Sadly the tendency of releasing a lot of songs before the album drops is extremely common these days (last decade). Just a few examples from artists I follow: THP: we had GATS, UIG, Wastelands, FM and Rebellion before the album. OML: Heavy, BS, Good Goodbye, Invisible officially released before the album + acoustic live performances of TTM and OML and OG TTM live at some shows. Post Traumatic: the 3 songs from the EP + Ghosts, CAL, About You and maybe Lift Off IIRC. TSTM latest album had 11 songs and they put out 5 songs before the release. BMTH latest album had a lot of songs released moths or even years before they dropped it

Yeah I don'see them locking up in the studio until 2027 this time around, like, with FZ they had the uncertainty of how LP 2.0 without Chester would have been received, but it appears that FZ will be succesful considering TEM and HITC reception, and I giuess they have a tonshit of stuff they could work on. Colin himself said they are most likely releasing "demos/unreleased songs from FZ sessions in 2025, so...

I lobve NCSM, but I agree it would be weird to have that kind of stuff (NCSM, FF, BS) on FZ and I am really curious to hear the song.

With Jon Green being involved I bet this is going to be a ballad or at least a less heavy song, maybe even an Emily only track to showcase her more emotional and melodic side. Rally curious, let's see.

Yeah like, they are not gonna be full songs but 15 out of 200 is a very small numer, so like, I wouldn't expect another full album next year, maybe an EP, I'd love that.

Totally agree on this. LP without Chester and with a new singer was a NO to me before all of this, but I am loving Emily and the new stuff so far, TEM and HITC are among the strongest 1-2 combo of singles the band had in a while (stronger than OML, THP and overall LT, considering that the second pre- album song released was LGM, which is worse then HITC)

I would take it with a grain of salt because I remember Brad say thery had 200 demos for OML, and we onlty had WAYW leak and FF, so.... But I strongly hope we get a second album of the new Linkin Park soon, like, if they started doing stuff with Emily in 2019 I bet they have more finished songs than the 9 of From Zero. Fingers crossed

Yeah like, LGM as the second “single” (promotional single) off LT was a bad idea and although catchy and very LP-ish UIG was not a strong choice. With OML, we had Heavy that was probably the worst received single of their career by fans and not a super strong song overall (although I like it) and BS, which I really like but not the best song on the album (would have gone with TTM).

A nu metal throwback song without Chester on vocals doing that well in 2024 is simply amazing. I bet that it’s exceeding the band’s best expectations

TEM still being n.53 on billboard hot 100 in its third week is pretty fucking amazing.

The more I listen to it the more I like it, but i like TEM more, it’s LP-ish but more interesting both structure and melody wise. HITC is like a Meteora callback, cool but as someone said it is a throwback to another era with Lille to no new stuff added, could be contemporary to Fighting Myself

The thing i love the most is that the 2 new songs are SO diverse from each other, it’s like comparing Faint (HITC) to, say, COG or WID.

I think they wanted to come back showing LP is back in form and win over even the casuals. Casuals wouldn’t be attracted by a 5 minutes experimental mellow song.
