  1. *twidles thumbs*...this is fun isn't it kids?
  2. Yeah, ok. But it is one song. And who knows what that means. Adding robotic synths doesn't mean a julien-k type song even.
  3. I love Julien-K, not because of Linkin Park but because I wa a fan of Orgy. To say that Julien-K sucks would be not true. They are well established pasts, played on Projekt Rev, sold out shows and have a big following. You may not like them, but they don't suck. I respect anyone's right to not like music. I don't like a lot of bands. But I don't just call them noise and say they suck. They are musicians doing what they love to do. It's art, and you can't just knock on them just because it's not your style. And to whomever said that you hope Linkin Park don't sound like Julien K on the next album because you saw heavy synthasizers...wow. Linkin Park have had synthasizers (heavy) since the beginning. I give you, Crawling's intro. Also Numb, In The End (uses synths), Reanimation, With You. Those are all synths. Julien-K guys are LP's friends. And that's cool. They were really good friends with Styles Of Beyond. People said Oh not a hip hop record! And we got minutes to midnight. so come on.
  4. ASTAT THANK YOU! Exactly (Almost) what I was going to say. "Best" Is such a weird word to use and is impossible to pinpoint exactly. Music is creative art. Expressive, and no one has the same take on it usually. Saying someone is the best is kinda pointless. Maybe to Linkin Park die-hards LP is the best. But I tell you what, Aerosmith fans, Led Zep fans, Metallica fans, etc all think they are the best too. It's a joke these contests. It's all just someones opinions. And if you go based on stats, it's true LP is not the "best ever". That's just based on album sales. But think about it, they have only been around a small ammount of years compared to the big guys, so the have no chance of being better right now. Another reason this contest sucks. I say, don't bash other people's opinions of music. Music is supposed to be opinionated, and no one is wrong for liking what they like. I myself have been a die-hard Linkin Park fan since 2000. But, I won't waste my time voting in this contest.
  5. I wasn't that big of a fan of this performance. Not to say it was God awful or anything, but it was by far a mediocore show. It was picked for a DVD obviously for where it was at, the size of the crowd, the Jay-Z stage sharing thingy, but as far as over all performance it wasn't that good. But, I do say a Blu-Ray version of an LP concert to me is worth it. Especially since I didn't completly hate Road To Revolutions show. I'll get this one. See what it's like. Is this mixed in 5.1? Oh, and does anybody know where I can get a HQ rip of the Projekt Rev show from Clarkston michigan from 07? The one that was streamed on myspace? I went to that show, and I only have seen low-quality rips on youtube. I'd love to have a high quality one for memories.
  6. I was saying, it's on his blog now. not that it's a news that he made a remix.
  7. As posted at MikeShinoda.com: "Julien-K just released their album "Death To Analog"...I did a remix of the title track. You can now find that remix in the music section here! http://www.mikeshinoda.com/music " It sounds amazing! You guys go listen to it! I bought my copy of the album.
  8. Don't forget Chester is in this video guys. You can see him clearly on the youtube video around 2:51. He's wearing makeup and a funny hat, but he's deff in it. This song is amazing. Julien K are a style that isn't explored by many people because of how hard it is to pull off and make it new and exciting, and they do it so well. I've loved them since the start, and I was a big Orgy fan back in the day so i've followed those guys before they were Julien-K/Linkin Park related. But still, if you like good music, listen to it. You WONT be dissapointed.
  9. Exactly. Guys every site has a responsibility. And you just gotta maintain a site in the laws. The photographs were copywritten by Photographers and even the label maybe. But who cares who is going after who. WRong was done and punishment is coming. They gave warnings so what is the problem here? Warner Brothers fucks up a lot but not all they do is pointless. Everybody is jumping on the fuck Warner bandwagon and not realizing the real things going on and the background story. To be honest all record labels are going to be going down soon. Just a fact. Not one inparticular and it's because none of them know how to change with the times. It's just how it is. Warner, Elektra, Reprise (part of Warner) Def Jam, Sony, etc etc are all going to shut down and keep losing money and laying off employees. Or realize the mass potential fansites/and online distribution has. People are going to share stuff for free and things like that online period. Is it right? No. But it's going to happen. All labels want to do is send "messages" by punishing whomever they can that provides the most press. It's a weird way of going about it, but thep erson being punished IS BREAKING THE LAW. So why are we mad at the company only? They are trying to protect their product. It's true. I work for a record label (I won't name it.) but even they are heading down a wrong path. I'm going to tell you all now that the music industry is going to change vastly. And it's going to become a much more indie world. It's bound to happen, I just hope it's soon.
  10. This was my first Linkin Park live show, and it will not be my last. Though others tend to say those exact words, you may find my reasoning just a tiddly bit different. I had gotten my tickets weeks before, and realized soon after that Myspace as broadcasting the show live online. Immediately, I was stoked. Not only was I buying the DSP, but also I knew my family in the Linkin Park Community would have a rip of the pro shot video. I knew I'd always have the memories. The day of the show started with a hectic morning. Thunderstorms galore. Here in Michigan, weather is extreme, and a versatile. I was getting together all of my promotional materials, (I work with Roadrunner Records, doing artist promotion at shows kind of like a street team. Madina Lake was on this tour, and so I was there to work for them as well.) When I got to the venue, I was hit with a wall of emotion. Thousands of Linkin Park fans cheering and running around inside the maze of a venue. It was the day I had been waiting for my entire life. I headed over to the second stage where I planned to watch Madina Lake. They were the first band I believe, so I went quickly. I went up to the security gate and flashed my second stage VIP pass to meet Madina, and met them that day for the first time. After their set, I was told it was Styles Of Beyonds turn. I loved them ever since pre-Fort Minor. And I was ready to see 'em in action. Moments later, as my girlfriend and I conversed backstage, Mike Shinoda and the guys of SOB were literally standing 5 feet away from me just chatting it up. I decided it was now or never to go up to the man that put me in music, so I went up and introduced myself. He was very kind. Asked if I wanted an autograph, if I was enjoying the show. Even invited me to the LPU meet and greet. (I was in the LPU for 2 years, but stopped the year I actually went to a show.) He signed my backstage pass and my ticket, and told me that if I ever see him again we need to come up with a code word so he'll remember me. I won't say that here, but it is definitely memorable. Here's me and Mike right before he went onstage to rock with SOB. http://viewmorepics.myspace.com/index.cfm?...mageID=15282333 Then, SOB finally came on. Amazing show. I remember the moment Mike told me he was going to go on stage with them, my soul fluttered. I was jamming along to my favorite SOB songs, and sooner or later I realized the entire crowd was not feeling them. I felt bad for the guys, seeing as they were a rap band at a rock show. But they were strong, sounding solid and I dug it. Sweet set. Skip forward to what we all had been waiting for. I had found my seat and was awaiting Linkin Park to hit the stage. MCR had just gotten done, and we were all in that "in between time" as we grabbed some snacks and our last minute red bulls. Then, the lights went out. We began to hear the intro, and seeing the silhouettes of the guys. My balls were now in my throat. I remember counting to three and hearing one step closer begin to blare out of the monitors. It was game time. Every single song sounded spot on almost. With the exception of a few new tracks from M2M where Chester seemed a little off key. Nobody is perfect. They played all of my favorite songs, and then some. With an amazing new POA intro with Dolla by FM. I was in heaven. Mike Shinoda rapped better than I had heard him rap in years, and Brad Deslon did not mess up one time on the guitar. It all was flowing together like a well oiled machine. I remember one line in particular that Chester said to us. It goes as follows "How you guys feeling otu there!" *Crowd roars* "well if you feel as good as you look you must be feeling fantastic." And mike even had to laugh at that. "Are you calling Detroit sexy Chester?" Mike asked him. And Chester's response was the killer. "I'm saying this may be one of the sexiest fucking shows I've ever played at" I will never forget that. Ever. Then the crowd pleaser near the end came on. It was time to chant along with bleed it out. the already high energy track was pushed up a notch. and the entire crowd was clapping and chanting along. This was the first time I heard Rob Bourdon do a drum solo. I was so impressed. he does not get much credit for his work as a drummer, but I tell you the entire audience that day no longer questions his talent. It was nice to see LP Give him some spotlight for a change. Then, it was time to smooth things down. With the little things give you away. Beautiful track performed gorgeously. Chester's vocals as well as strange hippie dancing really pulled this song together. I am a very political person and I agree with everything this song stands for, and I was behind it all the way. When it came time to end the show. I could think of no better way to end it. Faint was played and the entire band seemed to kick it up a notch. At that point I had never heard the new ending, so I was immediately blown away. Chester's power screams were delivered with a mighty low end/rhythm section being played graciously by Pheonix, and a powering palm mute driven power chord progression by Mr. Delson. The final scream let out, and the entire audience was speechless. Goodnight Detroit! We were all hit with the LP bomb, and I just hope we get attacked again soon.
  11. Ok, here we go, let's start the thread. The ultimate demo list. How many Demos are there people ask. When were they made? Let's compile a list here for everybody to reference when collecting. For us old collectors, and for the new ones to know what's out there! i'm not good with dates or anything, so let us wait until Mark gets in here to help out! I know there's like 26 demos I think? And I think we should also include all pre LP engagements. (grey daze albums)
  12. I'd like to also add the song Broken Glass - Linkin Park, is NOT BY LINKIN PARK ha. It's by a band called Blank Theory. Who is actually now (the two members) Madina Lake who was on tour with Linkin Park during Projekt Rev 07.
