I immediately vote that we refer to that as the "2017 version" of Leave Out All the Rest, because that would be a hell of a lot simpler than "Piano chorus intro w/Mike lead vocal + full band instrumental jam > heavier version of full song w/extended outro + guitar solo"

Brad on the mic talking to the crowd. What is even real anymore?

Edit: Looks like it's back to normal sets without abbreviated songs nor moment killers. I love it! Though I'd rather see WFTE back in the set.

Done.

No WFTE. Phew. 4 OML songs instead of 5?

Any show page changes you think we should make to intros/outros/etc just leave comments.

The Setlist was very..... different...

But the People in Argentina loved it. There was so much Power in this Crowd.

I hope that this is a "Festival Setlist" and for Arena Headline Gigs they play a other one :)

Seems like I am in the minority but I don't like this setlist at all. Catalyst is not a good opener in my opinion, Wastelands and OSC are positioned pretty randomly, Battle Symphony sounds like a college cover band (might improve though), Numb and Heavy are not songs you should play in an encore.

Highlights: Talking To Myself might be a decent song, Leave Out All The Rest seems to be pretty awesome.

That was good! Great show, Love the flow of it all, Pieces of the setlist is not put in boxes anymore. its a freeflow all throughout with only the encore at the end.

I love the fact that they only did one shortened song and not almost all of them.

I loved the fact that they did not do any musical interludes where chester goes of the stage to take a break. Like they did with the blackout instrumental and the Robot boy instrumental and the Joe hahn DJ set.

I loved the fact that they did all the popular songs.

I would have loved some heavier songs though.. But I guess we are at a point where you just cant have it all in one show anymore.

I think One more light will be the final and fifth live song off the new album.

I don't think the intro should include Fallout at all, the Roads Untraveled vocal thing was just over the sustained drone of the intro synth from The Catalyst. The Catalyst (w/Roads Untraveled intro) is how it should be IMO.

The Catalyst had no bridge or third chorus, went straight from the second chorus to the quiet piano section.

The One Step Closer intro was kind of a hybrid of a couple of the previous extended intros but didn't quite match up with either one of them, I'd probably just call it a new intro. They also brought back the short pause before the extended outro, which they hadn't done for the last few tours.

Castle of Glass Experience had a COMPLETELY different ending from the old version.

LITE isn't listed correctly. It was the longer of the two shortened versions - Intro/First Verse/Chorus/Bridge/Chorus/Outro.

We need to come up with a consistent way to list the Crawling piano version - It's shortened (no first chorus/shortened outro), but not all of the show pages list it that way.

I think we should somehow make note of when Mike plays guitar on the bridge/last chorus of In the End, as it's not something he's done consistently ever since he started doing it in 2014.

Were we also noting when Brad plays the Numb/Encore guitar part during the first verse of Numb? I thought we were, but I might be wrong.

Bleed it Out had an extended outro.

I agree with you. I didn't like the flow of this set at all. Sounded like someone hitting shuffle on the LP spotify page and that is what they got. Catalyst isn't a good opener. They need a song that explodes right out of the gate. Talking To Myself has energy to it so that was a good choice but besides that there were too many "mid level" energy songs. Seems like they're prepping the set for more OML style material with the addition of LOATR in full, piano Crawling, COG experience, LITE etc. I'm surprised we even have wastelands thrown in there.

Good show. I´m very impressed with Talking to Myself, I like it a lot more than any of the other songs released so far. Obviously we will never be 100% satisfied with their setlists, and unfortunately with a 7th album now, we´ve reached the point in which 95% of their live show will consist of singles.

Now, if I had to make changes to the current set (without being one of those idiots that like to post their top 22 LP songs including b-sides or stuff we know they'll never play again), I would suggest two realistic changes:

-Get rid of the Castle of Glass mix and replace it with Final Masquerade (if they want something mellow) or one high energy song (APFMH, No More Sorrow or Wretches and Kings)

-If they are only going to play ONE fucking song from THP (my favorite album), I'd be happy with GATS, Rebellion or ALITS instead of Wastelands.

I kind of liked the shakeup of the set, but a few of the song placements were head-scratchers. Wastelands second? Burn it Down fourth? Papercut second to last?

Didn't really care for the new ending to COG Experience, and Battle Symphony sounded pretty rough. Sounded to me like Chester was singing along with his vocal track from the album recording for the entirety of Talking to Myself, maybe they wanted to ensure that the song sounded "extra good" since nobody's heard the studio version yet.

On the plus side, I really liked the new Roads Untraveled intro to The Catalyst, the new WID intro, and I LOVED the new version of LOATR.

Shortened songs and really weird song sequences. Hopefully this is only for festivals. I don't understand why they can't get their set lists right. Start off with a bunch of energy, bring it down for a bit, and finish with a bang. It's not that complicated.
