  1. You guys are acting like Warner's marketing tactics are somehow worse than LP doing it themselves. I guarantee you that if LP went independent after their contract was up, you'd never hear another new LP song on the radio ever again. That's the reality of big-name labels - the marketing machine. Warner can throw millions of dollars into marketing for LP - they just didn't, for whatever reason. Has LT even gone gold yet? If LP split from Warner, in order to keep themselves relevant they'd have to sign with another label. Going independent isn't an option for them, unless of course they want to be that band that sells less than 100,000 copies of each of their future albums for the diehards.
  2. That would be useful to have, since I guess that's the closest thing to "official" cover art we'll have for the album. Do you happen to know what The Red Disaster was? There were two tracks from it (tracks 2 and 11 apparently) included in the original dump, both of which were included in the Stereo compilation.
  3. Stereo wasn't mastered? Huh. Sounds damn good regardless. Scans would be awesome. If you have the cover(s) for Stereo, that'd be even better. Take your time - no one's in any hurry to have more Rosewood Fall stuff.
  4. I'm not going to believe a damn word Mike says about Fort Minor until I see a press release and a release date for an album. Until then, there is no new Fort Minor ever coming in the future. That's the fact of the matter.
  5. Oh great, now everyone's going to fucking whine about new Fort Minor for another five years.
  6. What was the HDtracks series?
  7. Two hundred and fifty dollars. Jesus.
  8. Who the hell came up with this one? This is just silly.
  9. This release is filled with all kinds of weird shit.
  10. I just listened to No Roads Left, and I'm not entirely sold on the added drums. It's just the rhythm from the end of the song pasted over the second verse, and it ends really abruptly when the "real" drums come in. I dunno. It's louder and higher quality than my old copy, so I'll probably stick with this one as the main NRL.
  11. What's the quality that iTunes usually has for songs? Not sure if Blackbirds is worth the 1.29 compared to the one I have. Definitely snagging NRL, though.
  12. New Divide is already available separately on iTunes. The point of this release is to give casual fans tracks that they wouldn't come across digitally on iTunes otherwise.
  13. I'm impressed that there are bonus tracks that the average fan wouldn't actually stumble across.
  14. That's...the point I was making. Did you read my post?
  15. I've seen collections like this. It's good for people who've heard a bunch of tracks on the radio or internet and are willing to take the plunge into the main canon. For people like us, absolutely useless. Nice art though. If it was a box set with a bonus disc and attractively low price, it'd be mine.
  16. LGraham was talking about the DVD that came in the Best Buy Fort Minor Militia package from 2005, which most of us use as cover art for those tracks. Cool your jets, man, you don't need to systematically disprove everything someone's saying.
  17. "Wants" does not mean "it's gonna happen", just remember that. Personally, I hope it doesn't. B.oB. doesn't sound all that good to me; there are much better artists out there to collaborate with.
  18. http://www.amazon.com/Family-Values-Tour-V...alues+tour+2001 I know you said digital, but iTunes only has 98 and 99, and you can get the CD for three dollars total.
  19. I initially thought Blackbirds was one of those tracks, but I forgot that it had been finished for 8-Bit Rebellion in 2009 instead of 2007. Debris doesn't sound complete enough to be part of the final tracklist. I'd say that No Roads Left, Across the Line, and What We Don't Know are three of the five. Considering the recent LPU trends, I don't think we'll get the other two at all.
  20. Actually, it's always seemed to me like a song needs to get really, really far in the creative process before lyrics are applied to it. I don't think they have as many songs with lyrics as we think they do. The ratio in the LPU albums makes it seem like the vocal tracks are being spread out to make sure that they don't run out too quickly.
  21. That'll teach us about buying LPU memberships.
  22. Well, we've still got the January remix coming according to the email, so maybe that one will be the LP remix. Or whichever one is supposed to be the last one.
  23. That's fucking hilarious, that it drops in the moment we start wondering where it is.
  24. The email for last month's was titled differently for some reason, and also explicitly stated that there'd be one this month...were there eight months of remixes in total?
  25. I'm pretty sure you can install without a product code and just steal the samples out of the file paths. I don't know what format they're in, though.
