Qwerty95k Posted August 20, 2013 Posted August 20, 2013 New trailer: ALTNC in HBO Fall Preview 2013: Mike Shinoda & Steve Aoki with Billboard about 'A LIGHT THAT NEVER COMES' here. Quote
LPMaskMan Posted August 20, 2013 Posted August 20, 2013 (edited) Sound like an avarage electro house song with Mike and Chaz. Nothing special. Edited August 20, 2013 by lpmaskmancick Quote
Jgrosk Posted August 20, 2013 Posted August 20, 2013 The instrumental sounds a lot better than I thought it would but I really didn't like those effects on Chester's vocals. Quote
JZLP-Benningstrong Posted August 20, 2013 Posted August 20, 2013 I dont like the effect on Chester's voice but this song might be better than LGM and Hit The Floor. Quote
Skipees Posted August 20, 2013 Posted August 20, 2013 It sounds better than the live version, can't say if it's good or not imo yet. Quote
gorast Posted August 20, 2013 Posted August 20, 2013 Better than HTF? Dude seriously? It's not that hard to make a song better than Hit the Floor. LP has done it...let's say two hundred times. Song sounds alright. We'll see in a couple weeks. Quote

RogueSoul Posted August 20, 2013 Posted August 20, 2013 I liked it until 0:29, that effect layered over the main vocal sounds terrible. And then the true EDM kicks in, eww. Quote
Skipees Posted August 20, 2013 Posted August 20, 2013 I really don't know why HTF is the "least favorite" song of the band. It's not a masterpiece, but it's not that bad. Quote

JZLP-Benningstrong Posted August 20, 2013 Posted August 20, 2013 That song shows the real power of LP. If that statement was real, the band would be opening for Limp Bizkit in their shows. Quote

It's a sign this song is shit. Edited August 20, 2013 by Soul Quote
Andros Posted August 20, 2013 Posted August 20, 2013 The instrumental part is good, but I really don't like the vocal effect on Chester. Quote
FearOfTheDuck Posted August 20, 2013 Posted August 20, 2013 The beat's cool, if rather generic. And yeah, to repeat what everyone else said that vocal effect is horrible. Quote
Skipees Posted August 20, 2013 Posted August 20, 2013 The second part (00:33) reminds me parts from the Datsik remix of UIB (03:43). Quote
stich Posted August 20, 2013 Posted August 20, 2013 here's a 40 seconds preview - http://www12.zippyshare.com/v/59245960/file.html Quote
Geki Posted August 20, 2013 Posted August 20, 2013 Sounds a lot different than the live version. I got the email with the preview for download. I actually don't mind it. I certainly don't want tons of EDM collaborations with LP, but this one was pretty decent sounding because it still has the original LP elements in the music somewhat. I'll say my final judgement when I hear the full studio version. Quote
Skipees Posted August 20, 2013 Posted August 20, 2013 Comparatively to EDM track, it has a lot of lyrics. What Steve said in the video?: "This is like one of the first songs ___ ___ ___ ___ ___ my world and the Linkin Park world." Quote

What Steve said in the video?: "This is like one of the first songs ___ ___ ___ ___ ___ my world and the Linkin Park world." I think he means that this is the first songs with LP; don't know if this could be taken as a rumor of an EP to be released but it sound on that terms to me Quote

stich Posted August 20, 2013 Posted August 20, 2013 (edited) I think the words that missing will answer this question. In fact that what I said, it's only an interpretation;and even if they do an EP we don't know anything about other songs (instrumental or full songs) and we didn't even know if this is gonna be released Edited August 20, 2013 by stich Quote
Skipees Posted August 20, 2013 Posted August 20, 2013 and even if they do an EP we don't know anything about other songs (instrumental or full songs) and we didn't even know if this is gonna be releasedIF they did more songs, they will release it. It's not 8-Bit Rebellion that there was only one song. It's not possibly to make 4/5 songs and release it only as in-game bonuses, it'll be weird (unless it's short instrumentals). Quote

What Steve said in the video?: "This is like one of the first songs ___ ___ ___ ___ ___ my world and the Linkin Park world." lol it has nothing to do with more songs (though it has been hinted at there are like 4 - 5 songs) He said "This is like one of the first songs where I was like 'How am I going to bridge my world and the Linkin Park world?'" Quote
Skipees Posted August 20, 2013 Posted August 20, 2013 He said "This is like one of the first songs where I was like 'How am I going to bridge my world and the Linkin Park world?'"Thanks. I like that Steve think the song is "dark" (maybe because the light never comes ). Quote
