It's pretty difficult to do 360 in a stadium - U2 did it with an endstage in a stadium (still 360), Metallica is doing full 360 and Ed Sheeran is doing full 360. You also have to sell way more tickets for that and specifically in the USA that's going to be a problem for LP. Mike said in the Zane Lowe interview they have 3 stages - launch stage (Warner show), 360 arena stage, and the stadium stage. This production should be pretty cool. What would be nice is if the big boxes remain on stage above the band for these upcoming stadiums (and Bogota arena show). In 2025 surely the 360 stage returns in some capacity. No way they did all that work to only use it 5 times, right? They aren't big enough in the USA to play stadiums in every city so they can use the arena stage in 360 to compliment that in certain smaller markets across the country when they tour. Europe, Asia, South America may be stadiums and festivals the entire time because LP is MASSIVE in those markets. Australia - not sure what demand there would look like.

Following Emily Armstrong's recent comments that the band would rehearse this month to add new songs to the setlist for the November shows, Mike Shinoda echoed these comments on Discord on October 3. Emily said in an interview in Korea, that "Two Faced" is really fun live, as well as "Casualty" and "Overflow." She said, "Those three, I think, were the ones we've kinda been talking about… like, really wanting to explore live. Ihink we're gonna do some rehearsals when we get home and, you know, put it into our live set.” Mike said on Discord, "Right now, it's quite a bit of effort to put a new song into the set. Not just the band working it out, but the production (lasers, lights, content). We're working on adding a new song or two." Let's see what they end up playing in Paris, Texas, and South America! Any guesses?

No matter what the band's feelings on this are, the press is picking up on it. My point is that this is something people will notice because it's their first tour back. https://www.kerrang.com/live-review-linkin-park-london-o2-arena-emily-armstrong-mike-shinoda "Despite LP not acknowledging their departed singer at any point – which is an interesting decision for their fifth show back, but perhaps understandable considering the online discourse – he has been in the minds and hearts of everybody here"

Those are all songs, including Somewhere I Belong, that disappeared from the band's live touring sets for extended periods of time. Entire album cycles - multiple for some of them. Anytime we can get songs like that in the show, including a full Lost in the Echo, is great. The live debuts added on top of that is just the icing on the cake. They nailed it with these sets to start out. They could have easily taken the easy/safe way out with Papercuts/greatest hits only + Emptiness Machine and called it a day.

We will get way more album interviews and surely some go into that. Zane Lowe's interview looks like it ends abruptly, aka a part 2 for the album may be coming.
-
Unlikely they play the album in full as others have said but likely they add 2-3 new songs right away as Emily said they are hitting rehearsals shortly for new songs in the set. So, that's already 4-5 From Zero songs for November. Let's see what happens. Unfortunately they just have too many good songs and rotating even Keys, APFMH, and Echo is almost a shame because all 3 songs rock. But, more rotations would be welcome for sure. Play as many songs as possible.

They said Brad had a hand in the shows. But as we know before, some members of the band (Rob and Brad are the speculative members) didn't want to play a lot of deep cuts. Well, there are quite a few in the show right now, so the "Brad/Rob factor" (if you call it that) is not that strong. For example now they are playing Keys, My December, Lost in the Echo in full, Points, Lying From You, APFMH, etc. Even in 2017 much of that wasn't played. They rehearsed a TON of songs so we are about to see the sets get pretty wild in 2025.
-
There are backing tracks all over the show - it is what it is. Lying From You, Emptiness Machine, Lost in the Echo, Heavy Is the Crown, etc. Just how it is. LP has used playback in certain scenarios all the way back since 2010. The show sounds great, it isn't a big deal because they are sometimes adding extra vocals on top of some of the sampled layers too by band members. You can't tell at all at the show, only in the videos.

Putting it like that, it's definitely the best since 2010. The ATS ones are great. They were very jarring at the time due to Catalyst being SO different (love the song now), so it took a while to grow. The Wretches reception by people was massively positive. But LT, THP, and OML... phew, some bad songs mixed in there (LGM, UIG, etc).
-
The most noteworthy thing here is the setlist is about to change again for the November shows. New songs added in... wonder what all will be rotated. 2025 needs like 3 distinctly different setlists (different openers, closers, songs, etc).

A back-to-back album cycle would be really fucking cool like you mention. Coldplay is doing Music of the Spheres, the world tour (years long) and in the middle of the tour releasing Moon Music this Friday. Today in the Zane Lowe interview they said they always intended for it to be a "part 2" album. Two albums from the same creative sessions is a nice idea and one LP hasn't ever done before. They SHOULD have had an EP in 2008 from the MTM sessions, what an absolute shame No Roads Left, Across the Line, Blackbirds, What We Don't Know, Chance of Rain, Pretend to Be didn't get their time to shine.

Definitely prefer the rasp on her voice especially in the older LP songs. But totally understanding that performing 2 hour shows, trotting the globe doing so, etc, is not an easy task on someone.
-
Would not be shocked to see this pop up for sale on the LP store or LPU store soon. They surely produced way more than they had for 7 shows.
-
This song is striking a cord with people outside of the LP fanbase. There is an amateur fan video from London with 1.5 million views on it. That is fucking wild even by LP standards. It's also performing well on the radio, like REALLY well already.

It just rubs me the wrong way to run press headlines like "CHESTER SUFFERED HOUR BY HOUR WITH ADDICTION." You can't be more sensitive than that? Even 7 years on, that's going to rub a lot of LP fans the wrong way by how you are reporting that. And I know the comment came from Ryan Shuck, but Ryan is one of the classiest people of ANYONE around Chester. Clickbait headlines around this are... meh. The book likely has some good info for the wiki so we will have to read it. There are interviews with a ton of people close to the band so something or another will be revealed that's interesting enough to archive.

In times like these, it is agreed upon in the deal beforehand. "If X percent of tickets sell by X date, a second show will be added." Well, it sold out immediately so a second night was added. Sometimes it is done later on. Sydney 2010 was added later and the band had to come back. This happens when there is demand much higher than they assume when booking the shows (which happens very far in advance much of the time). Brazil was likely booked in April or March, or earlier. OML did well enough to justify an entire UK run after the main Europe tour ended, so, it did good. Heavy also did well. It doesn't matter if you liked it or not, the facts say that OML was a #1 album and performed well commercially. A comeback after 7 years for one of the world's largest bands of our lifetime is pretty significant. But adding to that, they stayed relevant, via some work of their own (Lost, etc doing so great) and some luck (TikTok trends, etc). It is not too surprising they are doing so well right now - Chester has become somewhat of a "Cobain" of this generation. Don't take that the wrong way, the intentions of that comment are good - he is held in that type of regard by many many people.
-
Rob has known Mike since like 1995. This is literally almost 30 years of life - he's been in/around LP longer than he's not been, if that makes sense. So, it is odd to not hear from him on this in one sense, but Rob also is a super private person. I hope the band opens up about him in more interviews.

Following an incredible sell-out in just 20 minutes in the 48,302+ capacity Allianz Parque stadium, Linkin Park has added a second night in São Paulo, Brazil on November 16, 2024. The announcement comes after protests at the official sales point for the shows this morning from fans who were unable to get tickets to the concert. Linkin Park currently has 5 shows on the table for the rest of the year: November 3 - Paris, France November 8 - Arlington, Texas November 11 - Bogota, Colombia November 15 - São Paulo, Brazil November 16 - São Paulo, Brazil

Linkin Park sat down with media across Asia the day before the concert in Korea recently. Billboard Philippines has highlights of it in their article. A few highlights: When asked by Billboard Philippines which of the new songs from From Zero the band is most excited to perform live, co-lead vocalist Emily Armstrong immediately answers with “Two Faced” – the From Zero‘s 8th track, noting how “it’s really fun live.” Adding to this, she also mentions “Casualty” and “Overflow” – the album’s 6th and 7th tracks respectively. “Those three, I think, were the ones we’ve kinda been talking about… like, really wanting to explore live,” expounds Armstrong. “I think we’re gonna do some rehearsals when we get home and, you know, put it into our live set.” Joe: “All jokes aside, we’re really excited to play the record. The album’s coming out [and] we can’t really reveal the whole thing but I personally want to play the whole record when we start touring [the album].”

Please post anything from the tour - full show video, audio, anything you think we need to add as Sources from the show to the show pages. There are a ton we need to add from all of the shows and we'll be glad to do so, but I don't think we can find them all ourselves. Anything you see, please feel free to leave a comment and we'll work on it!

He doesn't reply to fans and is not allowed to release any footage he's filmed over the years, so it's unlikely you will be able to get stuff like this.

BBC Radio One has released a new interview with Mike Shinoda on September 26, 2024. Listen here: https://www.bbc.co.uk/sounds/play/m0022xr1 Mike discusses the creation of the album and the band's lineup changes. About Brad Delson, he said that touring from city-to-city and being on stage is pretty exhausting for Brad at this point in his career so he selected Alex to play guitar on the tour. After approval from the rest of the band, Alex joined the live lineup.
-
Colin went live on Instagram before the concert in Korea to discuss Linkin Park, the new album, his favorite bands, plans for the band, and more.
-
Not one clue what happened with Rob, but the timeline that he had met Emily or worked with her seems pretty likely. He was around for years after they first started working with her. But Colin was around too, but he's also a multi-instrumentalist and producer which is not strange to have sessions with.

Really crazy it's been since 2011 in Seoul - that ATS show really feels like yesterday, weirdly enough.
