That, along with nearly all of the live intros/outros LP uses, are original pieces of music that they record for that specific purpose. The only exceptions are Gacela of the Dark Death by Joan Baez being used as part of the intro in June-September of '04, Dead Skin Mask by Slayer being used as part of the intro on the Summer Sanitarium shows, and the Godzilla theme song being used as part of the intro at Summer Sonic '06.

Mark keeps in touch with him.

I'd almost guarantee that some SBD material from Sonisphere will wind up on the USB wristband, and it's possible that some material from non-DSP shows will wind up on the LPU9 CD. We're going to get recordings of all the different setlists now anyway, that's all I really cared about. Also, the announcement says you get a "collectible CD to burn the show to," does that mean there will be artwork printed on the discs now? That'd be pretty cool.

I've liked the logo ever since it appeared on the flyers for the July 4th show, but having it as the centerpiece on the album cover honestly makes it look like a Dark Side of the Moon ripoff.

I'm thinking Julien-K might be shooting a new video and that's what one of the two videos are. DTA could use another promotional push.
-
That's probably why there's a giant X through the setlist on the paper.

My Suffering, Give Me Your Name, Walking in Circles, and Let Down all stayed the same as well. The only confirmed title that wasn't found on that original tracklisting was Crawl Back In. I have a feeling that one may have been "Wall of Sound" or one of the other "working title-ish" sounding titles. I'd put money on one of the other 2 unknown tracks being "Hard Life." You've got a few of those titles wrong. "Mr. Suffering" = My Suffering "N^LU" = N2U "Hold Life" = Hard Life "Give Me Your Time" = Give Me Your Name I just love it when people take my earliest interpretation of something, post it on the Internet, and then completely ignore me when I attempt to correct myself on multiple occasions. This is the same bullshit that happened with the PR07 sets A, B, and C.

Dead By Sunrise - Post-Show 7/4/2009 LV
Astat replied to hahninator's topic in Previous Show Discussion
They either forgot about him or just figured everybody assumes there's a drummer in every band anyway. The DBS band lineup is all of Julien-K (with Brandon playing bass), plus Fu on keyboards, and Chester. That's been known for quite a while. -

They could still release it in late September and not have the release date announced yet. As long as they have 6-8 weeks of promotion time, that's enough. Another album I've been anticipating was just announced a few days ago, and it's coming out on September 15th, so it's still possible. -

Anybody know if the show wound up being broadcast on the big screens along the Las Vegas strip like they initially said would happen? -
Dead By Sunrise - First Show Of 2009
Astat replied to hahninator's topic in Previous Show Discussion
Chester said on his Twitter that they're playing 5 songs, 4 of which are on the album. Someone then asked him about Morning After, and he said that it won't be on the album, but they will be playing it live. -

Chester already confirmed that they're playing Morning After. -
Now it's back, along with the new entry he posted today, weird.

I don't remember, I can't find the article that mentioned it. I just know that it's the "break it down/turn it up" voice about 3/4ths of the way through the song. *Edit* And Mike's blog entry with the response to She Couldn't has disappeared for me in IE, still showing up in Firefox for now but it'll probably be completely gone soon. Not surprised, I'm sure he got chewed out by some high-level Warner exec for disclosing information about a song that they haven't had the opportunity to milk for a few bucks yet.

Dead By Sunrise - First Show Of 2009
Astat replied to hahninator's topic in Previous Show Discussion
I'm thinking it'll be Morning After, Let Down, Walking in Circles, Crawl Back In, and one other song (I'll throw out Into You/N2U as a guess). My Suffering seems like a bit too aggressive of a song to work in an acoustic format. -
No. There have been plenty of cases of LP-related songs having uncredited samples and it's never been a problem for them to talk about it in the past. Almost the entire instrumental portion of H! Vltg3 is ripped off from 'Family' by Lamont Dozier, 1stp Klosr uses a stock sound effect that's found in a bunch of movies, Kyur 4 th Ich has an uncredited sample from a Crystal Method song in it, none of the samples on We Major are credited, etc... I've been saying for years that Warner owns and controls everything Linkin Park creates, says, and does. If Warner doesn't want Linkin Park talking about something, they don't talk about it. If this song wasn't all over the Internet, Mike would probably deny that it even exists. This has something to do with it being an unreleased track and Warner likely having a universal gag order on unreleased material written into Linkin Park's contract.

Comparing the 8-track version to the others probably won't yield the greatest results since that version has so much static in it.
-
People have even guessed something involving it, but they need to think more..."outside the box."
-
You know it's a big exclusive when you're in on it and you're STILL excited.
-
A short clip of it, yes. I really wish the sites that keep posting it would specify that it's not the full song...

All Linkin Park related music videos list
Astat replied to SergSlim's topic in Everything Linkin Park
8. One Step Closer (Experiment version) - Which one is this? I've probably seen it and just don't remember. The MTV2 program with the Reanimation videos was called Playback, not Flashback. 7. Breaking The Habit (Studio version) - You could probably call this the "Kimo Proudfoot version" or something like that, it's less confusing (this is the one with rehearsal footage on the BTH DVD if anybody was wondering). Live In Texas: 1. Lying From You (Album audio) - I've seen the LFY video from Live in Texas numerous times on MTV/Fuse, and it always had the live audio. Also, you could add: Fort Minor - Remember the Name (Highlight Reel version). -
I found Ground Xero on a random Kazaa Lite search in early 2005. The filename was "Wakefield - Ground Xero.mp3." I thought it was a strange coincidence, so I downloaded it, but I figured it was probably a song by the band Wakefield and not Mark. Much to my surprise, Mark's voice is pretty unmistakable and furthermore, it sounds nothing like the band Wakefield. I've never been able to track down any concrete information about where it came from, who was in the band he recorded it with, when it was recorded, etc., but based purely on his voice and the fact that I've never been able to attribute it to any other artist, I've always believed it to be legitimate. For all we know, Mark could've thrown it up on a P2P network himself. I sent the mp3 to a few other people to get their opinions, they all thought the same as I did, and it eventually found its way to Nick/Mark/Taylor, who released it on Chestersings.

The "third voice" on this song that a couple of you have mentioned is a vocal sample from "B-Boy Document '99" by High & Mighty. That song is on the Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 2 soundtrack, I recognized it immediately. Hope the full song pops up at some point. Interesting that the winning bidder on the CD had -1 feedback, I wouldn't be surprised if the seller decides to deny the purchase and give it to the next highest bidder since they're dealing with that much money.
