  1. That is what you wrote. You didn't give any source at all, not even your own ears. You just put it out there without any info on how you found out about it. This was your answer to how you know that. You give a little bit of an explanation here but can't be bothered to mention what demo you are refering to. Again, nothing that verifies what you claimed initially and therefore it seemed like it was nothing more than baseless speculation which we had too much of during the last weeks. And yet you still can't seem to understand why people reacted the way they did? Come on, man, just be a LITTLE self critical about the way you communicated your find. I think we all agree that you found out something really intriguing but don't act like everyone shitted on your claim for NO reason because as I pointed out, it took you 3(!) posts to finally explain everything. That's your fault alone. With that being said, I never would have imagined that these two songs might be connected. It's still a bit crazy to me.
  2. To be fair, you just put out a claim initially without any explanation on how you came to the conclusion. It's something we have seen around here for the last couple of weeks and you had to expect that people don't just follow your claim. If you would've provided your reasoning earlier people would've been much more positive towards you. So please don't spin this as "us" being skeptical because "we" had every reason to be so.
  3. "The super deluxe version of the “Meteora” reissue, due April 7, features “Work in Progress,” a collection of edited tour footage shot by the band’s in-house videographer, Mark Fiore, who captured what Shinoda called “weird, fly-on-the-wall stuff.” Hmm, sounds more like the LPTV stuff that got released after the album. Kind of bummed but let's hope for a lot of new footage.
  4. Mike mentioned on... TikTok(?) that it is supposed to be 90 minutes and mostly consists of unseen footage. But since his 90 minutes don't add up and I wouldn't trust him 100% to know all the video stuff out there let's see. I remain optimistic because of Frat Party 2. I mean, that came out of nowhere and they have a lot more footage for Meteora.
  5. It's coming from the guy who gave us the tracklist about a month in advance. He deserves some trust I'd say?
  6. I know LP fans are divisive but holy shit, what a take
  7. Like mentioned at the leaked Warner store page: a very VERY good performance by Chester. The second verse is amazing. Lyrics are dark especially now. I wish it would have gotten the Meteora mixing treatment but overall it's AWESOME to have a brand fucking new song with a fresh vocal performance. Great stuff!
  8. Glad that the wait is over soon and we can all talk about it.
  9. It was actually the first as far as I recall and it is one of the reasons why I think it's a shame they didn't put it on the album. I replayed that snippet over and over back in the day.
  10. It's so so funny to see grown ass people melt down because of this. I literally feel like it's 2003 again :D. It's a mystery to me how some of you can feel so butthurt by this. It's not like they canceled the whole thing which we know we'll get in March? Everything from those who felt angered to those who provoked others because of it: Pure comedy gold or rather a blast from the past. With that being said, really cool from LP to go the extra mile and give us something to play around with. I'll be happy with whatever comes out at the end of it. Personally I had a huge smile on my face while checking every pixel of lp.com.
  11. I read up on Linkinpedia about "Figure.09" yesterday. In the Meteora booklet it is said that they swapped the original rap verses of the song for singing only to undo that change while in NYC "because it made the song more interesting". Until yesterday I never questioned it but then I realized that it was most likely not the case (conspiracy time :D). What I THINK is far more likely than changing a fundamental part of a song during the mixing progress (the band themselves said it is extremely rare and stressful to record while mixing, which was true during that time) especially after they worked in the studio on the version with singing which they took to NYC is that Chester's sickness prevented them from finishing the singing verses. Pure speculation on my part but I can imagine them trying their hardest to finish up "Somewhere I Belong" because it was supposed to be the first single (and "From The Inside") left Chester too sick to record anymore vocals. Therefore they had to react to that and changed the verses back so Mike could finish them. The devil lies in the details: "Somewhere I Belong" and "From The Inside" were finished as intended but "Figure.09" (by my theory) couldn't get finished the way they wanted to. Therefore they had to go back to an "inferior" version which is something they probably wouldn't ever say upfront because after all Meteora was the album they wanted to be perfect. Anyway, long ramble, judging by everything we know that seems more likely to me than what "officially" got said about this episode. Maybe M20 will shine a new light on it or I'm completely wrong. If anyone appreciates these thoughts it might be someone on here, though :D.
  12. I'm with you on this. Waiting for that track since 2003.
  13. When they started playing Meteora for journalists they had tight security. People had to give away their phones and stuff during the listening session (which was rather extreme in 2002/3, mind you). Korn's album leaked about half a year before its release in an unmastered state in 2002, so LP and the label were really careful. The album leaked only a week (or rather a couple of days) before release which was a great achievement during that time because albums were leaking left and right with the rather fresh filesharing phenomenom. I think getting on top in these times shaped LP a lot.
  14. One thing I want to add here: We never had an official band biography. Maybe something like this is in the works. Maybe even an official documentary about the band? I would welcome both these things.
  15. For the love of everything I hope it has nothing to do with anything Crypto/NTF related. I'm positive that this topic will not be part of the LP world and rather Mike's as a solo person. But first things first: METEORA 20th, babyyyy!
  16. Ah, I see! Thanks for clarifying! @NJPLP "Serpent" fits "Nobody's Listening" quite well actually because it can be both a snake and a wind instrument (don't know if this is the correct term, I had to google). Thinking about a snake charmer.
  17. But on the tracks I mentioned he does neither. They are just names without any additions.
  18. I'm just wondering: There are a lot of songs without a "demo" label. We know of 3 from the studio which got cut. Curious what the other songs are.
  19. Just a small thing because it got mentioned a lot: I think "distorted" would be a better term than "dirty" for the guitar type. Could be wrong, but wanted to throw this out there ;).
  20. If there is a great live video show and maybe a new or extended version of the making of I'll be extremely happy! The third disc is amazing by itself.
  21. Damn it, stop to excite me so much :D. It would be so cool to get this track after 20 years. Let's hope for the best!!
  22. One thing I've noticed: This part has scratching. This could either mean it is a pre-production demo where scratching was applied OR the song actually was finished in the studio. Scratching was done just before vocals (so the instrumental should be done) and we know that TTTAMP has received vocals in the studio. My guess at this point is that the song got scrapped really late in the recording process.
  23. It's crazy how everyone immediately can tell
  24. Agreed. Absolutely feels like something from this time. It also reminds me of "Dropped Frames".
  25. I don't like how cheap the guitar sounds (like a demo) compared to the electronic elements. Yes, feels like a MTM demo.
