Getting around to working on this finally before the 2025 tour kicks off.
-
Chester is in the show intros/interludes when they use Iridescent. Castle and Burn It Down appear to be just Mike's vocals. He's also in the APFMH verse 2 vocal sample Joe plays.

Seems unlikely they'd do another big physical release with just doing a zoetrope and digital edition. Just because we know some song titles doesn't mean a lot of other songs exist in full. Some things we do know exist are: Watch Their Mouth (unreleased, seen on the Making Of) and In Stereo (demo, heard on the Making Of). I watched the stream where he went into the FM folder and talked about Most Kings on Twitch. He said it was just a beat that did not turn into a song. Besides the one extra song, we have no idea if anything else in full exists, but the Fort Minor Militia songs are pretty cool. A good compromise here is a digital deluxe edition with maybe one vinyl or something - do a full 2005 or 2006 show. Surely they have SOMETHING recorded in full... this was after LP started recording shows themselves. And include the Fort Minor Militia songs too along with Watch Their Mouth and some demos. I think the demand is there to do something like that if DBS just did a release themselves.

The band has 2 days off after: Bogota, Lima, Buenos Aires, Santiago, and Sao Paulo. They built plenty of time into the schedule should they need to add more shows in any of those cities.

Our very good friends at linkinparkbr have reported that Linkin Park is almost guaranteed to return to Morumbi Stadium in São Paulo, Brazil this year. The band's return is scheduled for November 10th, with a few days off after the show which could lead to a second night again. Fans may recognize the venue name Estádio do Morumbi as the home of Linkin Park's very first show ever in Brazil, back in 2004, closing the Meteora World Tour. LP reportedly played to over 80,000 fans in attendance in what is widely regarded as one of their most popular concerts. LPBR reports that due to a scheduling agreement with Live Nation in Brazil, all big concerts in São Paulo are being booked at Estádio do Morumbi as Oasis, Shakira, and Stray Kids have booked a combined five shows at the venue already. This would be a very welcoming 21 year return for the band to the venue. In October and November of this year, Linkin Park will be embarking on their largest tour of South America ever in the band's history. Eight shows across Colombia, Peru, Argentina, Chile, and Brazil are already announced, with more likely coming as there are quite a few days off after most of the shows. The venues have not been confirmed by the band yet nor has ticket presale/onsale information but that will be coming eventually... we are still fresh off of two massive shows in Brazil for the From Zero album release. LP hits Brazil again starting November 8th, with shows in Rio de Janeiro, São Paulo, Brasília, and Porto Alegre announced so far. We'll update you as soon as venues and ticketing information is confirmed, but one thing is for sure - this tour of South America is going to be legendary for the band as it combines every single country they have performed in before on the continent and they will be performing in very large venues. Top 5 Worst Decisions In LP's career
LPLStaff replied to JZLP-Benningstrong's topic in Everything Linkin Park
THP had a massive time off. The 2015 tour was canceled in North America. The band was off the whole first part of the year, had 8 shows then 5 then 10 and a few one-offs. That's an extremely easy year for them. Mike started writing for OML in 2015 but they took all of 2016 off, partially because Chester was in rehab I'm sure which is why they didn't play a single show all year (very abnormal for them). 2017 didn't get going for the full band with shows until really May - 2 years since the start of the THP 2015 stuff. That's an incredibly long time off. And we know from LPTVs over time the full band isn't in the studio all the time - members pop in and out over time and it's Mike doing most of the heavy lifting work. OML is such a short piece of work that they spent an insanely long time on with not that much to show for it as the weakest album in the discography. Brad likely was coming off the road one day eventually anyway with his injuries and insistence on playing shorter tours. Rob probably would have stayed in the band, but he was getting injured too. Think it was only a matter of time before Brad dialed it back and went to a studio-only member of the band. You are right that taking 2017 off could have helped Chester but no one, even his family, knew the severity of what he was going through and it's hard to just pull the plug on plans with a major label and tens of millions of dollars invested in stuff globally for an album. They didn't have a deadline on OML with Warner but they still had a record contract with albums due eventually. -
This could be one of their most-viewed performances ever, so yes, a round-trip from LA to this like they just did for the Saudi Arabia show is worth it. They will need to rehearse at some point between the U.S. festivals and Europe if they want to add any other songs to the set for the Europe shows. There are also only 2~ weeks between Europe and the U.S. tour second leg. Hopefully they'll come with a big arsenal of songs in 2025 to rotate them around quite a bit so the sets don't get stale.

UK's The Sun is reporting that Linkin Park will be performing at the half-time show of the Champions League Final. Taking place at Munich's Allianz Arena on May 31, 2025, this performance will come about two weeks before the European Tour kicks off at NovaRock. The Sun adds, "Linkin Park have signed the deal and they’ll be playing at the Champions League half-time show. It’s a really exciting gig for them and they will be doing some of their biggest hits like One Step Closer and Papercut, as well as new songs. Last year Lenny Kravitz was the performer, so they are following in some pretty big footsteps." Munich was notably left off of the tour of Germany in 2025 for the band, so this performance will give fans in Munich a taste of LP on the From Zero World Tour.

Linkin Park returned to the stage in 2024 with a massive setlist for their shows, extending to over two hours for the first time in the band's career. Featuring 27 full songs along with a variety of interludes and of course the crucial 'Empty Spaces', the band has already started rotating quite a few songs and incorporating deep cuts, new songs, and more. With tracks like 'Lost In The Echo', 'A Place For My Head', and the brand new (to the live show) 'Keys To The Kingdom' already rotating in the setlists along with 'Lying From You' & 'Points Of Authority' and 'My December' (a major highlight of the show) & 'Friendly Fire' now being in a rotation spot, there is still a lot to come in 2025 as Linkin Park has played only around 10 full shows. Phew - that's a lot of songs popping in and out of the show already. In 2024 interviews, Emily mentioned 'Overflow' twice as being a song that not only she wants to play live, but one that Linkin Park has discussed performing. It seems likely that the track will show up at some point on the From Zero World Tour. Over half of From Zero has already been performed live, with just 'Cut The Bridge' and a majority of the second half of the album left - including 'Overflow', 'Stained', 'IGYEIH', and 'Good Things Go'. It would not be surprising with the new band lineup if the entire album ends up being performed throughout 2025. About 'Good Things Go', Mike said that he was surprised it became one of the fanbases's favorite songs on the album... maybe that song could make its way into the show. Online near the end of the 2024 live show dates, Mike Shinoda mentioned that the band has been discussing adding 'From The Inside' to the show and that he'd like to play it. This shouldn't come as a surprise as that is one of the main Meteora songs that has stuck around for many album cycles, including the European Tour for One More Light, the last tour the band did with Chester and Rob. Colin, on Instagram Live before the Korea show, said that he liked 'Runaway' and that the band had rehearsed more songs from The Hunting Party - we've already seen an extremely strong and well-rehearsed live debut of 'All For Nothing' with Page Hamilton in Texas. With two live debuts from The Hunting Party in 2024 with 'Keys To The Kingdom' and 'All For Nothing', the band has not only surprised fans with their versatility to dig deep in the catalog for songs that were never performed live, but have shown that they are willing to do things that perhaps the original band lineup wouldn't do live. And that's not pointing fingers at specific members - Mike has said some band members prefer to stick to a main set with minimal changes whereas others like to change it more. Showing that they are able to nail songs from The Hunting Party with Colin, Alex, and Emily, they should in theory be able to easily handle other songs from the album. Linkin Park has a larger catalog than ever before and shouldn't be afraid of pulling as many songs out as they can - singles, deep cuts, b-sides, remixes, mash-ups, anything. They have already started the From Zero World Tour extremely strong with a lot of songs and unique rotation spots, exceeding any such expectations fans would have had upon hearing the phrase "Linkin Park will be performing live in 2024." We are excited to see where this takes them in 2025. Our take? Pedal to the metal on The Hunting Party, 'From the Inside' is an easy win, and ...let it rip - add/try anything you might be feeling, new or old. With one of the largest touring years in a very long time set for 2025, what songs would you like to see Linkin Park perform live, either new or old? Linkin Park kicks off the 2025 dates with a three show stadium tour of Mexico, beginning January 31 in Mexico City.

LinkinPark.com starts selling The Emptiness Machine CD Single
LPLStaff replied to LeonardoMF93's topic in Newswire
Been over 2 weeks (it was also up for a week prior to that, so 3 weeks), so it's definitely sold out now. -
A quick turnaround on the latest LPTV, which is out now, of Linkin Park at their first show in Saudi Arabia ever!
-
It's talking about the full Billboard show. The full Brazil show is not out yet.
-
It sounds passable for a cover band, but the actual band themselves need to sound a bit better with the guitar, IMO. The strumming makes sense, maybe that's why POA, etc sound so different. Papercut. In other news, this looks like the full show:
-
Did they rebuild all of the amp effects? What's really going on here? Is there a rhythm problem with Alex or is it the amps? @Astat Not trying to be super critical but there is quite a noticeable difference here and it's not in a good way. It's across the entire show. Papercut, A Place for My Head, all of it.
-
One Step Closer: https://www.instagram.com/p/DDhsY6RPxkE/ They need Brad Delson desperately. Not sure what else to say lol, the guitars are extremely different with Alex - in a bad way. Not enough of a guitar player to tell you what the problem is but the sound of the LP guitars has taken a drastic downturn.
-
Brand new mix and new angles. Looks great. Theater release is going to be massive.
-
She seemed sick at this show. It happens. Love the Joe extra scratching on the SIB intro. He didn't do the main one before the song sample though. Adding those two elements together would be perfect. Also maybe the first time Alex is this audible on guitar on the intro and verses of the song. Don't think it really even needs that guitar part since we're so used to hearing it without that being audible in 2024.
-
Awesome setlist for only 75 minutes. Well done.

https://x.com/FooArchive/status/1866414124198199398 Wow, Foo was on this and replaced with Muse
-
Think it's likely they will announce China in the next 6 months - Joe said they are working on it. Mexico probably gets some live debuts.
-
Well the festival probably paid a ton of money knowing LP is huge in France. But they were already announced for Download Paris by then, before they announced Hellfest. And Hellfest was WAY beyond sold out when LP got announced too. So, who knows.
-
Kaha Juan on Facebook posted about the band playing in India in February but says the band announced it, which they did not, lol. Interesting amount of hype around this - let's see if it happens. https://www.facebook.com/kahajaun/posts/pfbid0wDCPNkv4cwUNThRUiU7vCduTw3A7LYKUXkc3qCSwdMRX1wonUd4efXuTn5gySP3Zl

Can you believe it's already time for Linkin Park's final show of 2024? Coming back as a band in September, LP has already played eleven full shows amongst a group of other promotional performances (TV, League of Legends, etc). The band closes it out with a show that was not announced until November 14, 2024. According to the festival website, Linkin Park will be performing on the Big Beast stage from 9:00-10:15 p.m., a set of just 75 minutes. The band's launch show on September 5, 2024 fell in at 63 minutes, meaning they could fit two or three more songs into the show. A safe bet for this is about 16 songs, of which LP will probably have a hard time picking because they have debuted so many new songs recently. On the most recent leg of the 2024 shows, LP debuted 'Over Each Other' in Paris, 'Casualty' in Texas, and 'Two Faced' in Brazil. It is likely at least one or two of these songs show up in Saudi Arabia alongside new tracks 'The Emptiness Machine' and 'Heavy Is the Crown.' The band's live debut of 'Two Faced' in Sao Paulo, Brazil on November 15, 2024 (Night 1) Another recent highlight from the band has been the posting of the song 'My December', a true iconic song in the 2024 setlist, on YouTube recently, but it is unlikely that song makes it to Saudi Arabia unless LP decides to go with a really deep cut. Looking back in the region, the most recent visit by a member of Linkin Park to the Middle East was Mike Shinoda's Post Traumatic Tour hitting Tel Aviv, Israel for two shows in March 2019, as some of the final shows he performed on the road solo. Mike's touring drummer Dan Mayo (who was also at the Brooklyn 2024 LP show) is from Israel and Mike credits Dan with the tour visiting Israel after Europe. Highlights from those shows include a verse of 'Dedicated' appearing over 'Lift Off', long-time production manager Jim Digby joining the band on 'High Road' (his favorite song), and Mike's security guard at the time Ed joining for 'Watching As I Fall' on guitar. Unfortunately alongside the highlights from Israel, these shows are known in the LP community as when disaster struck for Mike - his footage that he recently shot on the Post Traumatic European Tour (including walking backwards off stage in Luxembourg) for the 'Hold It Together' music video was stolen by customs. Tour videographer Chady had his hard drive with the video footage stolen and it was never seen it again. Luckily, Mark Fiore came to the rescue years later in 2023 and was able to create a good music video for the song from tour footage and behind the scenes footage. Some of the footage was shot by Chady on tour as well as Lorenzo, so Mark did the best he could with what he had to work with! Mike's 'Hold It Together' video from 2023; although the concept was different, some tour footage was saved to be able to use in the video Linkin Park's first and only visit to the Middle East came on the A Thousand Suns World Tour, where they performed in Abu Dhabi and Tel Aviv back-to-back shows in November 2010. These shows came directly after the band wrapped up the ATS European Tour at London's O2 Arena and were huge shows for LP. Abu Dhabi was treated with one of only two performances of a VERY unique Linkin Park set - one with 'Fallout' and 'The Catalyst' opening the show, which only happened one other time at the show prior, in London. This setlist has gone on to remain pretty notable for fans over the years. An extremely rare 'Fallout' / 'The Catalyst' show opener by Linkin Park in Abu Dhabi 2010 In Tel Aviv, Chester sang a beautiful rendition of 'No Woman, No Cry' by Bob Marley before 'The Messenger' as a thank you to fans. Both shows were excellent performances by Linkin Park and luckily, both were released as Digital Souvenir Packages (DSPs) so you can listen to both shows in full (Abu Dhabi, Tel Aviv)! LPTV Episode 49, chronically Linkin Park's last visit to the Middle East... over 14 years ago all the way back in 2010 As far as what Linkin Park has been up to lately, the band wrapped up their latest run of shows a few weeks ago concluding their main/quick 2024 around-the-globe touring run. With headline shows at stadiums in Paris and Arlington, TX, LP snuck down to Colombia and Brazil to celebrate the release of From Zero. Setlists were massive, with a heavy dose of the new material. Of note is that both shows in Sao Paulo, Brazil were filmed for an upcoming theatrical release in 2025. They have had no shortage of professionally mixed material already for the comeback, with the From Zero Digital Expanded Edition featuring three new songs ('The Emptiness Machine', 'Heavy Is the Crown', and 'Over Each Other') professionally mixed by longtime sound engineer/partner of the band Ethan Mates, alongside the entire From Zero launch show being recently/quietly mixed and updated online. Adding to it, Ethan has mixed 'Two Faced' in Brazil and 'My December' in Hamburg.. giving the band quite a bit of new live release material already. A full-on theatrical release likely followed by a new blu-ray will be welcoming for fans as it has been quite some time since the last full Linkin Park live release, not including the Hybrid Theory 20 and Meteora 20 box sets. One More Light Live was an audio-only release in 2017, Live in Monterrey was just part of the show in 2014 (from a 2012 show in Mexico), the Living Things+ release in early 2013 had four songs cut, so we'd have to go to A Thousand Suns+ Live in Madrid back in 2011 (for a 2010 show) for a full release. Yes, we know about 'Wisdom, Justice, and Love' - ha. But that's WELL over ten years ago... wow! This will be the first show in Saudi Arabia for Linkin Park and while it may be a shortened set compared to what they are used to be playing, it has been a very long time coming for the fans of the band in that country. Known for their super restrictive laws on women that have started easing up over the past five or so years, Saudi Arabia has recently started heavily promoting tourism and trying to bring in a variety of western acts. Although, it is interesting Linkin Park has never acknowledged this show on social media as it just showed up on the website the day of the From Zero World Tour announcement for 2025. With all that said, Emily and the band should be totally fine at this show and fans in the region will finally get to see Linkin Park again. According to the schedule, before Linkin Park on the Big Beast stage, popular Saudi singer and composer Abdul Majeed Abdullah will be performing. After LP finishes, the legendary Eminem will be playing right after them. This marks the first known time Linkin Park and Eminem have played the same show to our knowledge... ever. If that wasn't enough, Martin Garrix plays after Eminem, until 2:00 in the morning. And this brings up a really opportune time for Mike to join Martin for 'Waiting for Tomorrow' if he is up for it. Could we see the first joint live performance of the song? Created during the One More Light era in 2015 and 2016, this song has risen to massive popularity on streaming in Mike's catalog of music. In Tampa in 2018 on the Post Traumatic Tour the day the song came out, Mike spoke about having a new track (with Martin Garrix) out that day. He said that he liked the song and would like to play it live, and may end up adding it to the set, but that it would not be in the show that night. Could we finally see him sing on it live? 'Waiting for Tomorrow', a collaboration with 54+ million streams on Mike's Spotify, one of his 5 most popular songs on streaming Fans will have no shortage of great music at this show, with Armin Van Buuren and David Guetta performing even after Martin Garrix, on a different stage. Other acts through the three day event at Banban's Soundstorm festival site include Muse, 30 Seconds to Mars, Steve Aoki, The Roots, Jason Derulo, Calin Harris, Busta Rhemyes, and more. General admission for the three day event is coming in at 469.00 SAR, which converts to about $124 USD... a really reasonably priced festival. This show does not look like it will be webcasted or streamed at all, but fan videos should end up being really solid as the production of the stages in Riyadh looks incredible. Interestingly, Linkin Park will not be performing at any holiday radio shows this year, but that likely has to do with the band keeping their comeback as secretive as possible and the radio shows booking lineups for the December shows much earlier than September. So, we could see LP on some of those in 2025. Linkin Park has a MASSIVE 2025 lined up, with the largest North American headlining tour in over 20 years alongside visits to Europe, Asia, and more. We don't have to wait long for more shows, as they head down to Mexico in January to start the 2025 slate and have shows following that in Japan and Indonesia. Additionally, Joe Hahn said they will be playing in China at some point (details still being worked out) and there is a noticeable gap of no Australia & New Zealand... meaning this world tour likely goes into 2026. There are lots of shows to cover and we're looking forward to this last show of 2024 as well as a massive 2025. Let's see what Saudi Arabia has in store!

There may be some good resale tickets available, the social media comments seem really pissed Muse is playing lol
