An already big band comes back after 7 years hiatus picking up the pieces after the worst case scenario ever. So curiosity + nostalgia is a big winning mix

The fact that the doc will not be focused primarily on Chester is totally understandable since it’s a new chapter and would be weird if it was mostly about him, BUT I honestly hope there’s gonna be an acknowledgement of his legacy

Speaking of this, I hope that in Unshatter we'll see more than a mere reference to Chester. It's totally fine that the doc is NOT about Chester obviously, but would be nice to get more than a nod to him IMO

yeah, SS06 would be gold and Chester NRL oh my goood. I love Mike on the song but 2006/2007 Chester singing that type of "heavy" LOATR-ish ballad oh my goood

Imagine telling someone in2024 that by mid 2026 we would have gotten a new album, world tour and a movie accompanied by a live show

And I cannot even imagine how many Mike - only / MIke with other vocalists / Mike + Emily demos are lying in their "graveyard" as Chester called it in the MTM making of.... like, 3/4 years of work

LP9 to me is where they will show if they have the energy and the "meaning" to go on. Like, FZ served to put them back on the map with very familiar sounding songs that recalled specific other songs and sounds by the band, almost every song directly reminded of a sound/a specific song from the past (TEM - ALITS + COG, CTB - BIO, HITC - FAINT + GU, CASUALTY- KTTK/WAR, Overflow - ATS atmosphere + PT sounds, IGYEIH - Xero/HT demos, Two Faced - Figure 09+ OSC, OEO - BS/IBG, GTG - Where'd you go, ...) and now we'll see if they are moving forwad with new sounds or will stick into safe ground. Even the latter would be totally understandable since it's only the 2nd album of the new course and even Meteora was a sort of HT2.0 wityh some diversity. Personally, I expect an hybrid of things, like, not FZ 2.0 but not an ATS album in concept, like, very weird and left field

Glad you loved it so much. I didn't see them live but I am happy they seem confident and happy about everything going on

Totally crazy that we got an album with billions of streams and a 100 dates world tour, and 2 years ago this time we were talking about the possibility of a comeback MAYBE in some form in a remote future. Crazy crazy crazy. 24 months ago we didn't know if LP was still a thing and now they are bigger than THP - OML era

Totally, I mean it came out in late 2023 when LP 2.0 was already a thing and FZ was taking shape, so I am convinced AO was a way to deceive the fans attention from rumors/leaked news and stuff, like “Mike is doing his own thing now, he’s busy”

They had issues with Tom Morello/his label and that led to Drawbar being what it is and nothing more, because come on you have Tom Freakin Morello to jam with and all you come up with is a really good instrumental track that you could have easily done without him.

The Rob situation is pretty clear IMO: he has always been very private and shy, after Chester’s death he didn’t want to be part of the band anymore and he will not stand in front of a camera explaining why. To each their own way to react to things

Yeah, releasing something like Lost in example, NRL with Chester on vocals) in a short amount of time would kinda cast a shadow on LP2

I strongly hope the band doesn't close the Chester's "door" forever since there's arguably A LOT of stuff in the vaults still unknown (concerts, a TON of demos....). Like, I get that they want to give Emily and LP 2.0 the space to grow and build, but I hope i the future the 2 phases and worlds will co exist .
