  1. If Chester was screaming over them and Mike was rapping over them, would you like them more?
  2. I think that'd be a good thing. MTM's transitions were sort of shitty, whereas ATS used the multiple interludes to make the transitions not so jarring. But if every song is nice and fast (with some variation of course), then there's no need for transitional interludes and the transitions themselves won't be as bad. Also, I don't see why people are passing judgement on the title of the song, calling it "cliche" and shit. It's a song title. We haven't heard so much as one line yet, if it's even the title. Chill out.
  3. HT and Meteora are practically the same album so it doesn't matter which one you choose. Yeah, wow, this RS "article" just takes snippets of the Kerrang! interview out of context and presents itself as a full article. Shitty thing to do but hey, that's RS.com.
  4. HE HIDES BEHIND HIS LIES THOUGH HOW CAN I EVEN GET WRAPPED UP INSIDE THEM
  5. perfect post I'm excited for this song. Hopefully it'll be a decent indicator of what the album as a whole will sound like and won't be a sort of bait and switch like What I've Done was.
  6. Hey, who's even saying that it's going to sound like ATS? I haven't read a single post saying that. I've seen people hoping it'll sound like ATS, but no, everything we've heard so far in interviews and such indicates that they're moving away from the ATS sound and to a harder, heavier sort of deal. I personally wouldn't mind an album similar to ATS, but I wouldn't beg for it either and I won't shit on an album that's not ATS 2. I'm interested in hearing how the electronic elements will manifest themselves in a heavier album, personally. I think that has the potential to make a fuckton of fans happy.
  7. Pie chart could very easily have been Kerrang pandering to fans and doing baseless speculation. @Qwerty18 not the way LP did it. That's what the person you quoted was referring to. Now, let's not blow this interview out of proportion. We're not getting Hybrid Theory 3 (not that anyone said we would). "More guitars", considering what LP has been doing the past few years, probably just means "more prominent guitars" because ATS was covered in guitars, but in a subtle, quieter fashion that added to the soundscapes the album built. I think what Chester is trying to convey is similar to what Nine Inch Nails did in regards to The Fragile and With Teeth - The Fragile was an epic two-disc, two-plus-hour masterpiece with numerous overarching themes, and a loose storyline throughout the album, tied together by repeating motifs and complex soundscapes. With Teeth, on the other hand, was most definitely an album of songs - some of them shared themes, sure, but there wasn't an overarching theme that tied it all together. The songs all stood on their own. What I was most interested in was Chester's mentions of the lyrical content; glimmers of hope, of positivity. That's something I'm not used to seeing with LP. That's what I'm definitely most interested to hear more about.
  8. I was about to comment "what the fuck are you talking about Joe had nothing to do-" then I was like "oh wait, not that one, the other one." Your avatar didn't help. I didn't expect this many tracks, really. A pleasant surprise.
  9. Solid score, pretty well done, though some of the shorter tracks are a little bothersome because they're so short. Both vocal tracks are badass. Worthwhile release overall.
  10. Yeah, it's track 22, after "Drug Lab." OP just missed it. Soundtrack's pretty good. The GBC track is growing on me. My favorite score track might be Hole Drop right now, followed by Putting a Mad Dog Down.
  11. Doesn't that have the same problem of trying to find a way to co-headline, though? A7X is big shit. Though it'd certainly give me a reason to go see them live. Haven't felt the inclination to before. Honestly I'm not feeling Incubus on the tour. Not a fan.
  12. You must think QWERTY's a masterpiece then.
  13. Cannot wait for Tuesday. Can't wait to get the physical album, either. Gonnab e a nice addition to my LP-related collection.
  14. Predicting a Tuesday digital release. This Tuesday or next Tuesday, to be exact.
  15. Fair enough about DBS, I forgot about that. But you stated precisely what I was saying: don't even bother comparing The Raid's soundtrack to anything LP might do because they're two entirely separate projects.
  16. I think more accurate comparisons would be "Fort Minor sounded nothing like MTM, Dead by Sunrise sounded nothing like ATS" because those were solo projects and this is a solo project, not a full-band side thing. That was a bit nitpicky. But I just wanted to put out a more...accurate comparison? I dunno.
  17. Enth E Nd is a good remix, imo, and the guest verse is certainly better than others, but I can't stand behind you on H! Vltg3...that guest verse is just bad. Sorry.
  18. Someone help me find my shit, I seem to have totally lost it. I cannot wait for (mostly) solo Mike work. And also the track with GBC vocals.
  19. If this date is legit, I wonder how early a Tampa date would be. I'd need to plan around band shit...or skip a football game and drop a letter grade. Can't wait for an official announcement.
  20. Personally I feel that this shouldn't even be a question. Mike's voice definitely improved from MTM to ATS, and his singing is significantly better on ATS as a result. That's probably why his voice was featured more, aside from it fitting the lyrics of some of the songs more - it just sounded better on ATS.
  21. Maybe the end was only in color because confetti. And confetti in black and white is boring shit.
  22. The film looks too intense for me. But I want the soundtrack. Hopefully we'll see a release in April or something. Or maybe even the Tuesday after the film. But probably not.
  23. Ironically those weren't even the lyrics in the album versions.
  24. I'm impressed by your response.
