I am most excited about this. "Breaking the Habit" is one of LP's best songs. I love guitar in LP tracks so I am very intrigued to where this one will go. Maybe a little TLTGYA mixed with BTH. Sounds great!!!

This is gonna be amazing. I love Santana and his songs with Rob Thomas and Chad Kroger. Looking forward to “Whole Lotta Love”, “Sunshine Of Your Love”, “Can’t You Hear Me Knockin’”, “While My Guitar Gently Weeps”, “Bang A Gong”, “Smoke On the Water” , and “Riders On the Storm”!!!

The only thing I could see dethroning Alex of the #1 spot is Astat. I haven't seen much of him on the threads in the past couple of days. Hopefully he is working on a remix and it'll be epic as always. Note to Astat: Make sure to include plenty of elephant samples. "The weirder, the better"!!!! This is the way to talk to your fans and critics. Take note all other remixers (not naming any names). *cough*dangersilent*cough*

So I just listened to Alex's and I can't hear where his vocals are off. He has a better mix. Creativity? Who else decided to change up the vocals like that? Not you. And your not even gonna get picked in the final 5 anyways because your breaking the rules with your own vocals. No. Mike said to make it sound like whatever you want. They don't want to hear themselves, they want to hear what the fans can create, not a shoddy attempt to sound like them. Over half of LP's songs consist of Hip Hop and Techno, so check yourself on that one. Also, they are not gonna release the remix on the radio, so they are not looking for a mainstream song. Then why are you whining and complaining? You are the mockery, my good sir. And just this quote right here makes me what to kill myself. Please, do us all a favor and leave these boards and don't come back until you have learned some manners, humility, and how to not sound like a whiny emo boy while singing.

It's an okay cover. I honestly don't care about the single cover, though. As long as the album cover looks bad ass, then I won't have a problem.

I agree that haters are gonna hate and 'mike suck now' is uncalled for, but are you saying that LP fans that took enough time to register on a fan site, can only have a positive opinion on the band? Linkin Park isn't perfect. They are human just like you and me. When their new album comes out and sounds like Kesha, you'll be eating your own words...trust me.

I love the lyrics and after several listens, I'm starting to like the vocal effects on Mike. I think with the full background instruments, it will sound better. August 2nd can't come fast enough.

I would love to hear Mike sing more. He did an amazing job on NRL and I think that NRL is one of LP's best songs. This snippet, though, is way over-produced. He sounds like a robot. If he has a chorus of people singing behind him in the full version or just him with no layers, it'll sound a thousand times better. Other than that, Mike's snippet sounds horrible. Chester is top-notch, though.

Let's not forget that we already have possible lyrics to 'The Catalyst' from Puzzle #3 I believe? I believe those should be helpful to whoever will be doing a vocal remix.

It sounds more along the lines of the High Voltage, Figure.09, Points of Authority naming style. And I have always liked those names so this is looking good!!!

I would have to agree with Mike on this one. He might be screwing with us, but we don't know if it is an album name yet. They might be doing one puzzle per track on the album.

[off topic] That track is about one of the only LP tracks I understood on the first listen. It is about the constant approval/disapproval of writing a song. "Here we go for the 100th time/ Hand grenade pins in every line" - The 100th rewrite of the song/ garbage(or something you would just throw away....aka grenade pins) are in every line. "Bleed It Out/ Digging deeper just to throw it away" - Getting as much as you can from the song, just to throw it away. I'm sorry, but this song has so much meaning, it's bleeding it. Pun intended. [/off topic] I tried the photo myself in photoshop and it looks the best in a dark blue. This is making me extremely excited. Awesome song names / album name / lyrics. And we will know everything in just about a month!
