  1. The article I saw didn't say exactly what his problem with LP was but I remember it saying how Motley Crüe uses backing tracks and then it mentioned LP.
  2. I only said that about Rob because this is some intense drumming on ALITS. Mike said that he had no idea that Rob could play that fast at the end of it.
  3. Hahn, I remember Mike saying before that they had done three jam sessions with Tom like they say in the video. So there were three tracks that they had, but the one that became Drawbar was the only one that really had any substance
  4. Jumping in once again and saying that I want to see ALITS performed. I'm not sure how it will transfer live in every aspect, but it should work relatively well. Chester's singing isn't really that difficult, he might just give a different type of scream. I have faith in Brad, Mike, and Rob for their performances on this.
  5. WIth Joe not in that picture rehearsing, that means it rules out any song that had his contribution on THP. So far, that leaves every song on THP
  6. He shared Mark the Graves as well. And Soul, that's his PRS that is in Drop C#, he wouldn't be playing newer songs on that, for the most part at least, he has played SOTD on it I know, but he has been playing UIG on a strat.
  7. Will any of these be going on YT? I'm too lazy to download and I'm usually on mobile.
  8. How did we all miss that haha. I guess the only thing left to question is whether the band was approached to do a song for the movie or if they just wrote it because they expected to be asked.
  9. I never heard that, although I remember him saying in the Twitter listening party that it was based on a drop.
  10. My theory for this is that they probably started working on UIG around Thanksgiving of 2013, so they named it that. This was at the time that they were in the studio with Aoki (or at least Mike and Chester were) and then an iterview from that same time said something along the lines of "Aoki shows us the progress on his next album while Linkin Park work on a song for a movie in the next room". We know that that was UIG for Trans4mers, but it ended up not being used. So that working title was from before they began work on THP officially. Of course, Thanksgiving could be very different from UIG if it was before Brad was adding solos to the songs, but UIG must have originally been intended to be on the TF soundtrack.
  11. Rob's LPU chat had some more highlights but Brad still answered the right questions, if those were the best that he was asked. Looking forward to more Making of THP episodesl.
  12. Jakob Dylan covering Final Masquerade without Brad
  13. You weren't named after his father, Bob Dylan? Plus Brad plays his solos facing the audience, look at any Fainit outro or WID solo. He just plays the main boring parts while he tries to walk offstage
  14. Cool. Funny to see Brad playing chords that use more than two fingers for a change. His solo was kinda cool if that was him playing it, the first solo has his back facing the camera but the second solo was by the other guitarist. Bluesy. Also inb4 Brad leaves the band to guest with more bands.
  15. Any videos of this? I was just thinking not too long after THP was released that I wouldn't be surprised if Brad and Rob started making guest appearances in other places after putting more work into their instruments
  16. All For Nothing: The second verse of the song was a "scat verse" before Mike finished it with rap lyrics. Page Hamilton recorded one of his guitar parts throughout the solo but the majority of it was cut/the volume was turned very low in the mix. From the latest LPTV
  17. I could tell that Page was singing when I first heard it because I'd heard a few Helmet songs, but I didn't immediately notice Mike being blended in there until the listening party. Paging Astat, does that PRS with the sweet brushed metal finish belong to Page? I know that Brad used a little bit of PRS on themalbum but a lot of it was with a Strat or an SG.
  18. Says the guy who never saw the 20th century.
  19. This is practically more footage than we have of everything else combined (GATS video +Instagram videos for UIG and GATS). I'd really like to see what else was on that board, it seems like more than 12 songs, especially only 3 months before the release. Hopefully more songs will be up next, the other collabs would be a must (nut much to show about Rebellion but Drawbar would be fantastic) and I'd love to see the concept behind ALITS.
  20. Geometric. Now the song is already wearing off on me.
  21. That's what I was thinking about the hook/chorus. It relies too heavily on it and it isn't a fantastic synth melody or chorus delivery to justify 5 minutes.
  22. After two listens, The Good: vocals are great with Mike and Chester. Chorus is really good and gets better each time. I don't like EDM but I like the instrumental and it would be good to listen to as study music. Lyrics are solid, especially since it was written after LT which had average lyrics. Chester does a good job. The Bad: This is Steve Aoki featuring Mike and Chester. It seems like the other four guys had even less input than on ALTNC. At over 5 minutes (longer than half of LP's discography), they missed opportunities to spice it up with any different instrumentation. It gets too repetitive. Not sure about the bridge because it makes me think of Skrillex. I don't know if we'll ever get to see this live outside of Steve's set unless Mike and Chester make an appearance, the rest of the band probably won't have interest in playing it. It's probably better than ALTNC. That's all.
  23. I think Brad has gotten pretty good at production in the time that he wasn't focusing on guitar during ATS and LT, so I don't see why he wouldn't be working on some stuff on his own like Mike often does. Other than Brad being lazy or uninterested, he's pretty close to Mike's level, if not better in some aspects like playing guitar. He could write some good stuff if Mike and Chester aren't readily available. Or, you know, the other three guys in the band could write some stuff too.
  24. Just watched the periscope videos and even though they use the same part multiple times, I kinda like it so far. I hope the part with Mike singing "don't you hold your breath / cause I'm not coming down" is the bridge because it would be great after the parts with just Chester. And I'm going to make a prediction for this: the song is going to be 90% Steve, Mike, and Chester. I'm only giving the rest of the members the 10% benefit of the doubt because at 5:13, there's no way that the song could be that repetitive without some sort of middle section with different instrumentation.
  25. I stopped using iTunes a long time ago
