  1. The album length doesn't bother me a huge bit, honestly. I just don't want LP to end up taking a step back after ATS, whether they perceive it as such or not. I'm going to enjoy the album regardless of what it sounds like unless it's literally a bad album. I'm excited for Mike to put down the guitar and bring out the MC again. But I don't want to be sitting there when the album's over and go "was that Hybrid Theory 3?" And another thing, regarding bitching about the new album and such, if you think this is a new thing or that this wasn't around, welcome to music fanbases. Put on your jockstrap and suck it up. Any band that's been around for more than two albums is going to have a fanbase that bitches about everything. Also, BlacK0uT, I could respect your opinion a bit more if you weren't such a pompous asshole in literally every post I've read of yours. Talk about bitching and whining, man. You need to realize that you're not above anyone else and you need to stop acting like the rest of us are fucking stupid.
  2. /thread I never really think about song titles, honestly. Especially with a band like LP where you hear the name repeatedly in the chorus, usually. I do like No Roads Left, Iridescent, and Burning in the Skies as song names, though.
  3. Something's going to be under a bench somewhere at "1 PM" tomorrow. 1 PM what time zone, you ask? Fuck if I know. Probably pacific time. Who's done with puzzles? This guy and probably most of LPL.
  4. This is funny to me because I feel like the HTEP was the low point of their pre-HT career. The reworked demos of Carousel and Part of Me sound so much better than the EP versions, even though the changes aren't too drastic, and I don't have to explain why the reprise of High Voltage blows the original out of the water.
  5. All I see is more fanboying. The album's sounding a lot more like a complete backpedal to HT and Meteora. But we don't know any of the lyrical content beyond Burn it Down (which wasn't that bad) just yet, so I guess we'll just have to wait and see.
  6. In the Live Guide, for What I've Done, what does AMBO stand for? I know it's the indicator for that specific intro, but what does "AMBO" actually mean?
  7. "bass heavy LP song" LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL okay, keep on wishing for that one. Remember those people that kept saying "oh it's not Chester it's just some random guy" during the Burn it Down puzzle shit? Yeah, where are they now, huh? Anyway, this was a pretty cool episode.
  8. That's because it's the only LP song worth learning on drums because it's not a basic 4-beat rhythm.
  9. No, I think Astat's right here. Dude labeled the album a "modern classic." This reads like the kind of thing an LP fanatic with an inability to review music impartially would write. No thanks. I'll wait for the actual album to come out. Also, the "best album of the decade" label strikes me as idiotic because we're not even three years into the decade.
  10. Stop attempting to bring that LPA shit over here and maybe we'll stop shitting all over your posts. So has there been any activity on that Twitter account that was discovered?
  11. Precisely. You have to wade through a whole bunch of shit in the LPA topics, whereas everything that gets solved there gets posted here in consecutive posts.
  12. But instead something is happening where A Thousand Horizons took place on Thursday or Friday. I can see this becoming an obnoxiously long campaign of finding clues to other clues. It's like we're all Nicolas Cage or some shit.
  13. New song clip Thursday or Friday? I'll take it.
  14. Hey yo, maybe LP should actually set up the subdomains before sending us on scavenger hunts that they expect to take days when in reality they all get completed in like an hour.
  15. Because we here at LPL just love LPBR. I remember, there was something similar to this going on as part of the promotion for the English-language adaptation of The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo. This should be exciting.
  16. Is that really why? All she did was sing on the chorus. That's more than a little childish, especially when it was Mike's project in the first place. I wonder what the other issues were.
  17. You guys know that the exclusive is going to be released anyway, right? It's not like LPL is holding it hostage.
  18. What if it's an entire set of Reanimation demos, not just FRGT/10? what if the Team Sleep remix of My December is finally going to surface? Obviously I don't actually expect either of those things and will be perfectly happy with whatever we actually get but why not throw around some baseless speculation? It's what LP fans do best.
  19. The problem with Pretend to Be is that it's marked as 2008 on the LPUX disc, and the five songs that were cut presumably were completed and ready to go, but instead were cut just before release. I'd agree that Across the Line, No Roads Left, and Blackbirds could be three of them, and What We Don't Know is a likely candidate for number four due to it being a complete song marked as from 207, but Pretend to Be surely isn't. Unless the years are inaccurate.
  20. Because it sounds just like FRGT/10? I don't see what kind of point you're trying to make here.
  21. Oh, if only, if only... Some of them are probably really horrible though. Actually, I think most of them might be pretty horrible.
  22. That's probably going to make a lot of people happy and piss off a lot of people at the same time. Still waiting on that Florida date, bastards.
  23. Oh hell yes. I'm really glad I didn't preorder before. I'll get around to this later in the month. How long is the contest running?
  24. I wish they'd used the super Caucasian take. That was golden. Or at least put it up for the LPU.
