This is a good sign for the band for the future of their touring in Europe, but touring in general. Munich is such a nice city. Allianz is only holding shows temporarily while Olympiastadion is upgraded, I believe, so it will be a dream to see them at Olympiastadion one day there in the Olympic Park.

The QR code is only for LPU early entry if you want to do that.

Huge news fresh from Mexico, just days after Joe Hahn reported that Linkin Park was looking to return to Mexico soon: Linkin Park will join the legendary Foo Fighters and Chappell Roan as headliners at Corona Capital, the first appearance by LP at the festival, taking place in Mexico City from November 14-16, 2025. Linkin Park will headline day three, which features Deftones and Weezer as well. This show comes just days after the band wraps up their South American Tour in Brasília, Brazil on November 11. Who will be seeing the band in their return to Mexico? This is the first time Linkin Park has ever visited Mexico twice in one year, but comes right off the heel of good news as Pollstar reports the band grossed over $5.5 million USD to over 64,000 fans in Mexico City in January.

If Madrid sells out they could easily add a N2 if they wanted. Maybe the smaller venue is to test the Spain market and fanbase since they are unsure. The LPU pit thing means LPU members cannot buy it after the presale. And if it isn't sold out then they'll release it to the public.

But they had all of 2016 off and took their very slow/sweet time with OML. It was the first year they didn't play shows. But Chester had some internal stuff going on in 2016 too, stemming from 2015 incidents (not just him breaking his leg). Maybe they did need more time off. Hindsight is 20/20 on that stuff. They probably felt they had an entire year down and were excited to do a new era.
-
Yeah seemed like the opposite of low energy to me. They sounded great. Pre-recorded instrumental to get it perfect but the vocals, performance, etc was all really good.
-
Didn't the Spanish fans say there isn't a suitable 30-40k venue closer to the city or something? I know the "no seating" but the benches is what I mean, lol, those are seats.
-
Email lpuhq@lpunderground.com and ask them. They reply to that email. You can see not all the seats are standing. Just the 4 floor sections. There are 4 levels of seats which look like first-come, first-serve, or possibly assigned (unknown at this point).

8:30 isn't that unrealistic, they have been going on before 9:00 in the U.S. - like 8:45-8:50 range. They play just slightly over 2 hours. So, the Madrid venue really is 34k. That makes sense since the other stadium is 65k (too big) and the arena is too small.

Check this one, it has a bit more before Mike and Emily start singing. https://filebin.net/7hxlygrgrfc9u1ol

It shouldn't be too crowded, they don't sell them to 100% capacity because of regulations with emergency protocols - like if something happened and they needed to evacuate the show. So, if it could hold 700 people, they will sell it to 500. Or insert number here. Know what I mean? There is always room in the sections at the back because they don't want problems to occur. This is why U.S. arena and amphitheater floor tickets are only sold to fill up part of the floor and not all of it. Based on seating charts/maps I've seen in Europe - yes. 100%. Front of FOS seems like the best spot to be at these stadium shows, in my opinion. We were lucky in Arlington that the LPU Pit section extended beyond the catwalk, so you could stand in front of it. Let's look at Berlin 2025 for example. Here, the LPU Pit is way too close to the stage. If you want to see the full production (boxes/screens above the stage), and the band on the catwalk without having to turn around in the pit to look behind you, you want (2) FOS in that big section.

Really enjoying the editing on the LPTVs. Also like that the episodes are longer. Makes you really wonder what happened during One More Light era to have no LPTVs - wasn't that strange? They played some great shows then, too.

You need a valid LPU membership to do LPU early entry. For the USA, you can have a friend in the LPU buy you pit tickets and you go in normally - there is no checking of the LPU membership at the show (entry or entry to pit). You only need the membership in that case if you want to access early entry, which in that case it IS checked by the LPU team. Your friend that is going with you since you bought 2 LPU pit tickets is fine. She just cannot do LPU Early Entry unless she has a membership too - she would have to enter at the normal doors. But that really isn't a big deal and should not worry you. You do not want to be super close for these shows, trust me. The production is very big and they spend considerable time on the catwalk, so you will have to turn around a lot. The very back of the LPU section is almost too close to the show anyway.

Is there any recording of this with the full intro of Emptiness Machine? Everything, including LP's video, seems like it has a cut intro.
-
It's the trailer for the show.

What about this for the tour? Stockholm Hamburg Hamburg N2 Rock am Ring Rock im Park Wien Munchen Munchen N2 Download Festival UK Lyon Rock in Rio Lisboa Florence Seems quite possible. And the headline shows (besides the N2s) are all announced, and only festivals remain - Rock am Ring, Rock im Park, and Download.

Cool mashup of the Numb remix into UFTB. Thought they did well!

Interestingly it looks like the LPU website now says, "Passport Plus memberships purchased starting September 5th, 2024, and onwards will have access to an exclusive pre-sale when available." So you can join now and be in the second presale, just not the Legacy one. This is right from the LPU page: https://lpunderground.com/pre-sale

Saw that LP and LPU said Firenze Rocks, but it's a solo headline show at that same site. It's not part of the festival. It's LP on their own. It looks like they do this to prevent scalpers from signing up. You need LPU before the announcement.

All great points - the crowds at the shows have been a ton of younger fans. They are very excited to see LP. The band going viral on TikTok so many times since 2017 definitely helped contribute to that. Random songs, too. And it's extra good to be an LP fan right now if you're you because Joe just said they want to return to Mexico very soon. lol
-
Seems like next year could be Australia/NZ, Europe, and Mexico. That would work. They really hit some of these mega-requested spots like Spain and Portugal with this. And there are gaps for more shows... maybe they play Download since it's in the middle of June - hence no UK dates.

In a surprise announcement and taking full advantage of the Champions League performance, Linkin Park has announced a summer 2026 European Tour! This tour will visit cities and countries the band is very familiar with like Hamburg and Munich, along with new stops in new locations like Florence, Italy and Lyon, France! The announcement so far in advance of the dates takes advantage of the band's Champions League performance as well as the tour kickoff for Europe that happens in a few weeks. A major festival announcements is included, as the band will be returning to Rock in Rio Lisboa in Portugal for the first time since 2014. The festival posted (and then deleted) a teaser that included a clip of "New Divide" along with a shot of Brad Delson from the 2014 show. Also included are stadium shows in Stockholm and Vienna, with a heavily-requested return to Madrid, Spain too. There are gaps in the tour, as usual, so be on the lookout for more shows over the year for next summer! Where will you be seeing the band next year? June 4 update: Linkin Park has announced a second night in Munich, Germany on June 12th. June 17 update: Linkin Park has announced 3 more shows, second night in Hamburg, Germany on June 03, second night in Madrid, Spain on June 24th and Werchter in Belgium on Jun 28.

Internationally, LP is a bit bigger than they were before. They were not playing the stadium in Mexico City, the stadiums in Paris, London, Berlin, etc. Yes. No doubt they are larger internationally now than ever. The capacity of all those arena shows does not equal the stadiums they play now, and they sold these stadiums out instantly. USA is probably pretty even across the board. You play Arlington to a great crowd in a stadium and then have some smaller markets not doing well, but let's be honest - One More Light 2017 amphitheater tour was selling really poorly across the board. What are the odds with Chester during OML they were able to sell this many tickets in Tulsa, Omaha, Grand Rapids, etc? It's likely very, very similar. But they are now able to do 2 nights in some cities. As Mike said it's up and down in the U.S. markets. Across the board they are doing just fine in the U.S. - notice how many "B cities" and "C cities" (not main markets) they are doing on this tour which of course aren't going to sell so hot for many rock acts. They are just fine in the main markets.

Estimated 1 to 1.5 million there in-person. And it was webcasted. But in 2005 with events going on globally all at the same time, especially with London having a once-in-a-lifetime lineup with U2, Pink Floyd, Coldplay, etc... no idea how many watched LP in Philly online but probably well under a million. This should be, in our opinion, their most-watched event ever. Only 3m+ watching at once should easily set that. With a 400m+ estimated viewership of the game itself, it seems like a slam dunk they'll get at least a few million eyes on this performance.

Streamed here and you can set a reminder for it: https://www.youtube.com/live/4GK6dB3xIQ4?si=wtxTP3gEyDHyytQk Taking In The End, Numb, New Divide, BURN IT DOWN, The Emptiness Machine, and What I've Done. They will undoubtedly surprise us with some sort of medley or mashup of something. Coldplay's Super Bowl performance is an example I am thinking of, where they hit Clocks, Fix You, and Up & Up in a mashup at the very end of their performance - and it was epic. Love Munich - saw Mike's tour there (it snowed!) and hope to see LP play there again someday.
