fans, how lucky are we?
  23. HOLY SHIT!!! Yesterday I was looking at the cover of this CD and was like" This cover is so random...Would be so easy to copy the CD and resell it. Sure the guy will put out other CD's in the future..." And then, today...Bam, new HT 8 track demo on Ebay! I probably need an exorcist...
  24. LP members are really caring about those days I'm wondering how many times those Ustream chats will continue....It makes me remember when Chester appeared on Twitter, at first he was very active, but then he totally stopped posting. Oh sh*t...So now...what about LP covering Lady gaga's song "Poker Face" on next tour????
  25. FINALLY we get some good LP news Really excited about the song, sounds awesome. The funny thing about it is that I was even surprised to hear Mike rapping, since every new song LP has released since MTM only has Chester's vocals (New Divide, Not Alone, Across The Line) and I was getting used to that. And yes, Blackbirds is the 6th string song without any doubt, like many of you have said....it means we will now have 15 of the 17 final songs from the MTM session. Still need to get the last two, then asking Mike what was the order between them (we already know ATL would have been the 13th), and after that, enjoying our "official" extended version of MTM with 17 tracks!!!
