DLC Tracks for Guitar Hero: Warriors Of Rock
HybridMeteora798 replied to tschenneck's topic in Everything Linkin Park
I am looking for the multi-tracks because, I study them. I'm a producer and I love to look at the individual elements. And plus, I also make remixes. If anyone's got them please PM me. -
To anyone saying that Chester performed horribly, they don't understand what it is to be a singer let alone a stage performer. Mike sang very well for being a "newly appointed vocalist." The effect on his voice (NOT AUTOTUNE!) were stylistic I could tell, and not for pitch correction. Chester had the effect to, it was a flanger of some sort. I'm a producer, and you can recognize a flanger when you hear it. Listen to it in HD. Autotune is a pitch correction/note correction software. It is only used as an "EFFECT" usually by people like Kanye West or T-Pain. And some electronic bands like Breathe Carolina. The performance was tight. Not as tight as it will be later in the touring cycle, but who can realistically expect it to be studio quality off the bat? Chester is a powerful singer, and those notes and the song all in all is commanding. He delivered an acceptable, beyond average performance. A little pitchy, but it was raw and emotional. How a performance in my book should be. My rating? Solid B. Much better then most bands I see perform live. Their sound is unique and rich and it was executed well I believe. I look forward to the touring cycle and the progression of quality.

ATS to be featured in GH, DJ Hero, and others.

It's already confirmed that "Bleed it Out" is on Guitar Hero Warriors Of Rock. -
Risky. And to be quite honest, I love that. Chester is pushing his vocal range here and it shows. The lyrics seem very thought out and not overly cliche at the same time. The music is much different then anything before, and Mike/Chester singing together is a bit "new-age". But, hey Joe's scratching really brings me back to Hybrid Theory. Plus just the power behind Chester's voice there in the beginning of the clip. So many different elements going on it's insane. This is only 30 seconds of a 5 minute track and already there's many different genres and styles in it, I can't wait to hear the whole track.

My favorite live moment has to be, at Projekt Revolution 2007 in Detroit Michigan, where Chester talks about how amazing it is to see members of the Armed Forces and how proud he was. It showed a sensitive and patriotic side to the guys, and the performance was amazing that night. Let alone it was on myspace AND it was my first LP show.

JULIEN-K: "Dreamland" to become the 2nd Single

There's no game. Optimism helps situations and brightens moods, pessimism brings down moods and is depressing and annoying. No game, and this isn't an argument. And I don't get bothered by "oh man a new album would be cool, it sucks its taken this long". Yeah, I understand. I don't understand "Oh my god like I don't care Mike is doing that or DBS is holding up LP, OTHER BANDS TAKE SHORTER TIME AND THEY ARE BETTER" that's just complaining to hear yourself talk.
-
There's a difference between disagreeing, and repeatedly stating the obvious disagreements over and over, and complaining. So, nice indeed.

Here's some reality guys, I'm going to smack it into you complainers. Linkin Park don't have to do shit, they can quit and walk away and be done. They must like what they do and want to make it the best they can, so they do it at their own pace. Don't like it? Don't care. Sure they want to please the fans, without fans a band is nothing. But how can you when no matter what it's never good enough? Not all LP fans are like this, but a lot i'm seeing are. Sure some bands can come out with "Great" albums fast. Usually those bands write songs and have things completely ready when going into a studio, and don't have as many technological elements as Linkin Park. In terms of how they record, what they use instrument wise, and their sound. They explore every option in a song, have so many layers, and nailing those tones and effects takes a lot of time. Not to mention when it gets into the mixing/mastering phase it is a bitch to get all those layers correct. And plus, they have personal lives and want to do other things. Mike does art, Chester wrote other music, boo hoo that it's not good enough for you guys. Grow up. A short little silly video is fun, it's trying to connect on personal levels I'd say. You're not in the dark, they say probably what a label will let them say. Or maybe they don't want to divulge specifics because fanatics take it on every word and twist then later use it against them if things don't go exactly the way as planned. In music, and especially recording, NOTHING GOES AS PLANNED. When things are concrete, you find out. Speculation from a band on any aspect of what they do is bad. It's proved that way in LP's case especially. So point is? Move on! Wait for the CD if you want to hear it, go listen to some other music, play Halo, write a book, hell read a book if you want. Just don't come on here and expect that because you have an argument that Oh well this band did this, that other people are going to agree with you and join you in an angry mob or something. Life sucks doesn't it? But it doesn't have to, stop stressing over shit you can't control and let the professionals do what they know how to do. (I believe Hybrid Theory went Diamond right?)

Oh yes I won't stop till it's done! Let's get to work!

Yeah I know he uses those. And I just watched it quick so I was trying to listen to see if those were mikes vocals. I know he does those at a lot of shows, it just was cool seeing it on SNL.

About an hour ago on the all new episode of Saturday Night Live, Jay-Z performed a medley of some of his biggest hits. When 99 Problems came on, Jay-Z did one of the things he's been doing on his tours I believe. The second verse featured the guitar from Points of Authority. While Mike did not do the second part via backing track (AKA the part of the Police), there was pre-recorded backup dubs by Mike as far as I could hear. Video of the medley can be found here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TFvKnyR7-5E (99 Problems second verse starts around 3:47) Pretty cool I thought!
