  1. Wow this audio smokes and the camera angles are excellent. Nice work. Hope they keep this up for all of the touring cycle, love seeing this type of content!
  2. $150 before fees. Yes. New LPU had access to them.
  3. The promoter probably paid huge money to get them there for one show as a region exclusive or something. Or maybe there are more album show events in LA that week for the release. Let's see. They already printed up a ton of merch etc with just these dates on it.
  4. As the band stepped on stage in Los Angeles this week, there was a new face to the crowd - Colin Brittain. In interviews this week, Mike Shinoda spoke about Rob Bourdon's absences and his decision to leave the band to Billboard: "Rob had said to us at a point, I guess it was a few years ago now, that he wanted to put some distance between himself and the band. And we understood that — it was already apparent. He was starting to just show up less, be in less contact, and I know the fans noticed it too. The Hybrid Theory rerelease and Papercuts release, he didn’t show up for anything. So for me, as a friend, that was sad, but at the same time, I want him to do whatever makes him happy, and obviously everybody wishes him the best. I had done sessions with Colin — I met him around 2021, when I got an invite to a session with a couple of different writers, and Colin was one of the guys in the room, and I immediately clicked with him. He’s playing drums in the live show, and drums are his first instrument, but he plays guitar and bass and keyboard, and he produces and mixes. We have a similar way of looking at music, of starting from scratch, and I really enjoyed working with him and bouncing ideas back-and-forth. I don’t know if any of these songs are going to be released, but we had done something with grandson, Bea Miller, Sueco — just getting in the room together to make stuff. And then when Linkin Park started making stuff, for whatever we were going to do, it was just like, “Oh, Colin. We’re making stuff. You should come over.”" Talking to Zane Lowe, he said: "We had a conversation a little while ago, a couple years ago at this point, where he said he wanted to step away. We didn't talk about that in public because we didn't know how that would work out. The fans noticed it, we released a bunch of things and he wasn't apart of any of the interviews or marketing. And that's why. We’ll always love the guy. We'll always respect the wonderful things we’ve built together. With his absence being a real thing, I was already working with Colin." While Rob is not a member of the band moving forward, we are thankful for the music and lasting memories he created with Linkin Park.
  5. Mike has said over the years he could perform longer live but other band members in the band did not want to do longer sets.
  6. In the midst of a whirlwind week of the band's return, new music, tour announcements, and more, Linkin Park has sold out both United States comeback shows at the Los Angeles Kia Forum on September 11 and Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York on September 16. The shows will feature the band performing in a very rare 360 degree circular setting, allowing for a unique production but also a larger amount of tickets to be sold to fans at these venues. In an era where presales and on-sales are a mess for many bands across the planet, Linkin Park managed to run two very successful Linkin Park Underground presales for their diehard fan club. By doing two LPU presales on September 6, one for Legacy members and one for new members, on the same day just hours apart, the band managed to get up to 90%+ (Brooklyn) of tickets at at venues in the hands of their fan club members. A unique move of these presales was opening the entire venue to the LPU versus allocating a small amount of tickets for the fan club, allowing them to make up a larger continent in the crowd. Additionally, fans were excited to see an "LPU Reserved" section directly in front of the band in the crowd with tickets that would only be sold to LPU members. After the on-sales began on September 7, the Barclays Center show sold out in a matter of a few minutes while the Los Angeles Kia Forum show sold out in less than an hour. Mike Shinoda recently commented in the Zane Lowe interview that Linkin Park will be performing a 2 hour headline setlist and the band has been working on the production for the show for quite a long time. Tickets for other shows on the From Zero World Tour go on sale in the coming days.
  7. That event was fucking amazing. Will write a great review on it. So much attention to detail and the LPU CRUSHED this. Amazing.
  8. Nicely done, @RogueSoul
  9. Confirmed? Brad, Joe, and Dave all said LP has been writing for the past X amount of years - 5? 4? lol
  10. The Emily following on Instagram is pretty suspicious indeed. Real, a decoy, or something else (collaborator on something)?
  11. What a cool thing to do for the LPU. They always treat the fan club very well with events.
  12. Linkin Park literally does this for a living. Scavenger hunts, timers, trolling, puzzles, all that stuff. This is who they are. Sit back and enjoy the ride and don't take things so seriously. We'll get something when it's time. Of course it's like "WTF" in the moment but we don't know the endgame yet - it'll all make sense.
  13. No one even knows what the endgame on this is. One thing is for sure - they are hyping up something big by doing all of this. They knew how many people would be tuned in on this. Let's see how it goes.
  14. Great post by Bobby.
  15. We have waited a very long time for today.
  16. Is it finally time?
  17. I don't think it's possible to be let down by the announcement. Don't expect a tour, they will absolutely explode social media with show announcements the rest of the year - no reason we need all of that tomorrow. They may announce a new song coming though. Let's see. Whatever they do will be super exciting.
  18. It's just speculation. Someone on Twitter made up that it "leaked." It's just because of her Instagram followers having a few LP members. But that could be from any time since Instagram was created to now.
  19. The Deryck thing seems like smoke and mirrors. Mike himself said he couldn’t see anyone from the Bowl show joining the band. He said none of them stacked up to Chester. That isn’t going to be a move they make as a band. Still think the band is about to surprise us all with someone no one guessed on Wednesday.
  20. My take: It would be odd if only one member does not join, right? If it were Mike/Dave/Brad like the Billboard article suggested, I could see that. But Mike, Dave, Brad, and Joe surely could mean Rob, right? And the reason this all took so long was to get them all on the same page and on board after writing music for so many years?
  21. Topic back open. Do not freaking blow up on people about this - this thread is just nuts. No one even knows what the band is doing, how can you get so offended about it without knowing what is happening?
  22. It's on linkinpark.com. The band is billed as Linkin Park. They are releasing music under the name Linkin Park. The end.
  23. Exciting week! Stop arguing, FFS, this is a HUGE moment for everyone!
  24. Some show rumors for this fall.
  25. It's us. Warner Bros. Or whatever they are called now. Warner Music.
