LP shows are so generic you really only need a couple DSP's from each tour. Or when they do something special, like a rare song over "POA" or if it's a show you went to. My only complaint is that you can't purchase any show you want, but I assume that will change in the future. LP are in the game to make $$$ and that'll simplify the process.

I like Hahninator's reasons, and would just add "No US tour" to the list. It seems like they just threw 20 darts at a world map and went to those places in random order. I want a damn club tour, FM style. It's almost as if they want DBS to fail quickly so LP can resume "as is." That's what happened with Scott Weiland & STP. He put out a double album a year ago, did a tiny tour, and then cancelled STP dates so they could get the big "we're going back to the studio! new album soon!" press release.

QWERTY pro-shot & "She Couldn't" pretty much lock in LPlive as the best Linkin Park site ever. Thanks for everything you guys do. Sometimes I shake my head at how enthusiastic everyone is for anything/everything LP, but you guys are awesome. Anxious to hear "Morning After", too, but doubt I'll like it. I hate the "acoustic" version of "Let Down", and assume it'll be in the same style. Why can't they just do a straight-up acoustic song with one guitar and a microphone? Damnitt. It's fun to care enough to be picky

311 & Muse back to back sounds pretty awesome to me. Cool that Chaz and Hot Topic By Sunrise will get to rock some eyeliner again on night one though. KROQ is pretty cool for hosting the webcast, though I'm still pissed they didn't show TOOL last time.

If I was putting the CD together I would have included a re-mastered "She Couldn't" and Chester singing "No Roads", but that's just me. Out of what they're actually giving us, I'm most looking forward to "Across The Line", if only because the last "exclusive" song we got (QWERTY) was such a badass track, and I'm hoping they keep it up. Really interested to see if Mike's vocals are on a the MTM demos, too.

"Crawling" got me hooked on LP way back when, and it's still my favorite video. I miss the badass red mohawk, too.

I'm sure Obama fans will love the "Socialism" Joker tee. Way to alienate fans, DBS! Decent performance, but I'm sick of "Crawl Back In". Excited to see "Let Down" once they put it on their channel.

Dead By Sunrise on Letterman (HD Video)

Not my favorite DBS song, but definitely a great performance. Thanks for the HD! -
OUT OF ASHES and THE RISING TIED are such polar opposites it's incredible. Not just in the sound and who is involved, but in the (perceived) promotional efforts of both. Fort Minor had the mixtape, Jay-Z as a producer, a club tour in the US, appeared on the Tonight Show, had a fan club, released a special edition of their album, an official (functioning) website and most important of all, constant updates from Mike. I feel like the only time I hear anything about DBS, aside from this site, is when they post info about sponsor contests on Facebook. "Tweet to win!" isn't too exciting to me. The album comes out in under 48 hours and we still don't know if there is a special edition or DVD. All we know is that they cut their most well known track (Morning After) and relagated it to a B-side. Half-hour "full sets" don't help much, either. I'm a very frustrated Chazy Chaz fan right now. I think he's stuck in the past with his promotional skills, just assuming he can toss a CD on the shelf and someone will buy it. Maybe Mike spoiled us with all his updates, info, and tech saviness a few years back.

I want this more than any other LP live video out there. Make it happen LPL
-
I'm shocked that DBS have been so half-assed in putting information out there for people. I would love to know if there will be the "special edition" with a DVD, or acoustic versions of tracks, and where to buy it all, but to not even have an official website is a dumb @#$%^ move in 2009. Whoever is in charge of marketing DBS needs a pink slip.
-
I want "She Couldn't" remastered, Chester singing "No Roads Left", or Mike singing "Little Things." Anything else is gravy.
-
I think that instead of a new video DBS should make a new album. "Out of Ashes" sucks and sounds like a bad 45 minute Scott Weiland impression.
-
After hearing this and the other 2 songs out there, I think I'd be more favorable to DBS if "Out of Ashes" was a live album. They should release a "deluxe" edition with a bonus CD of all live tracks.

LP looked extremely out of place, thank god the crowd was behind them. Being in the middle of a Bizkit/Metallica sandwich is no place for our pop-rock heros. And Chester: stop dressing like Bruno.
-
Hopefully someone will remember that it's on tonight (and was last night, too) and record it. The only downside with Palladia is the censorship. When they show Bizkit's "Break Stuff", it's just a 3 minute bleep, lol.

"Mike, why not save on the cost of DSP's, and just sell a CD at every show titled "Greatest Hits?" A less clever way of asking might be, "Will your setlists always be generic?" (sorry, new intros don't = a rare song played in full).
-
I support the question about unreleased collaborations, specifically "Head Like A Hole", the NIN cover he did with KoRn (I think?). Hopefully whatever makes the final cut will get a serious, interesting answer. Too many times I've read LPU chat transcripts that ask about the same two things: tour dates (they never know) and musical direction (it always changes).
-
Tonight was alright, just like every other show they've played since the "MTM" songs got old. My concern with Linkin Park is a futuristic one. I'm anxious to see what their setlist will look like 2 albums (or 10 hits) from now. LP insist on playing every single at every show, and at the current pace, "staples" like POA will eventually be cut. The rotating setlists idea is a small step in the right direction. Rotating singles would be an even better concept.

Why am I surprised that LP, their label, management or whoever decided to double dip 7 months after the original release? I'll be buying the blu-ray, but I'm bummed it doesn't include the CD. All of my LP CD's were stolen a couple of months ago :-/
-
I'll try to be realistic, though STP are on hiatus and Limp may or may not actually reunite. Limp Bizkit, Stone Temple Pilots, Godsmack, Styles of Beyond, Snoop Dogg
-
This makes all other mainstream fans just look bad. I'm not a big NIN fan but would be completely overwhelmed and overjoyed if my favorite bands did this. I can definitely see a band like 311 going this route when their contract is up. LP? Not so much. I feel like that would ruin their sacred profitiability and perfectionist ways.

I'm sick of YouTube. The terrible bootlegs. The god-awful acoustic covers. And lest we forget, the anime "remixes". In the rare event that I want to watch a music video, I go to MTVmusic.com. They have everything, and you don't need to go through a dozen fakes or bad quality videos to get what you want.
-
Camp Freddy is a great concept and I like most of the musicians involved. Definitely would look forward to a DVD, especially if it showcased some of Chester's songs. I like "Whole Lotta Love" most.
-
Night one is definitely superior, in my opinion. I hope somebody rips the STP set, too. It would be pretty badass if Chester showed up to do "Wonderful" with STP tonight or even with just Weiland on Sunday!
