  1. Last Friday, indie-folk trio Distant Cousins will released a new holiday single called 'My Eight Favorite Nights.' The song was written by Linkin Park's guitarist Brad Delson and Landon Pigg, a name you might remember from their previous collaboration 'When The Seasons Call.' Distant Cousins singer Dov Rosenblatt said about the song: “This song is its own little Hanukkah miracle for us. We were thrilled when Brad, who we’ve been fans of for years, approached us about this collaboration for us to record his beautiful Hanukkah song he co-wrote with Landon. We recorded it the next day and we’re so excited about how it all came together so organically. In a time when light is needed more than ever, we’re honored to be a part of this.” Amplify Music Magazine reports that the song was featured in a Hallmark Channel film about Hanukkah called “Hanukkah on Rye” that premiered this Sunday, December 18th.
  2. He released a music video for the song:
  3. The first release of 2023 has been scheduled! 'Voltage' by Cam Archer is coming on January 10th. The song was produced live on Twitch by Mike Shinoda on January 19 and 20 of 2021 as part of his #ShinodaProduceMe program. Watch the process below:
  4. It's a different Boon. This one is younger. I think he is a solo artist. His name is Edison Boon Eason. The other Boonn (with two "N"s), the one on Running From My Shadow, is part of Grandson's band. His real name is Kevin Hissink.
  5. Back in March we reported that singer/rapper Justus Bennetts had posted a preview of an unreleased song he did with Mike Shinoda called 'Everything Is Nothing'. The full song is now officially available on all digital music platforms. The track was co-written and co-produced by Mike Shinoda with songwriters Pat Linehan and Remy Gautreau. Bennetts said about the song: "2 years ago i dropped out off community college i had no idea what i wanted to do with my life i bounced around from job to job till i finally lost it i discovered that there's nothing in this world that truly matters more than your own sanity and i bottled up that feeling and put a little bit into this song you're listening too" A second collaboration between Justus Bennetts and Mike Shinoda titled 'Choosing Violence' has been registered on BMI. The song was written in collaboration with young artist Boon and songwriter Jesse Fink (who also co-wrote Renforshort's 'I Drive Me Mad'). In November 2021, Boon shared a short video from the vocal booth in Mike's studio and Bennetts was seen beside him while the song is played. Watch it here. 6. Mike himself didn't think the 20th anniversary of Hybrid Theory was a big deal and had to be convinced by the management / label to do the box set. When they finally did, they all underestimated how many it would sell. Same thing happened with the remix project, someone from the label came up with the idea but Mike didn't want to do it at first: https://linkinpedia.com/index.php?title=List_Of_Unreleased_Songs#Hybrid_Theory_20th_Anniversary_Remixes This is why I'm not hopeful about a Meteora 20th anniversary edition next year. There seems to be no interest from Linkin Park themselves.

  8. Bad news about this one: according to Cheapshot, it has never been licensed to any project and never released anywhere. The good news for Styles Of Beyond fans is that a new version of Winnetka Exit has been recorded for the AppleTV+ series Loot with new vocal takes by both Ryu and Tak.
  9. I think you're talking about a different NFT: https://twitter.com/ZigguratsNFT/status/1582169567899529216

  11. Pretty cool. I wonder where it came from. The first one is a cropped image while the second one had its colors changed. I wish people stopped editing photos like this before sharing.
  12. You can't. I checked the code and it's not there anymore. Ryu asked fans not to share those songs anyway.
  13. The player was removed from the page but was still in the source code. Had links to various other songs.
  14. Los Angeles rapper and singer Sueco (real name William Henry Schultz, also known as Sueco The Child) has released today, September 16th, the deluxe edition of his latest album "It Was Fun While It Lasted." Originally a 12-track album, this new edition presents 9 additional tracks, amounting to a total of 21 tracks. Among them is a collaboration with Mike Shinoda titled 'Up In Smoke.' Mike is credited as a co-producer and co-writer on the song with Warner Chappell songwriter and producer Colin Brittain. They were seen working together back in July. Listen to the result below.

  16. In February this year the mysterious French DJ Malaa from the Pardon My French collective released on his SoundCloud page a remix of Linkin Park's multi-platinum hit 'In The End.' Yesterday he announced through social media the track has now been picked up by the band for an official release through Warner Records which is happening this next Friday, September 9. The release is dubbed as 'In The End (2022 Remix).' It's currently unknown if any changes were made to the remix for the official release. You can listen to the version released in February in the video below.
  17. Hm... I guess we never made a news post for it but I remember sharing the song on social media when it came out: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DupPvgiVUcE https://linkinpedia.com/index.php?title=Let_You_Go Same. I remember it being posted on Reddit as well but I can't find it either. I think it was discovered around the time Let You Go came out. It's still unreleased as far as I know. https://linkinpedia.com/index.php?title=List_Of_Songs_By_Side_Projects#Collaboration
  18. A few of these were either discussed here in the forums or already have entries on Linkinpedia. The Greg Delson one is interesting because he and Brad worked on another song several years ago for a project that never came out. Nice find. https://linkinpedia.com/index.php?title=Willing_To_Try Choosing Violence is new to me as well. Again, they had actually worked on another song together that never came out: https://lplive.net/forums/topic/14750-mike-shinoda-x-justus-bennetts/

  20. No, that was just a mistake because they played in Japan in 2005 and there's an interview with footage of Enth E Nd. We thought it was from 2006.
  21. Wow, that's interesting. Nice find. That's basically the Australia and New Zealand Tour setlist without Enth E Nd. She Wants To Move is a N.E.R.D. song. Black Violin always did a solo where they played a medley of popular hip-hop songs. Here are a few of them: https://lplive.net/forums/topic/7380-quick-question-ask-here/?do=findComment&comment=295526 Also Yeah! by Usher: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LIX2-DITVaA Apparently She Wants To Move might be one of them.
  22. It's crazy how that collaboration managed to attract so much hate from both communities. Contrary to Grey Daze, they didn't even do anything to incite that reaction. They were just a group of nice guys who got along well trying to play the music they loved while staying respectful to their fans. Sad how it all went down, specially knowing Stone Temple Pilots was Chester's favorite band and a huge musical influence on him. BelowEmpty simply refused to cover anything related to Chester during those years (and went as far as shutting down their site at one point) and we had to create new social media pages and a new subforum exclusively to cover Stone Temple Pilots news because of people constantly complaining about us posting tour updates. No one ever complained about us covering Fort Minor, Dead By Sunrise or Mike Shinoda, so it made absolutely no sense for this particular project to get this kind of treatment.
  23. They kinda did. They were removed from their official channel right before Amends was announced. lol
  24. There are several different digital editions with different tracklists: https://lplive.net/lpdigital/
