  1. Anyone else notice the fact that there's a completely opposite mood in the video than the Making Of ATS? ATS : rushed, not happy with their situation This : the happy, do whatever stuff I definitely think WB loosened their grip, and LP took full control to do what they want with this record. No matter what it sounds like, I feel it's going to be at, or almost at, the peak of their "attitudes toward music" whether with Warner or without. If Warner or another label continues to let them do whatever method they're utilizing, then we will have numerous records with this heart behind it. If not, then it'll be less than expected on each record.
  2. and that's pretty cool anyone else expecting him to say "bowties are cool" at some point in the article?
  3. I'm expecting a kind of Jornada Del Muerto progression. Vocals with "transe"-y music Chorus with electronic music Verse with original music Chorus with more aggressive music Rap to continuation of 2nd chorus music EXPLOSION of Chorus and Music to bring the song to an incredible climax Quick outro with deceleration of music that leads into the next, more aggressive song
  4. EDIT: NVM, ignore me. Know this: numbrocker is a good poster for information not all sources are true/right, but take them with a grain of salt.
  5. And I'm guessing that's where the "Living Things" hint was referring to?
  6. Meteora is heavier than A Thousand Suns Greek Orthodox Monasteries = heavier than the explosion of 1000 stars? If Living Things is the album name, I think it'd be in reference to something about the album's theme, possibly like how each song "has a life of its own" or something like that
  7. Calling : fake. Can easily edit web pages to say different things using Chrome.
  8. It's Mike firing his laz0rs, Phoenix battling rage faces, and Chester as Nyan Cat
  9. This has me a slight bit worried. I'm hoping the style of these positive lyrics are more along the lines of "Breaking The Habit" and Iridescent, not like "Not Alone". I have always liked LP's headstrong theme among many of their songs and hope they keep the "fuck them, you can do this" attitude in the new album instead of becoming like cheerleaders going "you got this, tiger!"
  10. I'm thinking that musically, it's gonna sound like a mix of Sum41's Screaming Bloody Murder, LP's ATS, and throw in a bit of Rise Against's Siren...Counter Culture.
  11. I think ATS was rushed, because in the Making Of ATS, the timeline for the album started out about February, 7 months before the release. Up until that point, they had been working on a lot of other songs (according to Chester), which were the ones that sounded like PTB and WWDK, which, imho, sound very different in style than the ATS batch. Fingers still crossed for my original theory that they took the Post-MTM/Pre-ATS batch of songs and refined them into a perfect blend of the three eras of LP ^.^
  12. Cruel Daze of Summer + Flowlights = amazing. I had them while listening to it and it was an incredible experience.
  13. Incredible album, definitely on my list of top "loved entire album from first listen" cds. Really different from DTA, but still definitely Julien-K
  14. Really, am I going to be the one to say it? Empty Spaces Demo. Crickets only version. But seriously, I'm hoping for completed demos similar to Pretend to Be, etc
  15. From Ryan directly: Nobody's on bass, keyboard and electro bass by Fu Give me your name will not be premiering. "Nope! Not yet!"
  16. 2008 - "I heard fucking Pittsburgh knows how to fucking party! Am I right?? I want you to sing like it's friday night at the pub, the Pirates just lost, and you have nothing better to do than sing your fucking hearts out. Can you do that? Let's go!" same show - LOATR was the new single, and they were saying to put up lighters, cell phones, anything with light to make it like a starfield
  17. Geki - I think most people wished him happy birthday on his facebook
