In times like these, it is agreed upon in the deal beforehand. "If X percent of tickets sell by X date, a second show will be added." Well, it sold out immediately so a second night was added. Sometimes it is done later on. Sydney 2010 was added later and the band had to come back. This happens when there is demand much higher than they assume when booking the shows (which happens very far in advance much of the time). Brazil was likely booked in April or March, or earlier. OML did well enough to justify an entire UK run after the main Europe tour ended, so, it did good. Heavy also did well. It doesn't matter if you liked it or not, the facts say that OML was a #1 album and performed well commercially. A comeback after 7 years for one of the world's largest bands of our lifetime is pretty significant. But adding to that, they stayed relevant, via some work of their own (Lost, etc doing so great) and some luck (TikTok trends, etc). It is not too surprising they are doing so well right now - Chester has become somewhat of a "Cobain" of this generation. Don't take that the wrong way, the intentions of that comment are good - he is held in that type of regard by many many people.

Rob has known Mike since like 1995. This is literally almost 30 years of life - he's been in/around LP longer than he's not been, if that makes sense. So, it is odd to not hear from him on this in one sense, but Rob also is a super private person. I hope the band opens up about him in more interviews.

Following an incredible sell-out in just 20 minutes in the 48,302+ capacity Allianz Parque stadium, Linkin Park has added a second night in São Paulo, Brazil on November 16, 2024. The announcement comes after protests at the official sales point for the shows this morning from fans who were unable to get tickets to the concert. Linkin Park currently has 5 shows on the table for the rest of the year: November 3 - Paris, France November 8 - Arlington, Texas November 11 - Bogota, Colombia November 15 - São Paulo, Brazil November 16 - São Paulo, Brazil

Linkin Park sat down with media across Asia the day before the concert in Korea recently. Billboard Philippines has highlights of it in their article. A few highlights: When asked by Billboard Philippines which of the new songs from From Zero the band is most excited to perform live, co-lead vocalist Emily Armstrong immediately answers with “Two Faced” – the From Zero‘s 8th track, noting how “it’s really fun live.” Adding to this, she also mentions “Casualty” and “Overflow” – the album’s 6th and 7th tracks respectively. “Those three, I think, were the ones we’ve kinda been talking about… like, really wanting to explore live,” expounds Armstrong. “I think we’re gonna do some rehearsals when we get home and, you know, put it into our live set.” Joe: “All jokes aside, we’re really excited to play the record. The album’s coming out [and] we can’t really reveal the whole thing but I personally want to play the whole record when we start touring [the album].”

Please post anything from the tour - full show video, audio, anything you think we need to add as Sources from the show to the show pages. There are a ton we need to add from all of the shows and we'll be glad to do so, but I don't think we can find them all ourselves. Anything you see, please feel free to leave a comment and we'll work on it!

He doesn't reply to fans and is not allowed to release any footage he's filmed over the years, so it's unlikely you will be able to get stuff like this.

BBC Radio One has released a new interview with Mike Shinoda on September 26, 2024. Listen here: https://www.bbc.co.uk/sounds/play/m0022xr1 Mike discusses the creation of the album and the band's lineup changes. About Brad Delson, he said that touring from city-to-city and being on stage is pretty exhausting for Brad at this point in his career so he selected Alex to play guitar on the tour. After approval from the rest of the band, Alex joined the live lineup.

Colin went live on Instagram before the concert in Korea to discuss Linkin Park, the new album, his favorite bands, plans for the band, and more.

Not one clue what happened with Rob, but the timeline that he had met Emily or worked with her seems pretty likely. He was around for years after they first started working with her. But Colin was around too, but he's also a multi-instrumentalist and producer which is not strange to have sessions with.

Really crazy it's been since 2011 in Seoul - that ATS show really feels like yesterday, weirdly enough.
-
The solution is to just get close in the pit. Dallas presale was a breeze. See you there.
-
Of course. He was at both Los Angeles shows. Brad is involved in the production of the show so he was at rehearsals at Warner and the Forum too.

Since it's with a third party company, it will probably take some time (week or two, etc) to show up on Ticketmaster. It isn't an instant transfer to your account, surely, since it's a travel package.
-
Just seems so unlikely since they didn't do it with Page when he played with them in 2015 and this is a decade later lol
-
Yep. So, Castle, Iridescent, and Burn It Down in the show intros.
-
Rumors are for the Chile festival in February, right? Do both if you can. Codes will show in the passport. But they are not out yet. First USA stadium show headlining for the band. Big.

After a month of speculation and teasers, only weeks after they returned to the world in a shocking manner, and a world premiere during the encore at their show in Hamburg, Linkin Park have released the next single to their eighth album From Zero - 'Heavy Is The Crown.' It is officially the anthem for the League Of Legends Worlds 2024 Championships, taking place throughout Europe and concluding on November 2 at the O2 Arena in London, England - where Linkin Park performs tonight! The music video features animated versions of the band performing the song in different settings from the game and Arcane TV series. The song is set to be featured in both medias. Over 130,000 people were waiting for the debut of the song, one of the highest numbers for a Linkin Park video premiere on YouTube ever. Linkin Park also just announced they will be hosting a YouTube Premiere chat with Emily Armstrong, Mike Shinoda, and Joe Hahn at 4:00pm PT on the music video chat. 'Heavy Is The Crown' is also available on all streaming platforms now. Stay caught up with us on social media (Twitter/X, Instagram, and Facebook) for the latest when Linkin Park makes their next announcement! Song's credits:

If they play A Place for My Head in London the venue might fall in on itself lol
-
New York barely had any too. They seem to be intentionally not giving many to the shows for some reason. They should just put it online and let people preorder it.
-
Full show video.

Liking this strategy of 2024 being shows they announce close to the show date, as opposed to a normal year which 2025 is looking to be like. Cool to change it up.
-
Wonder how Keys shows up in the future shows, then, since there’s no way they spent so much time rehearsing it that it would only get played once. Maybe they have distinct setlists in 2025 that rotate, like the old days.

Following rumors from the past week about a new song coming soon, and comments from New York that the band could only play 1 new song for fans, Linkin Park surprised everyone in Hamburg by debuting "Heavy Is The Crown" in the encore of the show! The song is rumored to be the League of Legends Worlds 2024 Anthem, which we will find out more about this week. It's possible release date is September 24. An interesting note - Colin Brittain, Linkin Park's drummer, previously worked with League of Legends in 2017 for the Worlds Anthem "Legends Never Die." Emily said that the song will be released soon! In the setlist, "Heavy Is The Crown" replaced "Keys To The Kingdom" from The Hunting Party. Let's see when the song comes out! ------------------------------------- UPDATE: September 22, 2024 League Of Legends and Linkin Park have both shared a preview of the song and its music video, featuring the band performing in an animated style. It has been formally announced as the official anthem of Worlds 2024. The video and song will premiere at 11am PST on September 24, 2024.
