  1. Just to let you know, in the rules of the contest, it states that you have to be under 1,000 characters and your sitting at 5,519 right now. Just letting you know. Good Luck!!!!
  2. This. Mine would be Atlanta '07 at Projekt Revolution because it is also my first Linkin Park show but also because it has been the best show I have ever seen them put on ever. My 2nd would be Nashville '08, but that's just because I was there on the barricade in front of Phoenix.
  3. From mikeshinoda.com: I need a guest blogger. So this month, our LPUnderground fan club is hosting a contest to fill the position. Here's the deal: you have to be a member of the LPU, and you have to have seen our band play live. You post a blog entry on your site or ours, and let us know about it. Five winners get a prize pack, but the top entry gets re-posted here as a guest post on mikeshinoda.com for all to see. Sound awesome? That's because it is. Members, go here for the details; non-members, go here to sign up: http://lpunderground.com/ Anyone entering?
  4. Happy Birthday!!!!

  5. It's over. Twitter user red_special won the poster. congrats to @red_special who was chosen for yesterdays @lpunderground giveaway! thanks to everyone who sent in a tweet! Source: @ChesterBe
  6. This is an awesome soundtrack. It has some really good beats and raw tracks to mix. There are even a couple in there that I can recognize samples they used from their own songs from DTA!
  7. Uploaded mine. Hope I win!!!!
  8. WOW! Great find! This a really cool version of one of my favorite LP songs!!!!
  9. Killing Fields. Hands down. 11-0 right now.....Wow.
  10. Yea, now that I think about it, isn't Chester working with Travis on some of his solo stuff? He might be going to check some of it out. "The yet-untitled album promises to be a collection that leaps across genres and features a who's who of musical luminaries, including Slash, Linkin Park frontman Chester Bennington and the aforementioned A-Trak." Source: MTV News
  11. I just saw this on Tom DeLonge's Twitter: "Picking up some friends in Linkin Park at the airport... They flew in to say hi... On a helicopter..." Could this be a sign of things to come? Source: Tom's Twitter
  12. Killing Fields is a really amazing song!!! Thank you Subs for the video link!!!!
  13. Yea, I agree....sorry I rambled. I didn't attend the chat. I figured no new real information would be given until a CD release gets closer. Glad I didn't miss anything.
  14. I will be the first one to tell you, I was disappointed with Minutes to Midnight. I was expecting something different but the album went in a direction that I didn't like. Less rap, Less scratching, and less heavy metal. I took a big step away from LP at that time. I looked at the album from the eyes of a non-fan and realized that the elements that made me love the band in the first place were still there, just more mature and evolved. I was also disappointed with DBS. So yeah, I'm a fan and I love LP, but not everything they do is perfect and I don't expect perfection, neither should you. Linkin Park hasn't been Nu-Metal since the release of Minutes to Midnight. They even state in their interviews that they don't want to be under that label anymore. So go ahead and compare apples and oranges, we'll watch and laugh. I'm glad you agree with us. LP might not be the best musicians in the world, but at least they could come up with some decent lyrics and screams. LP cannot be compared to these bands. As much as you would like to believe, LP is mainstream. The reason they are mainstream? Millions of people love their music. Their music is popular. Popular = Pop. So yeah, I am saying that Linkin Park plays Pop/Rock music. Other Pop/Rock artists to compare to: Paramore, Papa Roach, Three Days Grace, and even The All American Rejects could easily be compared to LP than Dream Theater or Opeth.
  15. Looking at the set list you posted, HHH could be replaced with another song over the Crawling Intro. LFY, LOATR, and NMS will probably be dropped for new material. BIO is a fan favorite and a great sing along at concerts, it won't be dropped IMO. The new one could be this: Setlist: 01. Session 02. Given Up 03. New Song 04. From The Inside 05. Somewhere I Belong 06. Points Of Authority 07. New Song 08. What I've Done 09. New Song 10. Numb 11. Breaking The Habit 12. Shadow Of The Day 13. A Capella Rap Into 14. (Rap Intro) Crawling 15. New Song 16. In The End 17. Bleed It Out ------------------------------ 18. New Divide 19. Faint ------------------------------ 20. New Song (1st Single) 21. One Step Closer
  16. It will either be a Pro. Rev. show in Europe or some European Festivals. They usually use those as warm up shows for the US.
  17. I think they will remove LFY and NMS. Both not released as singles and not as popular. The setlist will probably grow to 24-27 songs depending on how much they are going to play off of the next album.
  18. In Nashville back in February 2008, the house speakers went out during the outro of Points of Authority and no one could hear Mike rapping. We could tell he was saying something but we couldn't hear him, just the music. After, he asked the crew if everything was okay and then continued the show. It was later fixed on the DSP though you can still hear him talk to the crew. Show Page: http://www.lplive.net/shows/20080226.php
  19. I am not surprised and support the decision fully. If I want to get a show bad enough I can find another way of downloading it (torrent, megaupload, etc...). It is a smart move by the LPLive Staff to cut these downloads off so there is no risk of being accused of doing something illegal later down the road.
  20. I would love to see DBS play the US. But it is very true that the album sold like shit and I highly doubt that a US tour will happen.....
  21. 01. Wake 2.0 (Kabuki Curtain Drop Intro) 02. Given Up (New Outro) 03. No More Sorrow (Long Intro) 04. Don't Stay 05. Points of Authority (Petrified Intro / Reading My Eyes Outro) 06. From The Inside (Long Intro w/ Scream) 07. Papercut (Shout out to LPU) 08. Somewhere I Belong (Leads into) 09. Lying From You 10. Shadow of the Day 11. In Pieces 12. Not Alone 13. Breaking the Habit (Piano intro) 14. Hands Held High (1st Verse and Chorus into) 15. Crawling (Reanimation Intro w/ HHH 2nd verse) 16: Numb 17. What I've Done 18. In The End (Silent Bridge w/ Crowd Singing) 19. Faint (Extended Outro) -Encore- 20. A Place For My Head (Live In Texas Bridge) 21. P5hng Me A*wy 22. Bleed It Out (Drum Solo Intro / Extended Outro) -Encore- 23. New Divide (Long Hum Intro) 24. QWERTY 25. One Step Closer (Reanimation Bridge w/ Long Outro)
  22. I would be, but I'm more amazed that LP is even in the running this year. The only release for 2009 was 'New Divide' and IMO it was not gear toward children. I think Green Day probably would have been a better choice for competition between Coldplay and BEPs. GD isn't a "children's band" by any means, but they had an extremely successful year last year. I know Jonas Bros. are probably a hands down winner and 2nd place will go to 'Boom Boom Pow' BEPs, but 3rd would have been a fight between Coldplay and GD. With LP, 3rd goes to Coldplay and LP comes in 4th.
