  1. Linkin Park AND Pendulum! Wow count me in. February 8, 2010 baby, i'm so pumped.
  2. Im going to be there with a couple of friends. I haven`t seen LP since edgefest 08, and Project Rev 07 so super pumped about this!
  3. Duh, but the thing that pisses me off is if this was another band we'd get 10 full length songs.
  4. Yep. At the end of the day as others have said they're incomplete demos, except pretend to be, what we don't know, and i have not begun which have vocals. I have not begun is probably the only song I liked, mike was pretty hard on that beat.
  5. 6 instrumentals. 1 song that was leaked a while ago ( pretend to be) 1 remix that we've had years ago ( WID) Basically 'I have Not begun' and 'What we don't know' were the only legitmate songs worth listening to and they were pretty mediocre. One's all Mike. One's all Chester. No screaming. Meh that was a disappointment. moving on..
  6. Acoustic version of Burning in the skies? A LEGIT duet between Chester and Mike? That would be sweet.
  7. Ah shittttttttttttt! so im literally going on no sleep last night because of an essay i had to finish. I have work today from 12-5 which will push being up to about 36 hours. If this leaks by the time i get home i'll be a complete zombie listening to this all the way through, should be fun! lol Anyway let the guess games begin! 01. Unfortunate (2002) - i bet this is an instrumental 02: What We Don't Know (2007) - m2m session, so melody driven ballad type song 03: Points Of Authority Demo - oh nice i get to add to my collection of point of authority songs lol i can literally make a Linkin Park album titled Points of Authority with Mike's mean mug on the cover slurring forfeit the game, track list 1-20 with Points of authority live, remix, reanimation, techno, live again, etc etc etc ugh not excited for this one 04: I Have Not Begun (2009)- ATS session?!?! Looking forward to this one. Chester said the earlier stuff was heavier, maybe a screamer song. 05: Pale (2006)- Sounds like an instrumental.. 06: Pretend To Be- Heard it. Digged it. Nothing new. 07: Divided (2005)- The post-meteora/pre-minutes phase. we got qwerty during that phase which was a lot like old LP but a little different. this one maybe as well. 08: What I've Done (M.Shinoda Remix) - *sigh 09: Coal (1997)- Bet this is Mike rapping all over this song 10: Halo (2002) - Definantly a slow song, Meteora phase, or the session they scrapped when they made their sophmore album? I think at the end of the day 2 maybe 3 will definantly deliver, the rest will be short instrumentals, or incomplete stuff like on LPU 9. Oh and congrats LPlive for winning the context! Maybe have a thread where users can submit questions, and you guys pick the best? It'll be a cool way to get the users involved to indirectly communicate with the band.
  8. I know it's not the greatest album ever made, but it's honestly my favorite...all-time by any band/artist EVER. I just have such a personal connection with this album, and it's been with me during the good/bad times growing up these last 10 years. I still listen to this album to this day. Maybe not start to finish ( which i've probably done a million times, but a track or 2..or 3 here and there). It's not just an album for me, it's just a part of me. It's really hard to explain and this might sound odd, but i've never made such a connection to something like this before musically but it's just "been" there for me the last 10 years. I went from moving from Los Angeles to Canada, to moving out of the house and living on my own. During those plane rides, bus trips, to work, days when im down, days when im up, etc Hybrid Theory has just been there with me during those experiences. Once again I know it sounds odd, but no album has done that to me. I've connected with this album on so many levels, from emotionally, to it's power/energy, to it's vulnerability, etc. It's just been a part of my life in a way. Favorite song on the album is "Papercut". I honestly think THIS is Linkin Park at it's finest. It's just so catch, unqiue, the guitar riff is awesome, Mike/Chesters performance was awesome, and that bridge is just an orgasm. I can rap/sing this song backwards. First time I heard it live was in 2007, and it was honestly such an awesome moment for me being at the pit at my first LP show hearing my fav song played live in front of by my favorite band. I got into Linkin Park after Hybrid Theory was released. A HT commercial was playing on MTV with a video snippet of One Step Closer and the tag line HT is in stores now. I wasn't even into rock at all, but that chorus was just so catchy. I just wasn't into "that" kind of music, so I didnt buy the album or anything to have any desire to hear the record. My sister ended up buying the album and played it religiously. I hated it at first ( ha!), mainly because this ISN'T my type of music. She ended up buying Frat party at the pancake festival and i watched it with her, saw all the videos, etc and still didn't have a desire to hear the album because once again this wasn't my type of music at the time. I kept saying that over and over for literally years. When Meteora came up, my sister bought the album again and played Faint and Breaking the habit for me. I fell in love with those 2 songs, then one day behind her back I played Hybrid Theory and Meteora start to finish, back to back and was just blown away. I officially became a SUPER fan in 2004. Around 2006ish, I started to visit LP websites, and the rest was history. LP was part of my daily routine. If not hearing a track, at least checking for updates on websites. I can honestly admit that Hybrid Theory has been an addiction for me years now in terms of music I listen too. I'll hear a new album by X artist for a few days, then when I get bored and have nothing to listen to...back to Hybrid Theory aka old faithful when I want to listen to something good to jam too lol It's just a cycle, hear something else, get bored of it, back to Linkin Park. I don't tell people that, and a lot of people don't even know how big of a fan I am of that album, but yeah easily my favorite album ever. I cant' even rank the songs in order of how much I liked them. I view the album as a unit, which is kind of ironic because thats what LP was going for with ATS, but Hybrid Theory is MORE of an expeience to me top to bottom then ATS. ATS is purposely made that way, whereas HT just IS for me. Thats what makes the 2 different, and why I prefer HT. For example, when Papercut ends im already humming or thinking about One Step closers guitar riff automatically, or when A place for my head ends, im already preparing myself for Chester screaming " from the top to the bottom", etc etc, the album just flows really well together. It just feels like a runaway train that can't be stopped once Papercut starts until Pushing me away ends. There's NO fillers on this album, or any moments on the album where the energy dies for me. I can care less about the negative stigmas attached to nu-metal, the creativity and freshness of HT was incredible. It opened doors for other genres of music for me as well, amazing what just ONE album can do. Happy bday!
  9. I like Chester's vocals on this version with less effects added to it. The lift me up, and the outro has more energy on the album version though. hopefully someone blends the two and pops it up on youtube. i like chester with less effects, but everything else on the album version i liked more
  10. Wow who'd have thought The Messenger would sound so awesome live
  11. I prefer the older stuff, even m2m over ATS, but ATS songs live are awesome! Chester on drums during when they come for me, the requiem to wretches and kings for the intro, fallout and the catalyst beginning the second encore, etc AWESOME. Can do without the messenger, and a different closer, one step closer or faint.
  12. It's just my opinion, but it's not what I pictured at all. There's a great message behind Waiting For The End, taking the artsy route for the music video doesn't do the song justice in my opinion. It looks like New Divide part 2. What they should have done? NO clue. Do I like these screenshots? No. Should I wait until the video comes out before jumping the gun? Probably lol
  13. I would debate with you, but after reading what you wrote on your signature it's a complete waste of time. And I can name a dozen artists right now who tour and release albums every 1-2 years lol You're such a blindless tool obsessed with LP that they can do no wrong.
  14. Clearly you don't watch or read any of the interviews posted by the band for the past month, and for the last couple years regarding the new direction after Hybrid Theory/Meteora. The band, specifically Mike, has said for time and time that people will like or understand the new stuff/direction, and the people who dislike it are fans who want HT and Meteora again. Am I wrong? I don't have the patience to look up all the interviews and specific quotes right now, but if I must I will tomorrow if you want to continue this debate. Also, how dare you say patronize me i did not make a fool of myself i just spoke my opinion. congratulations for getting a hard on over the post by the way by the way.
  15. I'm not a metal head at all, but I think A Thousand Suns sucked. Well not sucked, but it was an ok album, not great. I hate how Mike thinks the only people who hated ATS are metal heads who want Hybrid Theory/nu-metal because that's not true. ATS had way too many interludes and was overproduced. Gems of the album were Burning in the Skies and Waiting For the end. Wretches and Kings was a fun/nostalgic track but nothing special. The album just did not deliver after 3-4 years of waiting ( which is the BIGGEST issue for me, if they can put out an album 1-2 years a time then whatever, but i hate how slow they are in creating music) and all the teasing by the band pre-release. It just fell flat for me. I still listen to the album regularly, but meh it's just ok..
  16. Yeah most first week sales since Lil Wayne's million in a week. And first guy in about 6-7 years to follow it up second week with 300,000+ sales. I think he sold 100,000 k minimum for his first 4-5 weeks. Dudes a beast in selling record, he just appeals to a lot of people especially with how commercial his recent album is. Even im a fan.
  17. Thank God all is right in the world. Trey Songz makes the most cliche r and b shit for women. LP put so much effort into making meaningful music, glad they got rewarded with the #1 spot on the billboards. Although 250,000 k first week sales is a bummer for LP standards, it's good to see they still got the #1 spot. Congrats LP!
  18. That album had staying power on the charts. 24 million sold worldwide, including 10+ million in the US. A Thousand Suns will be lucky to get 1 million in the US. Sure the music industry has declined, but downloading music via torrents and other methods have been around for years now. Minutes still exploded with 600+ thousand first week. One was the follow up to Meteora, the other to Minutes to Midnight, so that should explain it all unfortunately...
  19. Yeah these sales are just international. Only 54% of sales have been reported. LP can still get the #1 spot once everything is counted.
  20. 18th birthday. Cousin took me to a strip club , im just about to get a lapdance and "Numb" starts playing lol I chuckled in my head because i was saying quite the opposite LP in my head.
  21. The crowd sounded like they were Waiting for this Song to End. Its boring live. Like much of the record it's way too overproduced and difficult to replicate into a live performance. Chester sounds a million times better on the the studio version's chorus. Mike and Chester rapping together is a bad idea. The bridge was awful too
  22. I don't really care what we get as long as none of the tracks are like 30 second instrumentals. That's just a throw in and deceiving as part of a "10 demo" cd. Also, no remixes please.. However, some Meteora and ATS demos would be nice. Particularly a full instrumental of this song , Rob's drum solo http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S_09qz5TMgk And that song Chester was singing in the making of meteora documentary that went " thoughts that take away my pride" or something.
  23. ^The estimates usually count for variables like that, but as you said LP's fanbase is huge so you never know. I just think as fans we need to rally those who illegally downloaded the album to go out and support the band. How we do that on a large scale i have no idea lol
