  1. Lupe Fiasco, Jay-Z, and Linkin park and another solid band Have 2 stages, one hip hop, one rock. All 3 are connected to each other and are friends, all 3 have albums releasing this year ( LupEND, Blueprint 3, and the LP record), if they put that together that would be what Proj Rev is fukin all about. Would be a dream come true for me, i've been a Jay-Z fan since 97, when LP mashed up with him I got really excited. If they toured together, wow wud be awesome..
  2. Please people don't waste his time and ask dumb questions 1) When's DBS coming out? He's answered that a million times already, when there's space in between an LP project. LP comes first and their recording so NO dbz anytime soon DUH 2) Whens the next album coming out? They hope this year if all goes as planned, DUH 3) Whats your planes for the next album? M2m opened the doors to experiment, so thats what they're doing, DUH Ask specific questions about the next album people, be creative, and don't ask things that have been answered a million times already!
  3. Why does it matter to LP about what the GENERAL PUBLIC thinks they sound like? They're fan base is so HUGE because of the nu-metal sound. Anybody who thnks MTM is anywhere near as good as Hybrid Theory and Meteora are kidding themselves. Sure it was more diverse and offered some quality songs like Shadow of the Day, Little Things, etc, but those "Papercut" "Faint" " A Place for my head" style songs are SUCH an original and unique sound that made their careers. What exactly do they have to accomplish by continually experimenting so drastically? It just makes me think that Linkin Park as a band have a HUGE ego in that they need to prove to the world how "GOOD"they are, when in reality just DO you're thing ( which is HT/Meteora sound) and your fans will f'n love it. I"m all for some experimentation like breaking the habit, maybe some more tweaks here and there but don't call this process "Experimenting" when you're actually abanonding you're sound and starting from scratch. Stupidest move ever by a band that had so much potential..
  4. Pretty sure Mike wouldn't care if people posted it elsewhere..
  5. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ptFcP0mldug...feature=related Mike's vocals on Faint live. lol he sounds TERRIBLE " i won't be ignoredddddughhh"
  6. I agree somewhat, but I defianntly agree that Chester's window to get DBS started up WILL be next Spring/Summer. I think they're still writing and still tracking rough vocals and instruments right now. I think they definantly have a "concept" for what they want to do and topics they want to talk about RIGHT NOW. They might even be a few songs in already. I see LP finishing up the album around March-Aprilish. Then they would mix the album in May-June. Chester would probably have a 1-2 month window to market/play a few shows and get DBS up at that point, as the album's getting mixed. Then that summer/fall LP would go on an international press tour while simulatenously playing some shows in those cities, get a single on the radio, and prep for the album's release that late summer/fall.. I see a stadium tour early 2010, few months off, then proj rev summer 2010. No matter what I think LP is going to start cooking up albums a lot faster here on out. Judging by Mike's posts on his blog about getting material out there, profiting, etc it sounds like being independant and releasing albums digitally is the way to go, so I can see LP releasing albums to get out of that contract in the next 2-3 years. I see a Greatest hits album on the horizon, 1-2 studio albums, and one more BS album like R2R ( not to say it was BS but it was quick to cook up and satisifies an ALBUM for warner).
  7. Hey on other forums I post they got random threads like this so you can post videos of the band whether it be cool moments you saw at a particular show that got uploaded, or little videos showing LP's fun side. Post away! Here's a few to get started: ( Me time) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F79fSPFdPBY...feature=related (LP destroying Tom Green's van) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c914ruuIdBk (classic And One live performance, with Mike stage diving lol)
  8. Awesome i'm a hip hop head as well, and like A LOT of Cyprus Hill songs back in the day. Looking forward to this track. Anything Mike touches turns to gold when he produces ( i.e. Lupe fiasco- the instrumental, depeche mood remix, etc etc) so definantly keeping an eye out for this one.
  9. Who says it's a new tour? This could just be a one night only gig, maybe add a few more shows in Japan and surrounding areas to make up for the music for relief thing they missed. I think it would be a good oppurtunity for LP to get back in the flow of things and play a little live music after working on the albums and sitting their butts at home doing nothing the last few months. Also, I really think they'd play a new song at the show similar to Qwerty a few years back in Japan if true. Here's for hoping ...
  10. Wth_vltg is just EPIC! I love the subtle atmospheric effects you put in there. It really complements the music, and how you just layered it all together and made it mesh well was awesome
  11. I've been a lurker of lplive.net, but I registered right now just to comment about how awesome I think this remix EP is. Seriously dude, GREAT job. I've been working on a similar project actually...You really got creative, love love love what you did! Definantly gonna have these songs on my IPOD for a while
