When the band debuted 'Heavy' in full on The Late Late Show With James Corden (along with a performance of 'Invisible'), the whole fanbase was shouting: "Do a Carpool Karaoke!" As part of an expansion of the series in partnership with Apple Music, that became a reality: Linkin Park's carpool karaoke is now live! While the Carpool Karaoke series is typically an Apple Music exclusive, this episode is special. It was one of Chester's last endeavors with the band before his passing, and is definitely a bittersweet watch. That being said, it's a great reminder of the beautiful person Chester was and just how close the band was. The episode features Chester, Mike, and Joe singing along to a bunch of Linkin Park somgs with actor Ken Jeong as they drive around Los Angeles. You can watch the episode for free on Facebook or on Apple Music. It's great to be able to see these fun moments with Chester and the guys, especially since this episode may have very well not have come out. Corden said days following Chester's death that the decision would be up to Chester's family and bandmates whether or not to air it, and in the end they chose to share it with all of us. For those who don't know, Carpool Karaoke is a bit popularized on The Late Late Show With James Corden where Corden and an artist would drive around Los Angeles singing bands' hits and chatting while driving. Artists such as Chris Martin from Coldplay, the Foo Fighters, the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Adele and more have all done their own Carpool Karaoke episodes. It is now a series on Apple Music, with different celebrities driving around with different bands. What did you think of the episode? Bittersweet? Fun? Nostalgic? Let us know. Linkin Park's memorial show for Chester is quickly approaching - mark your calendars for October 27, as its gonna be a big one (the guest list is STILL piling up, with Zedd announcing yesterday that he will be playing drums on a song at the show)! Follow is on Twitter and like our Facebook page for all the updates on the band. Linkin Park is coming.

Great to see Mike is able to smile and joke around again
-
Another curveball - Zedd is joining the band and will play drums on a song. That's a HUGE name added to the bill in terms of popularity. Guess every one who we're thinking that'll join who hasn't already announced is still fair game. We can start piecing together some setlist stuff now I guess. Some are still uncertain but here's some things we can expect: M. Shadows & Synyster Gates: Guilty All The Same? Blink-182: Bleed It Out, Numb Kiiara: Heavy, Burn It Down? Ryan Key: What I've Done, Shadow Of The Day? Oliver Sykes: Faint? Machine Gun Kelly: Bleed It Out, Numb? Daron Malakian, Shavo Odadjian, & John Dolmayan: Rebellion? Jonathan Davis & Brian Welch: One Step Closer? Jon Green: Nobody Can Save Me Adrian Young & Tom Dumont: What I've Done, Numb Zedd: could be literally anything (probably a poppier single) and those we're thinking may also show up: Corey Taylor: From The Inside? Jared Leto: Crawling? Burn It Down? Hayley Williams: lots of options Steve Aoki: A Light That Never Comes, Darker Than Blood, the mashup of the two

Man there's a lot of delays on this one. Hope this is the last one.

With the Chester celebration show at the end of the month being one of the biggest gatherings of the band's hardcore fanbase ever, you better believe that LPLive will be there. We know a lot of you will be there, too - so let's all meetup! LPLive will be hosting a meetup outside the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles, California on October 27 starting at 4:00PM PST. If you're coming to the show, stop by and say hi! RSVP on our Facebook Event (not necessary, but why not?) and join the hundreds of others we're going to be meeting outside the venue. You'll be able to meet plenty of the staff and site members, like me, Mark (Hahninator), Nick (Sasstiel), Dmitry, Jen, Raquel (Numbrocker), and more! It's going to be a grand time, and we've love to meet you! Some things to note: you can start lining up at 3:30 PM PST, but the show is seated so there won't be much of a point waiting in line, so you can chill with us for a few hours before the show! If you don't have tickets to the show but happen to be in LA, feel free to stop by and say hey! We sadly can't get you into the show, but nonetheless it'd be great to see you. Who's coming? Be sure to follow us on Twitter and like our Facebook page if you can't come so you'll be able to see all the pictures and videos we take at the meetup and show. We can't wait to see you there and to have a great night.

I'm thinking about this video and just thinking of some possibilities: Granted, this was 7 years ago, but her voice is still very powerful. I can see her doing something any of these from the top of my head, and not choosing any songs that we know others will play: My December Pushing Me Away Somewhere I Belong Leave Out All The Rest Waiting For The End Lost In The Echo In My Remains Burn It Down Castle Of Glass Powerless Until It's Gone Final Masquerade Sharp Edges The way I see it, she would be great on any song that has a softer verse and an explosive, higher chorus (or in some cases, just a song with a big alternative chorus)

So in the past few weeks, Mike went to see Paramore and Imagine Dragons live (and it seems he talked with Hayley Williams). Yesterday he hung out with Pete Wentz from Fall Out Boy and Jared Leto at the Blade Runner 2049 premiere. Would be great to see some of these guys at the memorial event. Paramore finishes Tour Two on October 23, Jared isn't busy with 30STM and I'm pretty sure most of the rest of the year will be working on the band's new record. Fall Out Boy and Imagine Dragons are both touring then (hell, I'm seeing Imagine Dragons the day before I fly to LA lol) so they're out, but Hayley and Jared would be awesome to see with the band.

I can't help but wonder if production had anything to do with it. Perhaps if they had made their decision by September they would've been better off and have the time to get more rehearsals in that AREN'T in Mike's house and get a stage ready for them. I'm sure emotional issues have a lot to do with it but I feel like the production must've been a factor in this too. The fact that they were trying to make it work out shows that they're at least looking forward to start trying to play the shows. Mike went to Paramore and Imagine Dragons concerts recently, and with the show at the end of the month coming up I'm sure he and the rest of the band are still trying to get back into the swing of live performance. After the LA show perhaps they'll have a better idea of how to go forward on the live spectrum. I'm sure they'll start playing shows at some point in 2018.

The three shows Linkin Park were scheduled to play in Tokyo, Japan in November later this year have been officially cancelled today. Linkin Park just posted this message on their website: While it is unfortunate the shows are cancelled, it's not a huge surprise. The effects of losing Chester are still hitting hard, and the band should not rush into things. The band's show at the end of October will still be performed and will likely be the only show the band plays for the rest of 2017. Just because these shows are cancelled does not mean we should be disheartened about future live shows. The band has made it clear that they are will continue, and when the right time comes the band will return to the stage with a powerful and confident new show. We all have to keep on healing one day at a time, and we will reach that moment soon. There is no word on whether or not the shows will eventually be rescheduled, but you can expect the band will one day return to Japan when the time is right. Keep updated on Linkin Park news on our Twitter and Facebook page. Linkin Park will be performing with a plethora of guests on October 27 in Los Angeles, California, and we'll be giving you live updates from the show. Stay strong everyone. If you purchased tickets for the shows in Tokyo, you can seek out refund info here. Refunds will begin on October 5 at 10:00AM JST.

Oli Sykes is a horrible live singer though. We'll see how he does in October (I'm guessing he'll probably sing Faint or OSC). t's an awesome story for someone to become the lead singer of their favorite childhood band (i.e. Chester and STP), but you do have to take into account their actual ability as well.

A new, updated version of this has is now on all platforms.

Posted this on social media, but figured I should post it here: Do NOT buy resale/secondhand tickets for the Hollywood Bowl show. Most tickets will require you to present the card the originally purchased the tickets for entry. This is part of Ticketmaster's (admittedly not well planned out) new policy in order to counter scalpers. Make sure you check on the ticket policies for every concert or event you plan on buying resale tickets for, just in case. Read more about it here: http://www.digitalspy.com/music/news/a838556/foo-fighters-fans-london-o2-tickets-outrage/

From that it looks like he'll be joining them too. No idea why Korn didn't announce both of them at the same time, but hey. No complaints!
-
Well, on a brighter note... Jon Green from The Bonfires announced he'll be playing today. So that means 'Nobody Can Save Me' will probably be played and it also seems that there are more guests to be announced over the next few weeks!
-
You guys think there will be more announcements? I'm still banking on Corey Taylor and Jared Leto showing up to the show.
-
Damn so many announcements I can't keep up. Main post being updated now!
-
Updating it all in the main post.
-
Avenged Sevenfold (M. Shadows & Synyster Gates) and Blink-182 confirmed to be performing with the band. EDIT: Also Kiiara!
-
I have that. I'm pretty sure it's only because of the credit card thing.
-
Who am I seeing in LA? Got my tickets in the Group 1 presale (real stressful, Ticketmaster's a disaster still), in Section J1. Let's jam!
-
Got my presale code as well. Group 1, thank god considering I bought 5 tickets for the NA Tour. None of the "we're going to text you the code" bullshit either!
-
Just got home and watched it... I'm devastated. Already been sad about other things today, and seeing Chester just makes me realize that my mind just hasn't fully accepted he's gone. Incredibly video. Simple but so very, very effective. Rest in peace, my hero.

Gonna do my best to be there. If I go I'll try to stream it on the LPL Facebook like I did w/ the subway show earlier this year.

The last few months have been a long and winding road for the world of music, and even more so for the Linkin Park world. We've all been recovering slowly over the last few months, both fans and the band members alike, and it seems the time has come to continue moving forward. Linkin Park have announced a tribute show and memorial for Chester in Los Angeles, California on October 27, 2017. We've known this memorial was happening for awhile now, after the band posted an update at the end of August, which read: "We are working on a special public event in Los Angeles to honor Chester's memory..." The event will be held at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles. We're unsure exactly what the event entails, but it seems that the band will be performing. We don't know if it'll just be the five of them or if they'll have some special guests perform with them, but what we do know is that it'll be an emotional scene all the same. "Linkin Park announce a special show in honor of Chester. The one-night-only celebration will take place in Los Angeles at the legendary Hollywood Bowl on Friday, October 27, 2017. The band will be joined by a number of other artists, for an unforgettable night of music to honor the man that touched the lives of so many around the world." Pre-sale for the tribute show will be through the LPU and start soon. Let us know if you'll be going! For more updates on this event and Linkin Park's future, follow us on Twitter and Facebook. If you're still having trouble getting through the loss, be sure to join the LPLive Help Line Discord chat - we'll do our best to make you feel comfortable! Time stops for no one, and we all know that Chester wouldn't want us stopping our lives. It's time for a new era. We hope you'll join us for the journey. Check out Linkin Park's 2017 touring schedule here.

It was only recently revealed that 'One More Light' will be released as a single on October 2nd and 3rd, but the band has decided to launch the music video today! The brand new video is directed by Joe Hahn and Mark Fiore, and is an emotional tribute to Chester. 'One More Light' made it to the airwaves in the days following Chester's passing and managed to do remarkably well on the charts, so this nice gesture to him works on all ends. Linkin Park seems to be gearing up for their triumphant comeback, and we'll keep you updated on everything. Follow us on Twitter and Facebook for updates.
