  1. I'm pretty sure there'll be a worldwide iTunes release around the time the song drops in the US. And even then, it'll be online at most an hour after some radio station plays it. So just breathe, sit back, and wait just a little longer. Meanwhile, 13 tracks, no longer than 50 minutes, and first week of June.
  2. My local radio station is saying 9 AM EST. And then they're going to play it on the hour every hour for the rest of the day. I'd think that the premiere will be simultaneous worldwide. But of course some radio stations are probably going to break that and play it early.
  3. I'd absolutely love to see longer sets. 90 minutes is absolutely not enough for me. Then again, I'm used to seeing live acts like Rush and Bruce Springsteen, so... I think if Mike took the lead more vocally in shows, to give Chester a break, they could totally pull off a two-hour set. It seems like the tours are going to be shorter from here on out anyway.
  4. Hrm - well, that could mean that he doesn't (or didn't this time) have a hand in that, but I highly doubt that. I really do want a nice, huge package to match my ATS one, and I can certainly afford it in a couple weeks once my band money finally comes in. We'll see. Welcome back, by the way. EDIT: Oh, and I think that last line refers to release dates for a multitude of countries, not different versions. Probably.
  5. Have you given any snippet of Burn it Down a listen? Sounds nothing like HT or Meteora. I'm not saying it's representative of everything on the album, but don't wind yourself up into a frenzy and then scream about it here if/when you're wrong. Now then. I'm still not sold on the album title. Just not feeling it. However, I'm sure that the music (or Mike) will explain it soon enough, and even if I don't like it then, I'll at least get it. Moving on. Mike really is a great writer. Not just in the songwriting sense, but when writing pieces like these. I enjoyed reading that blog post quite a bit. It gave a us a great (if brief) glimpse into the band's mindset the past five years that showed us a bit more than the Making Of documentaries didn't. All this has gotten me even more excited for the album. Now, blowing over a hundred dollars on that Super Deluxe Fan Edition tomorrow (if the previous two album releases have set a precedent), not as exciting. >_>
  6. what the f- why is he doing it so late ugh OF COURSE I MISSED IT WHY DID I EVEN SIGN UP FOR LPU
  7. I like that idea of the progression quite a bit. We'll see in a couple days.
  8. You weren't joking about that? That's crazy sir. Anyway, the huge singles (OSC, ITE, probably Faint, probably Numb, maybe BTH, WID, BIO, Catalyst, and probably Iridescent and WFTE) will most likely stay or be rotated (I think OSC, ITE, and BIO will be at every show). Most of the ATS material, like the albums before it, is going to be cut, especially the interludes. Songs like Wretches and Kings, When They Come for Me, and Blackout will probably be rotated in the sets. Five albums in with the set length that LP is comfortable with, combined with the commercial nature of the band, means we'll be getting just a Greatest Hits of the first four albums. I'm thinking MTM is gonna take the bigger hit of the two more recent studio albums, considering a lot of the songs on the album are really ballady and wouldn't mesh will with the purported sound of the new album.
  9. that twitter account isn't even- oh never mind. You know, people keep saying "oh that doesn't sound too heavy", but the song builds with each chorus until it completely explodes after Mike's verse. That's what I heard in the earlier leak, anyway. Can't wait to hear the whole thing on Monday.
  10. I'd prefer to know details of the album before I preorder, that's essentially what I was getting at. Details being more than just the title, rather, a title, cover art, release date, track list, etc. That's neither here nor there, though. I'd like to apologize for my second post in the topic. Unnecessarily rude of me.
  11. Don't be a tool. Numbrocker jumped the gun here. Especially when we're getting the album title on Monday (how do you pre-order an album without knowing the contents?), this topic is entirely unnecessary.
  12. No no no no no no, don't use such an inflammatory and ridiculous title when Mike just sent one tweet with a hashtag. This doesn't confirm anything.
  13. You son of a bitch, you jinxed it. Seriously though, what horrendous timing to make a post like that.
  14. His favorite album is Meteora. Don't worry about it. If we're talking about weakest first singles (in retrospect), man, One Step Closer is a shitty song. Just saying. Putting them in order from best to worst (not counting BID), I'd say it goes The Catalyst, Somewhere I Belong, What I've Done, and One Step Closer.
  15. Why's that? You didn't really elaborate.
  16. Wow holy shit there are a lot of guests lurking. Welcome to LPL kids! Our server probably won't die! But man, I'm really liking that track. It's a lot more electronic than I expected, considering what Chester and Mike have said in interviews, but damn it's a good sound.
  17. This is a great interview. Thanks for posting.
  18. Are you scrolling while doing it? Because that's what controls the zoom function.
  19. It's not even worth it. They're all one to two second tiny little pieces. We're getting the song on Monday. It doesn't matter. It's just fun and games at this point. Speaking of that, a fun thing to do is absorb every last piece in the area so that you're the only one.
  20. This game is so much better than the sliding puzzles, oh man. Now I'm more excited for the puzzles. If the fucking thing would save my progress.
  21. The Florida dates better not fall during my summer break or I'm going to be very upset. In any case, hell yes, new tour. Finally.
  22. This article just got me a lot more excited for this album. June cannot come fast enough.
  23. Welcome to the Linkin Park fandom. We all find things to bitch about. You get used to it. Soon you'll find something to bitch about too! I like self-titled albums because then the album title won't give you any idea what the album sounds like because hey, no title. Except in Weezer's case because the albums all sound the same woops ANYWAY My local radio station is advertising a Burn it Down premiere at 9 AM EST on Monday.
