  1. I don't get why Julian K news gets posted on the main page. This is an LP site not Julian K.
  2. Demos are not bad. ATL still rules IMO LPU is still too expensive for my tastes. Early entry etc is all good but there's only like one rumoured gig for next year?? Could be a waste of money. I'd like to think not for those forking out the cash but still...you never know.
  3. I wonder if Chester's should problem dates back a few months. I remember at the MSG show he had some medical/physio tape on this neck/shoulder area.

    Fall DSP's

I wish they'd give 30-sec samples of the tracks so I could decide if I should buy or not. I've bought some previously but some of the sound quality has been very poor while others are great
  5. Not a great deal of interest on these forums anyway by the looks. No longer part of LPU myself but even so, prices are a little steep
  6. Blasphemy! Everyone is entitled to their opinion but shut the front door both of you! Logically speaking, every member of any band is replacable (e.g. FF & GnR) but why even go there Next people will be saying Dave is not sick but he's leaving the band
  7. Watch the video again. The only people in shot stand still for the whole video bar a slight arm movement. The video seems to be shot right from the back of the arena too. I'd like to see a video closer to the stage. God forbid it was just a bad audience instead of a bad performance. When I watched the MSG performance, the crowd may as well have been statues. The reason APFMH got a louder reaction is because there was fan interaction. As the song moved into APFMH, Mike asked the crowd "Are you ready?" and they responded. Same applies to the "Go away" parts. Crowd interaction is required which is why it is louder. So far, played over BIO we've had: NRL APFMH RMI BITS I think I'm missing one here
  8. Great sound quality on the video. With some practice, Mike could totally nail NRL live.
  9. Solid setlist. I reckon Japan will get the new stuff. I think they'll get Not Alone for two reasons: 1) The songs message speaks to the people of Japan even now 2) LP said when the disaster hit Japan, that a Not Alone video would be made for Japan. As we're yet to see this video, I imagine the band will visit some of the affected areas and record some stuff for the video as well as a live performance video etc Thats my thoughts anyway. I have a sneaky feeling that there will be a surprise like Blackbirds or completely new song. I don't think RB will be played and personally speaking, I'm not really bothered if it ever gets a live performance
  10. According to Sky guide, its on MTV Music (Channel 350) at 11 p.m. Its on the tv guide as Linkin Park: World Stage At the same time on the MTV HD channel, there is also a World Stage performance. However, there's no indication that its the same LP performance. So for now, its only in standard def but there is a chance it could be in HD too
  11. @ Colin Some possible questions for the chat. - if we can expect more gang vocals on the next album - Will Not Alone get its live premiere while they tour Japan (I have a feeling Japan will get something special so maybe Not Alone) - Who's the better drummer, him or Brad? Thats all I got. Hopefully, the chat will be spam-lite for those joining in
  12. we shall see
  13. After a ridonkulous amount of effort on my part, I finally got my download.
  14. Ah now seriously lads...this is taking the piss! I went through all the hassle of getting the damn codes using my stupid crApple Ipod. Entered the codes and nothing......f-in nothing!
  15. stupid cards won't flip for me so I can't get the codes LP need to address this. A lot of folks are having problems. Does anyone know if the codes are all the same or unique?? If they're the same then maybe somebody can post the codes???
  16. I personally would love the DSP for Dublin, Ireland to be released. Not only was it my first & only LP show but it was the very first concert I ever attended at the tender age of 24! I remember Rob's drum solo on BIO and it was pure awesome. One of the best solo's I think he's done and I'm not just saying that because it was the show I went to.
  17. Almost to the 1000th comments. I'm still really enjoying listening to this show. Haven't made up my mind yet as to whether or not I'll buy the EP from itunes. I hate buying stuff off itunes
  18. I might have to buy it now that I knows proceeds go to MFR Tell that to the Foo Fighters!
  19. Thats the name...thanks man. Mike's one looks different to Sheldon's I'd love to hear Mike explain its purpose/part on a song and how he decided and learned to use it. That's your next LPTV episode right there entitled..."Mike & Joe's Top Gear" Ha....see what I did there!
  20. Just watching this great show again. Two things..... 1) During WTCFM...Chester is definitely eye f-ing the sh!t out of someone in the audience 2) Does anybody know the that thingy-ma-jig is that Mike kept holding his hand over? It was on his left side and he used it during Chesters part on WTCFM and also he used it on ND I've no earthly idea what it is but I think I may have seen Sheldon use one in an episode of The Big Bang Theory once
  21. Quite an open interview. Very good reading. Thanks for sharing the link
  22. I do like the mixing on this and I am tempted but I hate the idea of giving those f-ers itunes money! Do you think the full show will get released or do think this 6-track is it? Aside from the possibility of DSP release of course.
  23. This. Props to you for saying it as I feel the same. No disrespect to Pooch. He's a cool guy, has time for the fans and does a great job overall. However, when I purchased 6 DSP's earlier in the year, I was really disappointed with the quality. Each show I bought was so inconsistent. I bought NY (with Jay-Z), Dortmund, Paris, Canberra, Tampa and Tel Aviv. The sound of the NY DSP is probably the best but Dortmund is bad! Call me naive but I was hoping they'd sound just like the live tracks from the LPU cd's. I like my music loud and even up full blast with my headphones on, the sound quality is quite poor on a lot of tracks. I thought the iTunes show was fantastic and I've been listening to the audio rip provided by blackchester. I'd be interested to see if the DSP will be better/worse/same as the audio rip. On a slightly related note, I love TC but I'm not a fan of it live due to the vocoder thingy. However, I've been listening to the iTunes performance of TC non-stop purely because of Chaz's epic roar of awesomeness (I like how Mike sings the 'broken people...' part near the end too)! Chaz did the roar in Canberra to but nowhere near as epic. I love when he incorporates screams/roars like that into his performances such as SIB (extended intro on NY DSP), FTI (extended intro), NMS (on occasion), Points (NY DSP) etc. It literally send chills through my body. I love when they slightly change up a song (I think we all do). I'm pretty sick of OSC but I like the iTunes performance due to the way Chaz finished off the outro. Its different and it refreshes the song for me. I wonder if Chester thinks about & plans these roars/screams/change in vocals before he does the song or if it just comes out during the performance. Overall, I f-in loved the iTunes show and would really think about buying the DSP...if I like the sound quality
