ChesterBNetwork confirms that Chester will give a song to the soundtrack for 'La Bare', a new documentary coming out in 2014. Check out a review of the film from this year's Sundance Festival here. 'La Bare' is set to release on June 27, 2014 and it goes inside the world of the 'La Bare Dallas' strip club, the most popular male strip club in the world.

ChesterBNetwork says, "We've got some exciting news to report, Chester Bennington will contribute to the soundtrack of 'La Bare', a documentary on wait for it… male strippers. La Bare is directed by True Blood's Joe Manganiello and is scheduled for release this summer. Aside from Chester, other artists that will appear on the soundtrack are, Flaming Lips, Poliça, Active Child and Marilyn Manson. We hope for more info on what song Chester's going to contribute, whether it will be an existing song or a song exclusively for the documentary."

This is the first soundtrack for Chester to contribute a song to outside of Linkin Park since the 'Queen Of The Damned' soundtrack in 2002, where he contributed 'System'. 'System' was the first song to feature profanity for Chester until 'Given Up' in 2007.

Thoughts? What do you think he'll contribute? Has he worked on more solo material since the Dead By Sunrise album? Will it just be a DBS song? Or will it be something completely new?

4/9 EDIT: 'Morning After' now has two BMI entries - the usual Dead By Sunrise one and now a new one credited to just Chester. With this addition, it seems likely that some solo version of 'Morning After' by Chester will appear on the soundtrack.

A trailer for 'La Bare' can be seen here. DJ Z-Trip will be overseeing the soundtrack.

I think he may do a whole track by himself, eventually with DBS. The soundtrack to the movie seems to be pretty varied, Flaming Lips, Poliça, Active Child and Marilyn Manson seem to play a totally different music from each other.

Where's the main source?

I mean besides CBN, because in the site there's no source. I couldn't find anything on google.

Posted a full month ago too, yet went completely unnoticed until now. Huh.

Man, Joe Manganiello loves anything that doesn't involve shirts...... definitely a new song for Chester though, it sounds like it!

Cool. I think this song is going to be just Chester, not a DBS return or anything like that (even though it would be awesome). I assume he has some more solo material except this song. I don't think everything he writes these days goes to LP.

I don't wee why everybody thinks DBS; STP would be more likely. Personally I hope it's a brand new Chester solo song.

Update from Astat's research: There are now two entries for Morning After - one credit to just Chester and one credit to all of the Dead By Sunrise members.

System is credited under Linkin Park for the artist, but it gives credit to Jon Davis and Richard Gibbs. Odd.

Morning After from Underworld & Morning After from Out Of Ashes. It was always mislabeled ''Julien-K Remix'' but that is never what it was. I have the physical CD. It just says Chester Bennington VS Julien-K as the artist. At the time, the band wasn't called Snow White Tan or Dead By Sunrise, it was called Chester Bennington. Chester explains all this here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rRTE5ZZcVGw. He also talked about it in the LPU Chat from December 2005, he said there are two versions of Morning After, one rocks harder and one parties harder. As far as System goes, Jonathan Davis wrote the song and Chester did the vocals for it. Here it says

.

I think the song for the La Bare soundtrack might be something left over from DBS (an acoustic track, we all know they recorded the Vegas 2009 show since several tracks were released) or possibly 20 Eyes, after all this time. That is highly unlikely, though. Or maybe he is writing a song for the film by himself? Who knows. I don't think it will be STP, though, it just wouldn't fit at all IMO.

Usually with a remix, unless it's 100% redone like a Reanimation song, the original is only credited. Has Morning After always had two entries?

If you go by the numbers it's pretty save to say that the other ones is a pretty recent entry. The number is just slightly lower than ALTNC.

Number wise the other entry is from before Minutes To Midnight and way before the other OOA songs.

So Chester's version of "System" is officially a Linkin Park song?

This makes sense, so we maybe will have a new Morning After version? Or something like "Chester Bennington with Stone Temple Pilots - Morning Aflter"

The first version of Morning After (from Underworld: Evolution) was released in 2006. Might be it.

No no. I'm sure it has the LP entry as an artist since it was Chester's first appearance on another artist's song and that's how Warner wanted to do it. Maybe more money for Chester that way or something. We know they're all weird about that stuff.

The numbers do match up with the timing, yeah. So it was added semi recently to the database. The movie and soundtrack were premiered in January to people who reviewed them. I'm surprised more information isn't out about the film but it's a low-key release I guess. I don't know the original CBN source either but I highly doubt they make this up - they are a reputable source for LP/Chester news.

Maybe an studio acoustic version?

By the way, the new entry says "WRITER UNKNOWN". WTF?

Maybe the original Morning After demo?!? That's be sick. Or it could be a HQ live version of it from the DBS tour. Very interesting.
