AParallelogramInTheSand Posted December 24, 2010 Posted December 24, 2010 i laughed when i saw LPA bring out their own shirts. Not playing favoritism, but ours are just so much more badass. Their shirts look to quickly done, and done purely to have a shirt (whether they did this to combat our shirt sale or not) Quote

Pez Posted December 24, 2010 Posted December 24, 2010 It seems like someone is snatching the sites Ideas. I think LPR is next Quote
GingerLP Posted December 24, 2010 Posted December 24, 2010 Hahaha.. LPA had like, the exact same blurb thing for their shirts as here. "Ready in time for North American Tour, etc". I think they only put it because they are probably the 'leading' LP fansite. so, they would have to, if the 'lesser' (LPL is not Lesser by the way, but you know what i mean) had them. Quote
arbiter Posted December 24, 2010 Posted December 24, 2010 I am this close to ordering the grey one for the tour(probably will) simply because of the quote. I feel i owe it to myself to have that truth emblazoned across my back, and not just at an LP concert. Quote
LMK Posted December 24, 2010 Posted December 24, 2010 It seems like someone is snatching the sites Ideas. I think LPR is next WIN!! Quote
SpikeMinoda Posted December 24, 2010 Posted December 24, 2010 WIN!!indeed!! It's kinda funny. LPL came up with the staff shirts in summer and posted about them shortly before the European Tour and OMG 5 days before the summit the next site came up with an idea of the shirts^^ Now again the same We posted our shirts with 2 designs and the other page .... yes guys you are right, they started also to sell shirts it's awesome. I really can't wait who will be the next site with shirts Quote
dark_master Posted December 24, 2010 Posted December 24, 2010 I'm surprised bazinga! haven't come up with that idea yet. xD Quote
SpikeMinoda Posted December 24, 2010 Posted December 24, 2010 I'm surprised bazinga! haven't come up with that idea yet. xDwait some more days and you will find our design over there XDDD Quote
feelthless Posted December 24, 2010 Posted December 24, 2010 I'm surprised bazinga! haven't come up with that idea yet. xD They will just copypaste ours and change LPLive to bazinga! Quote
wiiesel Posted December 24, 2010 Posted December 24, 2010 kinda lame from this other site to copy the idea if you ask me. Not to mention their poor design.... ^^ Quote
lpatodd Posted December 24, 2010 Posted December 24, 2010 Excuse me? We didn't copy off of anyone. We were comparing printing options for the past two months and had the idea long before that. In fact, I have proof of that - Derek, Andrea and I ordered shirts 10 days before LPL announced they were doing shirts. So how could we have possibly copied off of you? See? 10 days: You know the old saying that goes "when you assume, you make an ass out of you and me"? It's incorrect. The only person you made an ass out of are yourselves. Quote

LPAAltwireDerek Posted December 24, 2010 Posted December 24, 2010 Have you ever stopped to think that perhaps we don't read LPLive religiously? That maybe perhaps we could be so busy with our OWN SITE (which we spend hours working on everyday) that we don't waste our time, nor even have enough time to double check every single last idea we come up with to make sure that LPLive wasn't thinking of it as well? It was a coincidence, plain and simple...and I'd respect it if you wouldn't throw around baseless allegations. A good example: When we made the WIKI a few months ago, we got a text from Mark (Hahninator) saying that he was bummed we posted a Wiki first because Mark was working on an unannounced Wiki (meaning he told nobody and nobody knew before hand) for the next version of LPLive. Do you guys think I someone got inside Mark's brain to steal that idea too? Fuck. LPL and LPA were getting along until today. Me and Mark resolved our differences in private, and even were working on an upcoming project together that would include ALL the fansites (not just LPA/LPL). There is no "war" and you guys have to get that through your heads and stop trying to pick fights with us. Mark wouldn't want it, and neither do we. You guys really need to stop trying to pick fights with us, because LPA has no desire to fight with LPL. The staff of both sites respect each other, and our members respect your site greatly and even post on LPL sometimes. Please respect us as well. This animosity is getting old. We want peace, not this shit. Quote
michalangelo Posted December 24, 2010 Posted December 24, 2010 wtf is this about? free world, anyone can make t-shirts for their website. imho doesnt matter who had the idea 1st. if people want them they will buy them...or not. blaming anyone for copying "ideas" is lame. Quote

Still are getting along if you ask me, lol. The project is STILL coming, btw. In a sort of...predicament about it with Adam but it has to be done before the North American Tour, so I've got to make a move ASAP. News on this to you soon D. DecanoLP Posted December 24, 2010 Posted December 24, 2010 Everyone should do whatever he wants to. It doesn't matter if LPA copied this idea or not (and I'm sure they didn't do it), the most important thing is that we have such an amazing fanbase with these great fansites that are represented at concerts as well and the band appreciates out hard work here. Merry Christmas! Quote
Jen Posted December 24, 2010 Posted December 24, 2010 It's Christmas. Be respectful and nice to everyone. Is it really that hard to do that? Merry Christmas to both LPL and LPA and all of their respective members. I wish all of you a wonderful holiday. Quote
