I mean, I don't think LP's done much that's worth more effort than checking what you guys post on FB. I'm also friends with some of y'all on there, so the likelihood of me seeing something LP related increases. On the other side, I've lived in four places in three states in the past year, among other big things. Following a band's activity isn't as important as it used to be for me. I still pop in here and there to lurk - will always love LPL - but until the next album starts getting hyped up, I'm kinda meh. Side note, I listened to all 6 albums in a row while driving across the country this past weekend. Rock on lol

New collaboration: Martin Garrix featuring Linkin Park
AParallelogramInTheSand replied to Capacity's topic in Newswire
I don't get why everyone gets so mad that they pop up on EDM tracks every once and a while. It's obviously something they enjoy and while I loved Recharged and would think an EDM album from them would be pretty good, I'd rather have them guest on some people's tracks instead. -
The Linkin Log (Carnivores Tour Vlog)
AParallelogramInTheSand replied to thedamian58c's topic in Newswire
That Shinodaconda thing was quick - she had posted the pic only a few days ago with a caption saying "I'm making this a thing". Kinda wish he kept the other part of the caption "My anaconda don't want none unless you got ketchup, motherfucker!" -
My thoughts - if they release anything, it'll be either: Few instrumentals like Lockjaw to promote something Few instrumentals like Mike had with the VMAs Mall Soundtrack Acapellas/Instrumentals from Hunting Party B-Sides from Hunting Party (or compilation B-Sides album like Rise Against did with Long Forgotten Songs recently) The thrown away demos? or...... Linkin Park can go Beyonce on us and do The Hunting Party II or LP7 EDIT: Or a Music for Relief album? Idk how likely it is but with all the different conflicts going on, it's possible

"Wastelands" - Ian Camfield, XFM (June 1st)
AParallelogramInTheSand replied to lgr's topic in Newswire
From what I've found, these songs need to be played loud before making a judgment. That and combined with my computer's speaker settings, I've realized I need to either have them on my iPod or in my car. GATS - it's alright, it'll grow on me. In the car: FUCK YEAH LET'S GO DO SHIT UIG - eh. In the car: I DON'T CARE IF I CAN'T SING I WILL BELT THIS OUT TILL I'M HOARSE Wastelands - pretty decent, first verse seems unfinished? In the car: TBD Overall, I'm really impressed with this album, not just because more LP material, but because the songs are fantastic. Can't wait for the leak/release -
New Features / List

Site looks great!! My question is what the new points method is? Been trying to find stuff on it but having no luck Edit: After seeing my post and the "0 warning points", I'm guessing that's what it refers to? -
Transformers 4 to Feature... Imagine Dragons
AParallelogramInTheSand replied to hahninator's topic in Newswire
They're fantastic, the snippet sounds awesome and high energy. I think they'll do a great job as the headliner band for TF. Kinda makes sense since it's a new trilogy, new set of actors, new look to at least some of the transformers, so new main band would be logical. As far as it being bad for LP not to be the "Transformers Band", I really doubt losing that association will do any damage to their popularity. If anything, I think it's better for them, considering TF2 is considered a disaster (although ND was great), and TF3 was largely considered "eh". If anything, I think Transformers needed them to help with increasing hype for the movie. -

Julien-K Announces "Death To Analog" Evening
AParallelogramInTheSand replied to hahninator's topic in Newswire
Yes they are and yes they're awesome -
If this is a legit tracklisting, then I knew GATS had to be first because of the intro being so long that it could be like an intro to the entire album as well. Now, if that's the case, then it would seem that they're likely not gonna have an instrumental. Otherwise, I'm willing to bet that Line in the Sand would be the instrumental because HT, Meteora (not counting Foreword), ATS, and LT all had instrumentals/preludes for track 11.

5 Song Reviews by Rolling Stone & Loudwire
AParallelogramInTheSand replied to lpplus's topic in Newswire
I hope there's a verse or so on the new album with the flow from Mike's verse in Foot Patrol (the one that starts the demo out, not the one from UIB). It was insane. That and the verses from Asbestos are so addictive to listen to. -
I doubt this is real, but may as well put it here and find out the story
-
I don't think they're gonna do something like MTM with Wake being the first track. GATS has just as long an intro so I think if anything it could be the first track and kinda be like the "intro instrumental" and "first regular song" combined. It just seems right to me to have it there unless the rest of the album's tracks have really long intros as well.

Making Of Guilty All The Same + New Song Names!

I'm really hoping that the instrumental they'll likely have on this album will be titled "Instrumental" because that'd be too hilarious -

"Guilty All The Same" - New Linkin Park Single!
AParallelogramInTheSand replied to hahninator's topic in Newswire
Nickelback did Bottoms Up for rock and When We Stand Together for pop. Bottoms up was alright, wwst gave me cancer. Linkin Park doesn't need to do the same, but I think they'd benefit a lot if they released another song before the album release that isn't as rough as GATS, so people would be willing to play it on mainstream radios (song doesn't have to be mainstream) -
"Guilty All The Same" - New Linkin Park Single!
AParallelogramInTheSand replied to hahninator's topic in Newswire
A thought occurred to me - what if GATS is like the LGM or Wretches and Kings of this cycle? I mean, it's definitely hyping the album up, but not with "mainstream" fans. This track was directed to the hardcore fans, who are gonna freak out about it and share it. "Old LP" fans are gonna see it and like it bc they're "back". Three months out, there's already a lot of buzzing around for the new album. April would be a great time to release a radio friendly single and do the music video and everything for that, like they did with Burn it Down. This would target the people out there who are casual LP fans, along with people who aren't technically LP fans. - The single gets traction in April, powerhouse in May with combined Hardcore, Returning (OldLP), and mainstream/new fan audiences. - Album releases in June to built up hype. Transformers 4 song also released to promote movie, adds to hype and sales. Actually, they may pull TF1/WID combo and have just an album song in the movie, combining the two songs I mention. -

The raw Chester vocals, guitars sound similar. I think there are some bits where they could easily be compared. -

Few thoughts on it: 1) Definitely better with headphones than without 2) Sounds like newSTP a bit 3) As far as playing this live, if Mike won't rap Akim's part, then I could definitely see them pulling something like BIO's bridge and throw verses in to replace the original verse. I think this may be a song they play around with live. 4) Could definitely see this as either a set or encore opener to get the crowd hyped. -

Prolly not LP, but damn, I wanna see this movie so bad now -
I really hope they add a show in Atlanta - I may be moving to Legrange, which seems nearby. Tampa will likely be the other tour date I could make.

Disney's done that, they announce a convention where they announce things!! -
That's what's confusing to me - what happens after the third song? they just kick you out into the rest of the place? By the time the third song's over, the only places left would be shit
