  1. Because it's better to be sure about something these days; we previously in the early days of the website post a ton of rumors, leaks, etc and as a result there was a good bit of misinformation around. It isn't solely about that, though. The band does not ASK us to refrain from doing that, but out of respect we choose to do so because as LPLive has grown since 2006, they (the band themselves, especially Mike, and their management team and label) have been nothing but extremely kind to us when they honestly don't have to have any relationship with us at all. They have helped us with information throughout different points in their career and we have a great relationship with their team, especially Adam, Lorenzo, etc. We just don't see any reason we need to upset anyone by blasting leaks. For the same reasons, that is why we refrained from ever mentioning Emily publicly before the reveal, etc. We have lots of conversations internally about what we should say or not say and we try to be as professional (we are just a fan site, of course) as we can with it all. As we've aged, we've preferred to let the band roll their own campaigns out and we report on them as they happen. Of course people have heard the song with the leak, but we still truly don't know what it is for or really anything else about it. Great track. Let's see what happens from here.
  2. Following teasers over the last week or so online, Linkin Park has posted "Up From the Bottom" on social media, which is likely indicating it is the title of the new song they will be releasing. As far as what this song is a part of, or really IS, we are not sure. The band posted a photo of the six of them in the studio today with the (likely) song title and so far, that's really all we have after the teasers.
  3. The studio clip is the same chord progression as the MIDI, right?
  4. https://download.linkinpark.com/sites/g/files/g2000019736/files/2025-03/LinkinPark_UFTB_DownloadPage_FBOG.png File name on this image includes UFTB and FBOG.
  5. Linkin Park has released a new video of "Overfow" from Monterrey, Mexico on February 5, 2025. This is one of the latest songs to debut off of From Zero and comes from the third performance of the track. But if you pay attention in the video, a link to https://download.linkinpark.com/ pops up where you can download a new MIDI file titled "UP." It looks like the teaser campaign for the band's new song has begun.
  6. Linkin Park has posted a video of Colin playing "The Emptiness Machine" on drums. With videos like this being quite rare in the LP world, this is a welcome surprise. Notably, the song is a completely different mix from what was released on From Zero. Check out Emily doubling the vocals at the end of the song, but also the absence of sound when the song cuts out as she sings the bridge, and the vocal effects used throughout. What do you think?
  7. How is it a "stunt"? Wouldn't we have literally loved that for every album? Meteora with Lost, Fighting Myself and More the Victim? Minutes to Midnight with No Roads Left, Across the Line, Blackbirds, What We Don't Know, etc?
  8. Love Guilty All the Same and A Line in the Sand.
  9. As everyone knows by now, Linkin Park at the end of their latest 2025 LPTV tour episode teased a new song. Mike and Emily are seen in footage from Mike's home studio in Los Angeles as Emily enters the vocal booth and starts singing over an instrumental fans have not heard before. This episode came exactly six months to the day of Linkin Park's comeback and comes over 100 days after the release of From Zero. Mike has previously spoken about the length of From Zero, saying the band deliberately kept it short so fans would want to listen to it several times in a row. Of course this essentially confirms that more songs were recorded, at least partially, during the album sessions. On Instagram Live in September 2024, Colin said, "There’s also a couple of songs that we haven't released yet that may or may not come out next year, that we're still working on, they are really amazing." He added that these other songs have great lyrics. Within a month of these comments, in October 2024, the band was posting on social media that they were back in the studio recording more new music. So, at this point, more new music is not too surprising but what is surprising is the timing of it and that it could be coming soon. Mike already posted a link on his Instagram Story about the LPTV with a side eye emoji. So what could the song be for? Recent trends in music have had bands release "Deluxe Editions" or "Tour Editions" of albums during major touring years, after the release of the main album. This could be a possibility. With Linkin Park, anything could happen - a single, an EP, or more. Currently the only known thing on the horizon for fans in 2025 is the release of the Brazil 2024 show in theaters at some point, which is still unknown. This will mark the first standalone live release by LP from the new era of the band. Rumors from Brazilian fans at the shows say the band's crew mentioned a possible documentary about Linkin Park as well. As far as "known unknown" songs (songs we know exist because the band has mentioned them, but that we have not heard) from the From Zero era, Emily mentioned singing on two demos titled 'Unshatter' and 'Vertigo', but these are likely much older demos as Emily mentioned they are among some of the first songs she sang... with 'Vertigo' dating back to around 2019. She also mentioned that she was recording a song titled 'Breathing Underwater' with Linkin Park when Mike, Joe, and Dave brought her into a room to tell her they'd like her to sing with them at some upcoming concerts. Not a lot of song titles from the era are currently known, so it is likely this could be something completely unknown to fans. So, what do you think? What would you like to see them do? We will keep you updated on all news and information regarding this new song and its release as it happens.
  10. Remember they posted in the studio in October/November?
  11. Linkin Park has released the newest LPTV, chronicling the band's visit to Asia with shows in Tokyo and Jakarta. At the very end of the clip, there is a clip of Mike and Emily back in LA with Emily recording vocals on a new song, singing, "sometimes it feels like..." Back in the fall, the band was already recording again, well after the submission of the From Zero material (before the album release)... maybe more new music is on the way. Colin Brittain at the time said, "There’s also couple of songs that we haven't released yet that are may or may not come out next year, that we're still working on, they are really amazing." Linkin Park's 2025 From Zero World Tour continues with stops at Saitama Super Arena in Tokyo, Japan, and Stadion Madya Gelora Bung Karno in Jakarta, Indonesia. In this episode, Mike, Emily, and Colin perform "The Emptiness Machine" on DayDay in Tokyo, Phoenix and Mike celebrate their birthdays in Japan, the band plays basketball in Jakarta, and more.
  12. The trailer for the instrumentals that LP posted on social media... they definitely need to be posting more in-studio footage from making the album. Maybe there is something attached to the new release of the Brazil show related to that. Let's see. But it looks like the band was recording a LOT of stuff even way back at Mike's home studio when things were first like legitimately moving with Emily.
  13. They aren't many shows in yet - she will get better over time. Definitely don't see her having this many "let the crowd sing" moments years from now. She is doing really well overall. Much better than we could have ever guessed. Ironically, the part she CRUSHED at the launch show was the ITE bridge - "I put my tr-UST in you"... how she sang that with her voice really struck me in the crowd as such a... moment. I instantly was like "holy shit, she's good." Sadly she has not sung that exact part since the very first show but I hope one day she starts singing the ITE bridge again. I really loved her getting right next to Mike (who was on guitar!) and nailing that. Her voice is so good - really no need to let the crowd sing so much IMO. Not a criticism. Love Emily and she will continue getting better, just as Alex and Colin will too.
  14. I think it's just as simple as that. We were spoiled with Chester for so long - he was truly iconic.
  15. Following the release of the album a cappellas, Linkin Park has announced that the From Zero Instrumentals will be released on Friday, February 28, 2025.
  16. Have always wanted LP to go the route of Metallica and release live songs throughout the tour like they do. This is a new approach this cycle and it's solid - they are professionally mixing stuff and dropping live videos consistently. And important... it's of stuff people want to see. Next step... a new live downloads site with some shows? Doesn't have to be everything but imagine more consistent live releases from the tours (and the vault). This sounds good.
  17. Linkin Park has posted a professionally mixed video of "Good Things Go" live in Guadalajara, Mexico earlier this month. Long-time audio mixer and studio engineer Ethan Mates is responsible for the mix, like all of the other From Zero era material, and Mark Fiore of course is behind the video. This is the second performance of the song, on February 3rd, after being debuted live in Mexico City the show prior. The song immediately became a fan-favorite on the new album and was highly requested by fans for the band to play live to which they happy obliged.
  18. It’s on their Twitter every show.
  19. The India promoters visited the LP team in Jakarta and Digby posted them on his Instagram. https://www.instagram.com/p/DGRsW6sOsTXDZ0KTMV2w-SmEkbNWy1_Tm_wG9w0/?hl=en
  20. Definitely don't need 11 songs from one album taking up time in the show unless it's advertised as something exclusive like From Zero in full. Playing them all over 2 nights is cool, though. With 25 song slots, there are just too many songs (and singles) to get any worthwhile older deep cuts in there by playing too many new songs. Glad that Casualty is a rotating song right now. They should do more From Zero rotation spots.
  21. It's all of this stuff. Since they are doing unique merch for each show, they appear to be posting this on social media for every show now.
  22. The band has quietly updated their web store with 6 new pairs of socks and a new heat-changing From Zero mug.
  23. Wow that's awesome. Hopefully that's also what is shown in theaters with the concert.
  24. 2026 seems like a great year for China, India, Australia, New Zealand, and another Europe run since they are in such high demand there compared to the rest of the world. All of that seems really doable with giving them more downtime than 2025, allowing time for them to relax and write music. Just three outings like that would take 1/4 of the year time-wise, if that long.
  25. Mike hopped on Discord on the 19th of February for the first time in a few months and offered a few interesting bits of information for fans. He stayed in the chat about an hour and a half. Highlights are below, in order: Asked by a fan about Linkin Park's stage being so tall in Brazil, he had a series of messages saying: "I think it was because it was a big crowd, like 60,000 or something", "The stage was enormous. It took forever to walk down any of the catwalks", " Yeah, the production team decided to make the whole thing bigger. It’s going to be fun to do some variety this year. Some big stages in Europe. Some arena stages (we play in the middle, like 2024) in the US later this year", All the stage layouts are good, to me", "We don’t usually make the stages super high off the ground, but in some countries that’s what they recommend (or it’s what they have to do)", and "Might be “standard” materials, might be available stage materials, might be that it needs to be tall because of what goes under it, might be safety. I’m not really sure." In response to a meme about incorrect lyrics for 'Good Things Go' on Twitter, Mike said: Someone said that every performance Chester did live was perfect, to which Mike said, "lol yeah totally" and elaborated: and The chat shifted to comments on Linkin Park performing live, and someone asked jokingly if the band would perform upside down if they played in Australia. Along with a few other comments on Australia, Mike chimed in: He got on the topic of song requests in the chat, with people asking for their favorite song: He added he isn't a hater of Taylor Swift and he saw the Eras tour which was great, he ran into Munky from Korn the other day at Starbucks and says he doesn't know him well but that he's a good dude, and says he likes Poppy: "I like Poppy. I’ve known about her since way back when she did the weird youtube stuff. that was great" About other One More Light songs in the show besides 'Friendly Fire': He said the show setlist is a mix of fan favorites + band favorites. He joked about cutting Crawling and adding Blackout: He concluded by saying Emily likes both Blackout and Lies Greed Misery: Source: Discord [From:MikeShinoda]
