Initially I also heard only Mike's voice but after a few listens I noticed Chester at the very end of the song when the song title is repeated several times. I'm not sure if that's him, could be Mike's higher vocals as well.

Lyrics:

Daylight, knowing I'm all alone

White lies, lining up on their own

You said you would stand on my side

Regret, it's too late to deny

All the back and forth and yes and no

All the right and wrong and high and low

And you set me up to let me down

But it all comes back around

What are you worth now?

What are you waiting for?

When every battlefield you run from generates a war?

What are you chasing?

What do you think you deserve?

Cuz you will never have a thing

unless you've got your worth

What are you worth?

Last straw as the sky turns to red

Free fall, while I fight to forget

All the back and forth and yes and no

All the right and wrong and high and low

And you set me up to let me down

But it all comes back around

What are you worth now?

What are you waiting for?

When every battlefield you run from generates a war?

What are you chasing?

What do you think you deserve?

Cuz you will never have a thing

unless you've got your worth

What are you worth?

What are you worth?

All the back and forth and yes and no

I'm hearing "every battlefield you run from" not "path you can run from"

I don't think Chester is in this song

You can hear him clearly at the  very end of the song before it's over. And if you listen closely I think it's him singing along with Mike at some parts. He is buried way low in the mix so that he provides more of like a background vocal like Mike has some in the past on some LP songs. 99.9% of listeners wouldn't know that Chester is on the song though, only super hardcore fans like us know about this stuff.

I hear the second vocal, I just don't think it's Chester

Like I said, maybe there is someone else besides Mike on vocals in this song, but I can clearly hear that isn't a Chester.

To hear more backing vocals, open the song for example in audacity and use on it vocal remover with default settings. After that listen to the chorus and you will notice something that can be:

a) a really weird edited vocals by Mike
b) someone's else on vocals, but not a member of the band

Could be this track was recorded recently for an upcoming releases (etc. album or LPU). that's why Adam and WBR take it seriously and wiped it out of the Internet just like Thanos did. To be honest, there's a second vocals in the song but I don't think it'sChester. That's what make me think this was recorded after Chester passed away.

ps: it's kinda addicted and keep repeating it

Linkin Park is one band who has like a million tracks. We probably have more instrumental demos than we do main album songs. Same with remixes and shit too. Or just a bunch of weird songs that are supposedly from different albums. So many tracks. I want to count how many tracks we have that aren’t on the standard editions of the 7 main albums. Would be too hard to do.

I think that would actually be interesting. Here's a list in case you really want to count:

Sounds like Chester on the last two lines of the song.

The song wasn't recorded recently, it's from several years ago.

is that an info from internal source? that's cool. so it is a leaked demo from the vault. probably the mixing quite bad, Chester vocals not really heard properly in the track.

I wonder if this song was maybe planned to be properly finished and included on either an LPU or maybe a special edition of OML, and then plans for the song (and any releases) were shelved after 7/20. That might explain why the song was in a position to be leaked like this in the first place.

I could be completely wrong, but I would imagine that most unreleased music like this doesn't leak because it's typically available to so few people that the source of the leak could be easily identified.

That might be true, actually. You never know. The fact that Warner was so aggressive with taking it down and the fact that Adam even said stuff from promo CD's like She Couldn't shouldn't be out there makes me think the label was REALLY pissed that this leaked. We haven't got LPU music in almost 3 years now so I don't think it was intended for LPU. Probably was some release for OML demos/b-sides (Special Edition OML would fall into this category). Maybe since it was published in March of 2016 with Brian Howes, it was intended for release then as a standalone song, or maybe they were planning on using it at some point and never did, etc. A lot of guesses but someone out there knows where it came from.

Brian Howes added the song to BMI in early 2016. We've posted news about that back in the day. That's our source. lol

so, that means, anything that has been added in the BMI site, a song has been recorded/done at that period? i thought it just a registred platform.

From the Linkinpedia page about the song:

I am confused. Did the song leak way earlier but only to the public a couple of days ago?

I dont believe so, i think the first time it was heard of was 2 days before it got leaked when a guy posted a snippet of the song in his soundcloud
