  1. Brad recently did an interview with Billboard talking about the new album, and dropped some particularly interesting information. He began the interview expressing his thankfulness to the fans for the success of One More Light, talking about the album's #1 debut and more: He continued on to talk about the album writing process, and said something interesting: That could mean a number of things. The first thing to spring to mind: b-sides! We haven't gotten a proper b-side from the band since A Thousand Suns with 'Blackbirds,' and some of the band's most beloved songs happen to be b-sides, like 'No Roads Left' and 'Across The Line' from Minutes To Midnight. This could also mean that the band will revisit some of the material they wrote for this record on the next one. It's not unheard of; plenty of songs were finished in other album cycles. 'A Line In The Sand' was originally 'Odyssey' when it was written during the A Thousand Suns cycle, and we are all familiar with 'Primo' from A Thousand Suns that eventually became 'I'll Be Gone' on Living Things. Linkin Park often go back in their arsenal to pluck some seeds and work them into actual songs, so perhaps we'll see this happen with the One More Light tracks. We'll have to wait and find out! It's been far too long since we've gotten a proper b-side from the band, and this sounds like the perfect opportunity. Be sure to read the entire article, there's lots of good stuff in it. Follow us on Twitter and Facebook for any news regarding new music.
  2. It is literally in the setlist of which you posted a picture of
  3. All that's left is Sorry For Now and Halfway Right, and I think it'll be crime if neither of them get played (especially SFN)
  4. As many of you probably remember, the band's first full band appearance of the cycle was when they performed 'Heavy' with Kiiara back in February on The Late Late Show With James Corden. Along with 'Heavy,' the band performed 'Invisible' (after getting off to a bumpy start with it), too. That performance will be airing tonight! Be sure to tune in live to watch it at 12:37 EST (9:37 EST) on CBS. The performance will likely air at the end of the show, so you can probably tune in in the last 10 minutes to catch it if you don't want to watch the whole thing Follow us on Twitter and Facebook for updates, and add us on Snapchat, too! We'll post some videos of the show there if you can't catch it.
  5. Like Mark said, full setlist isn't out yet, so we don't know what to even complain about yet. And if you're going to complain, make knowledgable, constructive complaints instead of something foolish like this. Read the setlist notes. First OML was an acapella intro to the show, the second was a full performance. and it's such an emotional and powerful song, I'm sure no one will care that much about it being played twice anyway. I will say it's not the ideal opening to the show but you're blowing up about it in the wrong ways. God forbid they drop older tracks to promote the album they're currently touring in support for. Shame on them, you're right. (This isn't 2007. They can do whatever the hell they want.) I have no recollection of Mike ever saying that, either. And in case you didn't notice, on top of all that, they didn't. Yeah, the lead single of the new album they are touring in the encore is a silly move. Riiiiight. Chester absolutely nails this song live, but given your attitude you probably haven't paid much attention to that (also considering it's been this way since May?) 'Somewhere I Belong' was dropped and replaced with 'Points Of Authority,' and also this is the second set. Hell, there'll probably be a third set with another older song in that slot for the North American Tour. It clearly wasn't dropped for any of the new songs; they dropped a new song to make room for another one, in fact. SIB has run its course, too... if its your favorite song, sure, its a bummer, but much like in 2014 they'll probably rotate the song. Calm yourself. As said before: God forbid they play more tracks to promote the album they're currently touring in support for. Honestly, what do you think this is? A lot of comments have been posted lately that are just pure asinine, and we've been responding to them as you've probably noticed, too. Coming into conversations without any constructive criticisms that clearly show you have no idea what you're talking about is just silly. What happened?
  6. Ever wanted to be Linkin Park? Probably just so you could add 'A Place For My Head' into the set. Come on, we know you. Don't lie. Well, you won't be able to make any executive setlist decisions, but you will soon be able to experience what it's like to be part of the band onstage while they perform! Spatialand and Intel are partnering with Linkin Park to bring a unique concert experience where YOU are the performer. The new app, Linkin Park VR Destination, will launch next month on July 27 via the Spatialand app. It will be compatible with the Oculus Rift and HTC Vive and bring a lot of content, including music, exclusive merch, special contests, the ability to unlock secret fan experiences created by the band, and more. It is unknown if the launch will have anything to do with the North American Tour this summer (as the article specifically points out that tour starts on the same day the experience launches), but as we find out more we'll keep you updated. Follow us on Twitter and Facebook for more info, and add us on Snapchat as well. November update: Mike and Joe visited ComplexCon, and did an Intel virtual reality "Linkin Park" demo. You can see footage from the Making of One More Light included. There is currently no information on whether the Making of OML will be released or not, or if the Intel VR experience will be made available for fans.
  7. Linkin Park are back where they love to be the most (if the 2014 European Tour didn't prove that, nothing will): Germany! The band are performing their first headlining show of the One More Light European Tour today, June 12, at the Mercedes-Benz Arena in Berlin, Germany. Linkin Park has performed in Berlin a whopping 11 times, one of which have been this year already, when the band performed 'Heavy' with Kiiara at the ECHO Awards back in April. The last time they played a full show in Berlin was back in 2015, near the end of the final leg of The Hunting Party World Tour. Lots of good stuff in the set in 2015: 'A Line In The Sand' and 'Rebellion' sounding loud and proud off the new record, 'From The Inside' made a return, and Mike was still on the heels of 'Welcome.' Mike even played a Fort Minor show there the day before Linkin Park played, adding a new version of 'High Voltage' into the setlist. The band performed there on the 2014 European Tour as well, filming the show for a release that never ended up happening (likely in part thanks to the audio problems that occurred during the first few songs). Bounce back to 2012, to the band's Telekom Street Gigs show in Berlin (that was released!) and find performances of 'With You' and 'Runaway' that were brought back after years as well as Living Things songs like 'Lies Greed Misery' and 'Burn It Down.' A show in Berlin kicked off the second leg of the A Thousand Suns World Tour in 2010, tracks like 'When They Come For Me' and 'Waiting For The End' still fresh off the burner. The band brought Projekt Revolution to Berlin in 2008, and opened up their second encore with the massive 'A Place For My Head.' 2007 was a legendary show, as it was the first show of the Minutes To Midnight cycle, and so it featured the live debuts of 'No More Sorrow,' 'Given Up,' and 'What I've Done,' giving fans the first taste of the heavier side of the record. A mashup of Fort Minor's 'There They Go' and 'Faint' was played so that a fan could play guitar on 'Faint,' as he wouldn't know the extended outro the band added to the song (that is now a staple part of every show). The band had to make up a show in Berlin in September 2003, as the original show scheduled for that June was cancelled after Chester was hospitalized due to severe back pain. The band's first show ever in Berlin was played when they were opening for the Deftones on their 'Back To School' Tour in March 2001, playing songs like 'By Myself' and 'Forgotten' as Hybrid Theory was taking the world by storm. The band came back again later that year for their own headlining show, starting the tour there after the previous show in Hamburg was cancelled out of respect for the September 11 attacks that occurred in America. 'Step Up' saw its live debut at this show, and Chester sang part of the 'A Place For My Head' demo 'Esaul' during the song. Talk about making a mark on history. One of the most unforgettable videos in Linkin Park's history is this video of 'No More Sorrow' from Berlin 2007. No cameras were allowed at that show, so when this clip of a never-before heard - not to mention heavy as hell - song surfaced, it through the fanbase into a frenzy. This show definitely has potential to make a mark on Linkin Park's history, too. The band has gotten their European Tour off to a running start, playing festival shows at Download Paris in France and visiting the Czech Republic for the first time in 9 years for the Aerodrome Festival yesterday. This is the band's first headlining show of the tour, so it's not unreasonable to expect something different. Both previous shows featured the same setlist, 'Talking To Myself' opening to show after the 'Fallout' and 'Roads Untraveled' mashup intro. Lots of One More Light songs feature in this set - 6, to be exact. That includes all the singles like 'Invisible' and 'Good Goodbye,' as well as the powerful title track 'One More Light.' Mike dedicated 'One More Light' to his uncle Kenji who had recently passed away, giving the song an extra personal touch. Chester has been giving it his all at these shows, really letting his emotions run - the acapella outro of 'Breaking The Habit' has been a particularly powerful moment of the set, too. What to expect from this show isn't completely clear. On one hand, it won't be very surprising to see the same set performed again, perhaps with one or two additions or changes ('Fallout' into 'The Catalyst' would be an obvious one). On the other, there has been a lot of promise for this show from a number of sources, including the band themselves. Chester claimed that the band rehearsed 'Sharp Edges' in a tweet, while Mike posted about him practicing a new song on Instagram. No additions were made to the set the band has been playing, so perhaps they've prepared something new for Berlin and the following headlining shows. Additionally, a close friend of the band, Warner Bros Records executive Tobias Fance has said there will be some surprises in the band's set in Berlin. It's not unheard of for the band to do something like this; in 2012, the band had two distinct setlists: one for headlining shows with songs like 'Blackout' and 'Tinfoil,' and another for festival shows, which featured 'A Place For My Head' opening. Prague really brought their all for the band, too. Check out 'Breaking The Habit' from the Aerodrome Festival yesterday, absolutely everyone getting into it, especially during the ending. Opening for the band at this show will be Machine Gun Kelly, who will open up for the band later this summer during their North American Tour. He's fresh off the heels of his new record Bloom (check out my review of it if you need an idea of what it's like - but don't expect too much out of it), performing songs off of it like single 'Trap Paris' and 'Bad Things.' He's also performing a cover of Blink-182's (who will also be playing some shows with the band this summer) 'All The Small Things.' It's possible an onstage collaboration happens, too: at the band's surprise Warped Tour performance in 2014, MGK came out and rapped part of his song 'What I Do' over the bridge of 'Bleed It Out.' Perhaps we'll see something similar to that happen at this show! Watch Machine Gun Kelly drop a verse of his song 'What I Do' over the bridge of 'Bleed It Out' back in 2014. It's pretty likely we see a collaboration happen at some point this summer - will it be similar to this? Is anyone heading to the show? The band has two more shows in Germany later this month, at the Hurricane and Southside festivals. Hurricane is usually webcast, so hopefully we'll be able to watch the band from home at that show! As far as headlining shows go, the next one will be in Amsterdam on June 20, and after that comes four shows in the UK to end the tour off in July. On the site, be sure to check out our new Grey Daze exclusive featuring live footage from 1997 of a song called 'Drag' ahead of the band's reunion this fall. For updates on the show, follow us on Twitter and Facebook, and be sure to add us on Snapchat for some cool stuff, too. Check out the rest of Linkin Park's 2017 touring schedule here.
  8. Well this won't be a contest Nobody Can Save Me
  9. The One More Light European Tour is a go, and it's taken off running! After a successful first show in Paris, France for Download Paris, Linkin Park is continuing their festival circuit in Europe in the Czech Republic, performing at the Aerodrome Festival in Prague on June 11. For fans in the Czech Republic, this is big news. This is only the band's third show there, their last one being Brno in 2008, an epic set featuring a rare performance of Xero's 'Reading My Eyes,' as well as other goodies like 'The Little Things Give You Away,' 'From The Inside,' and 'No More Sorrow.' They played Prague in June 2007 at the start of the Minutes To Midnight touring cycle, playing songs like 'Leave Out All The Rest' and 'What I've Done' that were still fresh at the time. Thirty Seconds To Mars opened for the band at this show, seven years before the Carnivores Tour happened! Their first show in the country was in 2003, with Meteora songs like 'Figure.09' and 'Don't Stay' still going fresh in the set. This show was actually a make up show, the show earlier in the year in June being cancelled due to Chester being hospitalized due to severe back pain. Another fun fact: this is the band's first time playing the Aerodrome Festival. They were apparently set to play an Aerodrome Festival in Austria in 2004, though this festival was completely unrelated to the one the band will be playing today and ended up being cancelled before the band announced their performance. A rare and epic performance of 'Reading My Eyes' in Brno 2008. It would be great if we ever saw this song performed again. The band kicked off their tour yesterday in Paris, France, performing at Download Paris for the first time. They performed the same set they were playing in South America earlier this year, though they played the headline variation of it instead of the shortened festival version. This set features a whopping SIX new songs from the new record, including 'Battle Symphony,' 'Invisible,' and 'Heavy.' It opens with the haunting start of the 'Roads Untraveled' and 'Fallout' mashup into the energetic sounds of 'Talking To Myself' (though Mike seemed to mess up the keyboard part during the first verse at this show) before rolling into some big tracks like 'The Catalyst' and 'One Step Closer' with an epic intro similar to the one from 2007. No changes were made to this set, but there's still hope. It seems unlikely that the band will change up the setlist for this show, but there's always a possibility. Chester confirmed the band has rehearsed 'Sharp Edges,' and Mike also said he was rehearsing a new song for the set. None of those are in the current set, so perhaps we should keep our eyes and ears open for the headlining shows. The band has several headlining shows set up, the first being in Berlin, Germany the day after the show. It could be like in 2012, where the band had a headlining setlist and a festival setlist that were very different from each other. A close friend of the band, Tobias Fance, also said that Berlin will have some surprises. All we can do now is wait and see! Production levels have exploded for this tour. Check out the crazy lights for 'One Step Closer' in Paris. There's quite a lineup for this show. Going on before Linkin Park is Simple Plan, who are currently touring for the 15th Anniversary of their album No Pads, No Helmets... Just Balls. This is a festival, and they don't seem to be performing the full record at festival shows, but you can expect several songs from that album as well as hits like 'Boom' and 'Perfect.' Before them will be Machine Gun Kelly, who will also open for Linkin Park in Berlin and on their North American Tour this summer. He is currently touring in support of his new album, Bloom (I did a review of the album here if you need an opinion... don't expect to be impressed with the record, though). Enter Shikari goes on before them, and they're on the heels of a brand new record as well, with their newest song 'Redshift' in the setlist. Who's going to the show? As mentioned before, the next show will be a headlining show in Berlin, Germany on June 12. For updates on the show, be sure to follow us on Twitter and Facebook, and add us on Snapchat too. Check out the rest of Linkin Park's 2017 touring schedule here.
  10. "asinine - extremely stupid or foolish." ~ Dictionary.com This certainly sums up a lot of the comments being made in this thread right now...
  11. I don't hear anything that sounds remotely like booing in this.
  12. Moved this to Live Talk because it's not really news. Best thing to do is wait, I guess. We shouldn't have to sell our organs for enough money to buy rehearsal footage. If we never get it, yeah, it's shame, but who knows what else may pop up in the future. This year alone we found two Xero tracks and a Mike Shinoda track we have never heard about, so there will definitely be more surprising things in the future.
  13. This is dumb Nobody Can Save Me
  14. We can see you've posted a submission. Stop reposting the same information again and again because we haven't gotten to it. Our lives aren't just LPLive. Stop acting like the world revolves around you and that your submissions anywhere or everywhere are of utmost importance. We will get to it eventually. Just be patient. EDIT: For everyone asking about the live sections, they will be updated after a bigger tour ends, so probably around the end of the current European Tour. Updating them day by day would be tedious and doesn't work out objectively.
  15. Y'all voting for SFN are insane... I know Nick's reasonings are already corrupt Nobody Can Save Me.
  16. How the fuck are y'all voting SFN, you're crazy Nobody Can Save Me
  17. One More Light is officially out, Linkin Park has performed to hundreds of thousands at a short South American Tour in May, the band has done plenty of promo, and they've been rehearsing for about a week. And you better believe that we're only just warming up. Linkin Park is back and ready for action! The band is kicking off their massive One More Light European Tour on June 9 in Brétigny-sur-Orge, France for Download Paris. This'll be the first time the band headlines the new festival. We're all familiar with Linkin Park at England's Download festival - the site where in 2014 the band performed Hybrid Theory in full. This festival is taking place at the same time its UK counterpart is, which boasts System Of A Down, Biffy Clyro, and Aerosmith as headliners. Brétigny-sur-Orge is just south of Paris, a city that Linkin Park has treated very well over the years. Mike and Chester visited Paris earlier this year in March for some One More Light promo, where they performed a series of stripped-down tracks. They even played 'Battle Symphony' for the first time ever! The last full show the band performed was in November 2014 during The Hunting Party European Tour. A strong show indeed, the band performed plenty of fresh tracks from The Hunting Party like 'Guilty All The Same' and 'Final Masquerade' amongst others. The live debut of 'Battle Symphony' from earlier this year at the promo event in Paris. The band are playing it full ban now, so don't expect to hear this version! Paris has had some very epic moments that are hailed as legendary in the live community, though. This is the twelfth time the band is performing there, so it's no surprise that they've had some awesome shows there. The band's show in 2010 featured what is perhaps one of the most acclaimed moments in the band's live career: an impromptu performance of 'A Place For My Head' for the 10th anniversary of Hybrid Theory was played at this show. Not only was this the only full performance of the song on the A Thousand Suns touring cycle, but it was also a defining performance of the song. We like to use the term "exploded" to describe just how awesome some performances can be, but this performance pretty much defined that term. You don't see something as massive as this performance very often. Mike on the barrier with the crowd, Chester roaring the bridge, Brad's iconic riff sending chills down everyone's spine... it truly is a defining moment for the band's live career (which is also why we really need to see this song back in the set - and not as a bonus inclusion during the 'Castle Of Glass' Experience outro). Other cool moments from the past in Paris: the band played their very first show in Europe in 2001 in Paris and they added 'Step Up' into the set later that same year. In 2008, the band performed in Paris as well, bringing out 'A Place For My Head' and a rare performance of 'In Between.' Just. Disgusting. This mental performance of 'A Place For My Head' from Paris 2010 truly redefined what it means for this band to jam. From what we can tell, the band's legacy in Paris is going to continue at this show. More than half of One More Light has already been performed live at shows: 'Heavy,' 'Good Goodbye,' 'Battle Symphony,' 'Invisible,' 'Talking To Myself,' and 'One More Light.' On top of that, it looks like the band is adding another new song to the setlist! Chester has all but confirmed that 'Sharp Edges' has at least been rehearsed, after correcting the official Linkin Park Twitter on what song he was playing in this picture (turns out he'll be playing guitar on 'Sharp Edges'). Additionally, it looks like another new song is coming to the set, though we're less certain about which song this'll be. Mike posted on Instagram that he is rehearsing a new song that has him playing the keyboard while singing live, something which he didn't do in the studio. There's not much place for keys on 'Sharp Edges,' so its definitely possible it's a completely different song. Based on the picture, we guessed he was playing 'Sorry For Now...' but he ended up shutting that down by downright commenting it's not that song. The photo isn't guaranteed to be a photo of him playing the song (it's most likely him playing 'Heavy'), so we've pretty much gathered all we can about that. This is a mystery we might not be solving until show time. Or not. With all the new songs and the amount of rehearsing the band has done, distinct rotating sets might be making a comeback. There will definitely be a "Festival" set and a "Headline" set, just like there was in South America earlier this year (the "Festival" version of the set was shorter, omitting 'Waiting For The End,' 'Invisible,' and 'One More Light,' and also featured an intro of 'Fallout' into 'The Catalyst' rather than 'Fallout' and 'Talking To Myself,' which is what opens the headline set), but it's becoming more and more likely that there will be two different setlists. This was the case in 2012 - the festival set was much different for the European Summer Tour that year, opening with 'A Place For My Head' and featured 'From The Inside,' while the headlining set featured 'Blackout' and an opening of 'Tinfoil' followed by 'Faint,' among other differences. With the sheer amount of songs the band seem to be performing this cycle from the new album alone, rotating setlists might be a key to keeping shows interesting every night and playing as much as the album as they can live (which has evidently been a problem for past records). Of course, if the band doesn't change up the setlists, we don't have many complaints - they have a pretty great one already built, and it's still pretty fresh. The high-energy opening may seem like a bit of a clusterfuck, with 'The Catalyst,' 'Wastelands,' 'Talking To Myself,' and 'Burn It Down' all featuring as the first few songs in some order, but it really gets the energy going. Other treats (in the headline set, at least) include the brand new intro to 'Waiting For The End' which features a mashup of 'Remember The Name' and elements from the song, the powerful slow section with the stripped down 'Crawling' and the beautiful 'One More Light' (which hasn't left a dry eye in the room ever since the performance dedicated to Chris Cornell at Jimmy Kimmel Live). And no one has ever complained about what is arguably the centerpiece of the entire set: the new live version of 'Leave Out All The Rest.' Talk about epic. No matter how many times you watch this performance of 'One More Light,' your bound to feel at least a little emotional. The band really set a new standard for emotion here. If you're in France and catch the show, don't fret - the band will be back sooner than later. Sooner than you think, in fact; the band headlines the Hellfest in Clisson on the 18th - the first time the band has performed two shows in France since 2008. Tickets might still be hard to come by even then, but you can definitely be sure the band will come back to Paris again before long. Perhaps not in 2017, but maybe the band will hit up Europe again in 2018. They seem eager to be back on the road after being pent up in the studio for so long; this tour is one of the longest tours the band has done in Europe in years (it matches the length of the Minutes To Midnight Summer European Tour in 2008, which held the record until now). A massive North American Tour is coming this summer, with Asia coming into play in November (though as things draw nearer... where are more dates? Only three shows in Japan have been announced thus far). There's already some stuff going on in France that'll be fun. Mike and Mark Hoppus from Blink-182 did a keynote address at the midem music conference in Cannes today, talking about new music and even making a beat. You can check that out here - the music making happens around the four minute mark, but don't miss the fun discussions they have during the event. Blink-182 is performing at the festival before Linkin Park, so maybe we'll see this performed live! Kidding. Maybe. You never know with Mike Shinoda in charge, this man had the idea to mashup 'Fallout' and 'Roads Untraveled' as an intro this year. He can do anything. Blink-182 has been touring extensively for the past year in support of their newest record California, which came out last July. They just released the deluxe edition of the album, featuring 10 new tracks. They're starting their new European leg at this show too, so we're not 100% sure what they'll play, but recent setlists show that classics like 'All The Small Things' and 'I Miss You' will likely be in the mix. Linkin Park and Blink-182 are playing two shows together this summer in Hershey, Pennsylvania and Flushing, New York as part of their "Welcome To Blinkin Park" events - let's hope this is just a welcoming, and that more is to come! Also performing are Pierce The Veil and Norwegian heavy metalers Kvelertak. Watch Blink-182's Travis Barker duke it out on the drums during 'Bleed It Out' with the band during the 2014 Concert For The Philippines show. Will we see more collaborations happen between the bands soon? Who's going to the show? Unfortunately there will not be a livestream, but we will keep you updated on the setlist and potential Periscope streams on our social media - be sure to follow us on Twitter and Facebook for updates. We're also on Snapchat now, so add us there for treats. After this show, the band heads to the Czech Republic for their first show there since 2008 for the Aerodrome Festival on the 11th before playing a headlining show at the Mercedes-Benz Arena in Berlin on the 12th. Check out the rest of Linkin Park's 2017 touring schedule here.

  19. A bit of a different post, but times are changing, and we gotta keep up with them. We're now on Snapchat! We'll be updating it with fun stuff from time to time, and we even have some cool ideas that'll give YOU the chance to take it over! Our Snapchat is lplive - you can add us by taking a Snapchat picture of this image or adding us by username. For now, we'll keep things simple by posting updates on occasion when there's a show or when some big news is up, but we'll be working things out for shows in the future. Mark (Hahninator) recently took over the Muse Fans USA Snapchat and posted videos from the Muse shows he went to in Florida and Nashville... if that sounds like something you guys think would be cool, let us know! Maybe you can take it over for an upcoming show. Be sure to add Linkin Park on Snapchat too! Their Snapchat is linkinparklive (stepping on our parade a little bit there, hmm?). Also follow our other social media accounts on Twitter and Facebook, as well.
  20. Making a Good Goodbye pun is too easy, so I won't this time.
  21. This is gonna be a hard one, since I love every track on the album. Halfway Right doesn't win, but it'll lose. that was bad.
  22. Bump: Chester will be on the live recordings of 'Palm Springs Reset' and 'I'll Try Not To Destroy You' on the third CD. Source: http://linkinparkbr.com/noticias/2017/06/02/chester-estara-presente-no-novo-lancamento-do-julien-k/
