i met an official WMG agent today

ok well i went to a baby shower today lol, and it so happens a person there was from WMG, i over heard him talking about linkin park & dead by sunrise, about there shows in NYC. It so happens he works within the compeny when its time to release an album and what songs they want as singles etc etc etc. So i ask him a few ?'s

 

they are the following:

 

What Could Be the Next 2 singles?

A: Irdescent & Wrectches And Kings

 

Do you see WTCFM as a single?

A: no not really but you never know

 

What are any ideas you think they will try in the US Tour?

A: they want too try and play as much new material as possable (explains the Blackout & BITS samples during sound cheak recently)

 

Is Dead By Sunrise working on anything new?

A: well, with the LP tour & Juilin-K doing there thing, it could happen in 2012. (WTF!)

 

Anything on Orgy?

A: WHO?! (LMFAO)

 

Chester said there might be a new album or something, what are the plains?

A: we might put out a live dvd or a EP, but we are not 100% sure on this let. (-___-)

 

On DBS again, what about the cover version of "20 Eyes"?

A: if its not leaked somehow or official release. NOBODY! will ever hear it.

 

What about a DBS Live CD/DVD?

A: once they give us the 100% confrimation of them going into the studio and making new stuff. Then we will put out something.

 

When is the LPUX site going up?

A: idk, its not up let?

 

i give up on ?'s....

& THEN! he goes too his car, gives me a bag saying "you love LP so much, you can have this"

 

It was the In The End Single CD!!!!! xD i also got his email so if anything. =)

that's pretty cool :) i always pictured wretches being one of the singles from this album... the song just kicks way too much a**!

 

really starting to love WTCFM as well - never used to all that much but love seeing it live

i think he didnt want too give away alot of info & by looking at the US tour video & pics etc etc.

 

maybe on Dec 31, 2010 or that Midnight!

cause last year Jay Z officially released the music video worldwide for "On To The Next One" on midnight after the ball drop & it was showing on muitple channels.

 

so it could happen? xD

I knew it. I knew that the new album for 2011 could be an EP. Hopefully it's true. :P

You guys do know that just because someone works for WMG doesn't mean they're privy to all kinds of insider information, right? This is in no way confirmation that Iridescent and Wretches and Kings are the next 2 singles. This guy honestly said nothing that nobody else couldn't have concluded on their own through some simple logic.

 

-Iridescent and Wretches and Kings as the next 2 singles: Iridescent was listed on the sticker on the ATS cover, and W&K was the second full song the band released from the album before it came out.

 

-WTCFM not likely as a single "but you never know": Since Iridescent and W&K are already more likely to be singles because of the previous question, that means there will probably only be one more single from the album, if they even do another one, and the band hasn't been giving any kind of additional promotion to any of the other songs on the album, so WTCFM isn't any more or less likely of a single than Burning in the Skies or The Messenger or any other full-length track on the album.

 

-Wanting to play as much new material as possible on the US tour: ...It's not called the "A Thousand Suns World Tour" because they're going to come out and play a set chock-full of rarities. Derp.

 

-DBS not doing anything new until at least 2012: You don't even have to factor in Julien-K to reach this conclusion. We all know LP's going to be touring for ATS at least until the end of 2011.

 

-Nothing on Orgy: Orgy hasn't been signed with Warner for years...they severed ties with Warner/Reprise in like 2003. Punk Statik Paranoia was released on an independent label called D1 Records.

 

-"Not 100% sure" on EP/new album/live DVD etc. type plans: You'd get this same non-answer from anybody you ask, including the band themselves.

 

-No 20 Eyes: LMAO. Read what this guy said again: "If it's not officially released or leaked somewhere, nobody will ever hear it!" ...An official release or a leak are the only two methods by which music is EVER heard. Once again, derp.

 

-No new DBS stuff until they decide to record: Derp for the third time. Why would they release a live CD/DVD for a band that doesn't have any kind of promotion going on right now and is effectively on hiatus at least until LP is done with their A Thousand Suns promotion?

 

-No clue about LPUX: Not even the LPU has a clue what's going on with LPUX from what I can tell, so I'm not surprised he doesn't know anything either.

 

Warner should hire me to do PR work for them, I can give non-committal answers too.

I also know for sure, that OOA sold so bad, at least way behind their expections, that there might be no second DBS album, at least not paid by Warner for recording studio ect., if I'm correct warner even made minus with it, which is rly sad, imo.

That doesn't mean there wont be another dbs album, imo. yes it might affect the decision to make one, but than they could just do it for the fans and the 'big' demand

I find it hard to believe this post at all. I've met several workers at Warner Music, fuck, I even sat in their office with GigaScythe for 2 hours eating pizza and drinking Coca Cola with them, listening to Out Of Ashes months before the release. They would not be happy to share all this information you have told us, nor are they as informed or as prepared as you have made them out to be.

 

I'm not openly calling you a liar, but from my experiences with the company (which I must stress that has been on than one occasion), they would not give this kind of information out - they wouldn't even be informed on this information fully themselves, or remember it all from the top of their heads, surely.

Dude so true, they only care about their own projects, they dont give a fuck about this sorts of information actually.

 

LoL I gotta think bout the gruenspan show in hamburg, it was filmed for release, a dude told me that directly on the show. Then I called them like after 5 months, he didnt even know what i was talkin about. So yeah, unless the person ur talkin bout is not LPs management(even if you get Lps management to talk, they wont say much) u wont get any decent information not because they hatin, just because they dunno.
