Typical response by an LP fan who just approves everything they do and makes excuses for them. The cover is plain and boring, i don't get how anyone can say it's awesome. I could have doodled something like this and thats saying something. I don't have a problem with fans being divided, it's what challenges the band at the end of the day. Lastly, LP album covers usually suck apart from Hybrid Theory so it's not a big deal to me. Meteora was completely random ( i don't care how the explained it), Minutes was awful, and this one is crap too. haha I literally just saw it right before you posted this. Looks like we're getting an album cover soon? Are we suppose to connect the dots lol It says please set me free conversation is the key. Are we suppose to retweet this and after a certain number of times the clue is revealed to us? Mike posted just the last couple days on his blog that the LP facebook page has 8 million fans, gaining 4 million in just months. I think he's aware of the number of LP fans the internet can reach, so why not use it as a tool to the market the album. Anyway just a theory to reveal whats hidden behind the dots...or thousand "suns"..

Track 10 easily. Only version i've really enjoyed. Track 4 was the most creative, awful rapping though. Track 11 had potential, but was too choppy with the vocals Track 12 was cool, but 10 was better otherwise it would have had my vote. Anybody else hate Mikes part? It's hard to make anything sound good when his part comes in.

It looks like a hole in the atmosphere OR view of space from a spaceship window lol I like the faded black and white images we're getting. Im just getting an edgy vibe about this album and love it so far..

I'm assuming the contest is going to be run for a relatively short period of time seeing how their putting a fan on The Catalyst and the song debuts in little more then 3 weeks (yikes!). I think it's an awesome idea, i'm all for it. I mean how rewarding will it be for that one fan when his little piece is played live by Linkin park across the world for years to come. I wish i played an instrument or knew how to use those beat-making programs, i'd so jump on this but i'm not creative at all musically

Im split right now I don't really like "A Thousand Suns" as an album title. It sounds a bit generic for me. Meteora is still LP's best album name..Simple and unqiue. As for "The Catalyst" as a single name. That KICKS ass!

I would say album cover, but it's way too soon for that. Remember way back when Joe said that "the way we're going to get the album is going to be different" I forgot what exactly was said, but I remember thinking out of the box for how the fans would get the album and experience it. Maybe this is related?

I think it's album title and release date to be honest. Same as with minutes to midnight when mike slipped and posted it on myspace then took it off. he seems pretty antsy to get this kind of news out hence the blog update yesterday lol Pretty sure its a press release. I think the record is officially done, they just need to do a press tour and drop a single now the coming months

Please please please release date info for the next album. I just want to know when exactly it's coming out! And FUCK I have to go to work in an hour, i'm not going to know what the announcement is until around 11 pm tonight

^ Once again I disagree. Having a release date as you said means LPTV, a single, little clips here and there, forums are ALIVE again, etc etc. The hardest part for me is the YEARS waiting in between with riddles and mysteries behind the album from the ever so secretive guys at LP Please God let there be 15 tracks on this album.

Man i'm tired of the hypocrites here. Sometimes I post my opinion about something, maybe thoughts on the new album and whatnot, and i'll get the most obnoxious response. Saying "this is terrible" doesn't equate to anything. At the end of the day it's one person's opinion, and if the dude who made this can't handle one person's criticism then he shouldn't be making music or remixes in the first place. You guys shouldn't be acting like some soccor moms about it. Also, when i said this is terrible, some mod quotes me and says have some FUCKING respect. I find it ironic that a person tells me to have some respect by using profanity. Lastly, how is this newsworthy? It makes the site look amateur by posting ANYTHING even remotely connected to the band. 'lets post a freelance remix, of a song by one of the group members side projects on a site marketed as the LIVE aspect of the band"!

Have some respect? Do I know this person? Did it sound good? Hell no, why should I sugar coat it?
