RogueSoul Posted October 29, 2014 Posted October 29, 2014 A new music video for 'Iridescent', the fourth single from their 2010 album, A Thousand Suns, has been shot by the band for Stars Of The Season. Stars Of The Season is an annual gala held in September, in which Chester has taken part in many times (Dead By Sunrise in 2011, a band composed of his friends and him in 2012, STP in 2013, and Linkin Park in 2014). His wife, Talinda, and himself are the honorary chairs of the event. The event is hosted by the Cardon Children's Medical Center in Meso, Arizona, which specialize in children's pediatric health. Chester and his family are huge supports of the organization, as well as the rest of Linkin Park! The medical center has created music videos for the band's songs, 'Burn It Down' and 'Castle Of Glass' (and now 'Iridescent') to thank the band for their hard work towards the medical center's benefit. Check out the video they made for 'Burn It Down', featuring a Mini-Mike during the bridge! Several shots of the behind-the-scenes recording of the upcoming music video have been shared via its directors' Instagram accounts (davekinsler and jackpchapman). It appears the video may be purely Chester (with clips from the original 'Iridescent' music video and custom shots of the hospital mixed in, i.e. the past videos made by the CCMC), as there aren't any shots of the other members of the band, but we don't know for certain. The video's release date is currently unknown. Quote
Geki Posted October 29, 2014 Posted October 29, 2014 No idea why the hell they would recycle a song from such a long time ago, but I guess it's to raise awareness and is for a good cause. They could have done one for a song from their actual new album, like Final Masquerade or Until It's Gone. Quote

They could have done one for a song from their actual new album, like Final Masquerade or Until It's Gone. I don't think it has anything to do with promoting their current singles, It's probably because of the song's message. A song like Iridescent is fitting for this type of situation. Quote
Geki Posted October 29, 2014 Posted October 29, 2014 I think War or White Noise is more fitting for the situation. Quote
Tyleronlplive Posted October 29, 2014 Posted October 29, 2014 Robot Boy anyone? Same album, but did not have the single treatment or a music video. Quote
JZLP-Benningstrong Posted October 29, 2014 Posted October 29, 2014 I think War or White Noise is more fitting for the situation. You must be high lol Good choice, fits the event. Quote
Justin Posted October 29, 2014 Posted October 29, 2014 I think War or White Noise is more fitting for the situation. Totally. If there's anywhere that makes me want to headbang and start moshing, it's Children's Hospital. They should play Given Up while they're at it. /sarcasm Quote
HybridParty Posted October 30, 2014 Posted October 30, 2014 Maybe they might play this live in full now Quote
Pez Posted October 30, 2014 Posted October 30, 2014 Dont gonna lie, I like this video a lot more then the orginial. I feel its a little more ftting to the song. Quote
RogueSoul Posted October 30, 2014 Author Posted October 30, 2014 What a fucking beautiful video. This legitimately brought tears to my eyes. Quote
GlassCastles Posted October 30, 2014 Posted October 30, 2014 This... this is way better than the original video. Really fits the song, and is just a powerful, beautiful video. Quote
-jodeln- Posted October 30, 2014 Posted October 30, 2014 UUUUUhm I don´t like the Video but well its nice to see Linkin Park giving support to charity stuff where they can. Quote
sian18 Posted October 30, 2014 Posted October 30, 2014 Awesome video and for a great cause really fits well. i spent most of my teenage life in and out of hospitals so this song meens a lot so dose the video thumbs up to the guys/chester for doing this Quote
Thor Posted October 31, 2014 Posted October 31, 2014 (edited) It would've been better if Mike had been in the video too and singing his part. Edited October 31, 2014 by Thor Quote
arasLP Posted November 1, 2014 Posted November 1, 2014 This is so touching... beautiful video that represents the song's meaning very well... better than the original LP video, which has almost nothing to do with the meaning of this song. I love this new video, great job Quote
ChuckCheese Posted November 3, 2014 Posted November 3, 2014 I think War or White Noise is more fitting for the situation. This is probably the most disrespectful and offensive thing you've said on this site. Quote
