  1. Added him, looking forward to the updates Mark: Important Question Disclaimer: I kid, I kid
  2. I loved Don't Stay as opener in Pittsburgh. W&K as opener works well, but Requiem into Papercut was completely badass, that crowd roared. I'd like to see Robot Boy once though just to see what it's like, but I don't think we're missing out by not having it How is that contradictory if Jornada leads into it. It'd be blunt fact. Jornada was the beginning, and since WFTE is second, it's not the end. Jornada (Beginning) >>> WFTE >>> Rest of set >>> End Notice the lack of WFTE in the beginning or the end. Your argument is invalid because of above proof and :
  3. you gotta hide video, it's not funny without people going "FUUUUUUUUU-"
  4. Hot damn. That was among the most epic post show posts I've ever seen For anyone who knows: How's the DSP stuff working? Is there a charge for the text or that subscription type deal?
  5. My friend's going to the Tampa show, I told her to check out the MFR booth and look for you xD
  6. Iridescent's video could easily have explosiveness in it. Think about the scene in Pirates 3, where the two ships are completely destroying the British ship and how the guy walks along the deck as everything almost silently blows up around him. Also, W&K, to me, has always been something like a "working class uprising anthem" so it could easily have an anarchy/war/riot type video for it.
  7. This. I think that LP will only be LP with who they have now. Different musicians are going to play things differently, are going to have different styles of ideas, leading to a change in the sound. yes, I know they've been changing their sound up, but you know what I mean. They might be able to sound the same live playing the songs from album 1-4, but anything after will definitely be non LP sounding. I can see Mike now more likely to do a DBS type deal than he did with FM, but as far as making that side project permanent, it just wouldn't work.
  8. I've been looking at Rise Against - their stuff essentially is same genre, same format. However, you can also see that as the albums progress, the songs still have the same style, but have much better sound to them.
  9. He's done drum stuff on this tour and backing vocals and isn't he in TLTGYA?
  10. I think in 2-3 albums, based on that, we may get Hybrid Theory 3.0 It wouldn't be what we'd expect from them after them making 4-5 albums not at all like it, but the main thing would be it'd be a much more "refined" sound than the original.
  11. I think Mike has been moving from more of a "behind the scenes" role, to testing his abilities more each album. I think that the others may see this, and are willing to see what becomes of it. Kinda like "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" situation - The other guys may see that same concept and think "let's see what he's got next". I'm not saying that it's "ok Mike, what do you want us to do now?", it's "I like that, let's keep that". Personally, the balance that they are at now seems to be the best position for them now. Mike's rapping - epic, he has great flow, and power behind his words Chester's screaming - I like it, unlike other artists that do screamo shit Mike and Chester singing - their voices are completely different, but mix well with each other, and we've seen the results of when they do that. Instrumentally - they've been mixing up what each person does (Chester, Brad, and Phoenix on drums along with Rob?), so the boundaries they may have previously had are becoming less noticeable, allowing them to further expand the "LP genre/sound" in the future. Gang vocals - damn. That's all I have to say. I think, as a band, they would eventually shift and change as they have, but I also believe that Mike may be a driving force behind that testing of abilities. We might go through a little era of "over-exposure" of Mike and not enough Brad/Joe/Rob/Phoenix, but eventually, they'll find the combination that will be so epic, it will make everyone think "why didn't they do this from the start?"
  12. Loved the first one Really liked the second one Loved how they worked New Divide into different scenes Hoping third one will be better than second If LP does a new song, I hope they incorporate it into the movie's score, and not have it purely just at the end credits
  13. I'm guessing it's Grey Daze as well...or idk. Well this is completely embarrassing....
  14. The past 4 years of my life have been a lie. My friend told me they were the b-sides for MTM when he sent them to me. Dammit dude.... Either way, it still fits in the "album sound"
  15. I don't believe so, or at least, I've been under the understanding that it was a MTM B-Side (WUTP, NRL, NW, and bonus QWERTY live)
  16. I think people will yell at me saying "LP won't go back to old styles" etc, etc, but yeah. I made a playlist of non-album & B-side tracks from LP, and kinda set them up to how I feel, if they were an album, would have a good flow. Obviously since they're already released, they won't be on the 5th album, but as far as style of what I expect/hope to see (mostly hope) I have this: 1) New Divide 2) Across the Line 3) Pretend to Be 4) No Roads Left 5) I Have Not Begun 6) Blackbirds 7) What We Don't Know 8) QWERTY 9) We Use The Pain 10) State of the Art (I know, not LP, but that style) 11) No Way 12) Reading My Eyes (I know from Xero tape) 13) The Catalyst by NoBrain 14) We Made It (same format, but all LP, no guest) 15) The Messenger (How they do it live) 16) Bleed It Out w/ Burning In the Skies (High energy rap song, screamish chorus, sung bridge) On a side note, this makes an enjoyable playlist.
  17. Can you forge mine? but seriously, I really wish I could've gone to this one, but can't make it
  18. I gotta say, Oklahoma City 2008 was, imho, a really cool concert despite that. I only have a few from that year, and it beats out others.
  19. goes without saying, but:: Epic!!! You have had probably a once in a lifetime chance of once in a lifetime chances, and it's pretty awesome to be able to say "Yeah, the Pez guy they're talking about? He and I are on LPLive all the time" The question I have though is : The insane guitar at the end of the first time you played, was that you or Brad? EDIT: Also - MAXI TAXI DOOR TO DOOR SERVICE STARTING AT $3?!?! And - Read the news article, pretty cool, but the wording on some of that stuff is just weird (it just seems written weird to me)
  20. Visually, I like the Special Edition much better, but when I see the regular, I keep thinking of it as Linkin Park's "White Album"
  21. FML I doubt I'll be able to get Melbourne 2 before I go back to school
