  1. Linkin Park will be performing twice this week ahead of the upcoming show in Paris, France on Sunday. First, the band has a performance at the NRJ Music Awards in Cannes, France on November 1. Due to the wording of this announcement, we are unsure if the band will actually be performing IN Cannes or if this is a pre-recorded performance done elsewhere (maybe the O2?) and just broadcasted for NRJ. Linkin Park has done something similar for the MTV Asia Awards in 2002 with One Step Closer from Projekt Revolution 2002 - one of the rowdiest live videos of Linkin Park out there. It is possible they are there, but we are leaning towards a pre-recorded performance as the wording is exactly the same as the Billie Eilish announcement and she will be performing in Atlanta that day. For this performance, the band could go with new song "Over Each Other", or one of the other two tracks released previously. Next, the band will perform on November 2 at the Worlds 2024 Opening Ceremony at London's O2, most certainly performing "Heavy Is the Crown." Stay tuned for these two upcoming performances ahead of the big stadium show in Paris!
  2. LPA has not let anyone down with yet another great track-by-track of a new album, this time by Joe in London! Joe was one of the lucky LPU members attending the band's listening party event in London on October 29. Joe goes into detail about all of the unheard tracks from the album from start-to-finish; about "Overflow" he says: "A long preemptive synth sound with a calming melodically electronic intro opens Overflow, with phasing echoing voices in the distance before glitchy imperfections set up another very unique and different vocal delivery from Mike. I noted awesome Deftones-like droning vocals from Mike before Emily comes in with some of her highest notes we’ve heard in a song yet. It’s a very unique Linkin Park song and my personal favourite on the album after two listens. Dare I say A Thousand Suns-esque? That’s my favourite LP album but even with that comparison it’s hard to really equate the two, as Overflow is very much its own thing and one of the more creatively interesting tracks. I can’t really put it on any other album but From Zero. It has very good vocals and a crunching instrumental that is slow but hard. There’s a face melter guitar riff for the bridge which stands out and takes the song into even more creative territory. “I keep on filling it up, TO OVERFLOW” Emily sings loudly as the song crescendos with guitar and possible scratching." Read the full rundown here. Great job LPA!
  3. Confirmed to be playing in London Saturday!
  4. The albums between ATS and OML were too rushed, IMO. Living Things and Hunting Party seem pretty rushed and not very cohesive listens compared to every other album in the discography. While I don't like the genre of OML, it's a better start-to-finish listen than the previous two. They took ages to make that album, but a lot of that was Chester going to rehab which severely delayed the timeline. The label also fully trusted LP at that time and allowed them to not have an album deadline - there was no set time they had to turn OML in unlike every other previous LP album in history. This is likely just for a few extra 2025 tracks. New album 2026-2027?
  5. Just heard they are looking to move the USA stadium tour to arenas next summer. Probably due to the Texas ticket sales. LP is not big enough for stadiums right now unless they bring someone else HUGE.
  6. But who says the songs they cut from From Zero are the ones they are working on right now? What if they finished 15 songs hypothetically, cut 5, and now are taking a batch of *other* songs? We don't know enough about what exactly they are doing to say for sure these are songs they considered for the album.
  7. In case you missed it last week, Mike Shinoda joined Jack Saunders on BBC Radio 1 to discuss the new Linkin Park song "Over Each Other." Mike said: "The original demo was all me, and then as we were writing, in the process we played with different iterations/ways of presenting it. Some of the tracks, it was just like, I wrote the demo and then it kind of like stayed very similar to that. Other ones were more of a collaborative process and I think this one fell into that category more. It had its different twists and turns with friends of ours and at the end of the day, when we did this version with Emily singing it all the way down, it like the song - it felt the most like what it was supposed to be." About the "get your screamy pants on" clip at the end of the song, Mike said, "This song leads into another song on the record called "Casualty" and... I'll leave it there." Discussing meeting Emily, he said the band was not ready to do Linkin Park in 2019 but he kept writing with Emily over time slowly, and eventually Linkin Park made sense. Mike adds that he forgot how much fun it is to play shows with Linkin Park, coming off of the first leg of the From Zero World Tour. Listen to the interview on BBC Radio 1. Mike joins around 34 minutes.
  8. Yep. ATS. Catalyst and Wretches were great picks at the time and still great picks in 2024 looking back at ATS. MTM was legendary with WID, NMS, and GU at the live shows before the album dropped. But for pre-release songs, ATS takes the cake until this album. Catalyst at the time was a bit polarizing (amazing song) but aged extremely well like the rest of the album did. Emptiness Machine was MASSIVE and is universally loved. They did extremely well with the new album in this sense by getting these 3 specific songs out.
  9. Following Colin's recent comments in September that Linkin Park has more new songs being produced right now that did not make 'From Zero', it appears the band has been working on them as recently as this week. In September, Colin said, "There’s also couple of songs that we haven't released yet that are may or may not come out next year, that we're still working on, they are really amazing." Throughout the promotion of 'From Zero' so far, the band has said that they deliberately whittled the album down to ten full songs even though more were written and recorded, because they wanted it to be concise and to-the-point. Following a few days of the band posting being in Mike's home studio, Mike's Instagram story makes it look like the band is continuing work on more new songs as he has posted Emily in the vocal booth shortly before the band flew to Europe for their upcoming shows. Let's see what 2025 has to offer!
  10. Wow that's a good find. We only looked at two merch booths and didn't see it. Glad people are able to get them now. The Forum show was incredible. Insane energy.
  11. They had them at all of the concerts on the tour starting with the Warner LA show but they were very limited. There have been German exclusive things before, so for whatever reason they just put the rest up there. I don't think there's much more to it. They made enough originally to keep quantities low for each show they were at but obviously had some left. I didn't get one at the first LA show and couldn't get my hands on one until the Brooklyn show where they had a few left during the LPU early entry inside.
  12. Sold out everywhere?
  13. This just happened a few days ago, it's brand new haha. You didn't "miss" it, it just popped up like Friday or something.
  14. Slowly liking OEO more than HITC.
  15. Where else can you get the OBI on it besides the Assai store?

  17. Is it possible LP plays in Paris on the 29th and then also London on the 2nd?

  19. The leak does the mix and song no justice. A good reminder to not judge things on a leak. Shocked how different it sounds sonically with the official release.
  20. Linkin Park has announced, with the release of "Over Each Other", the release of the zoetrope vinyl for the album via the LP store. There are two slipmats also available, the "Instrumental" and the "Planetary" slipmats.
  21. The music video is fucking awesome. Joe is really good and is a massive talent for the band to have. Just a good reminder of it. The guitars seem quite a bit louder on the music video version, in a good way. Love the video.
  22. Sonic Temple has confirmed Linkin Park will be headlining the 2025 edition of the festival on Saturday, May 10, 2025. They will join Metallica and Korn as headliners. For tickets and more, visit the Sonic Temple website. Linkin Park is also expected at Welcome to Rockville in Florida, which will be announcing this fall as well.
  23. The song itself sounds like a modern day Miley Cyrus pop song. That's not intended to be a knock on LP or Miley, but the pop production and vocal delivery has a very noticeable Miley style to it. It sounds like it fits on One More Light if you turned the OML guitars up a tad. Think it will take the brain a while to comprehend a "Linkin Park song" without Chester OR Mike can be the band - not something we are used to and it might take people a while on that. They needed to rip the bandaid off at some point, though. It doesn't have much going for it but it isn't a bad song. Short, poppy, etc. Don't really like the sound of the drums but we'll have to get used to that with a new drummer. All in all, it's no worse than Battle Symphony or Lies Greed Misery, probably their two worst pre-release songs they've ever done. The song is fine but doesn't have much going for it like Emptiness Machine which is an absolute fucking monster track. Hopefully the rest of the album is more of the "rock throwdown jam" vibe and not pop.
  24. Don't really have an issue with variants or the amount of physical copies - it's how you sell albums these days. The only disappointing thing is that by the time we got out of the Warner show on September 5 and could figure out what actually was going on (no service in that place), the best merch items for the album were already sold out - the blue & orchid splatter, and the CD box set. It would be nice if they could restock both of those.
  25. Somewhat surprised the global scavenger hunt didn't end up with the release of the song.
