Some of these probably don't exist in studio quality and were just played live.Acapellas as nice but really boring to listen to frequently. I should come with both instrumental and acapella. I wouldn't mind more fun songs like cookies but the LPU8 CD came out at the worst possible time. LPU3, LPU5 and LPU7 were way worse than this. A "normal" LPU CD with a few joke songs is something I would really like. But I guess people overreacted on mmmh cookies so much that we won't get more fun songs. Everyone hates joke songs but I'm sure nobody would mind The Wizard Song.

WTF. I don't think that's true, the thing aired after midnight. Censor that, but keep all the cursing? I don't believe that unless there's proof.

The intro doesn't belong to faint, the audio part until 0:08 is from Something I Can Never Have that was played before the Gacela Intro. The outro is the same one they also used for PR 04 but in the MTV version is extremely shortened, easy to noticed from the skips near the end.

Btw here is the version of the cover with the istockphoto tag still inside That seems like a big concidence, maybe the cover was added to a database and they got it from there? -
Sadly I don't have the webcast hear right now to compare. I think that the TV station cut down the intro/outro and encore. From what I remember LP was the only band with this grounding problem during the webcasts that day. So I think it was setup related, maybe an instrument or something that they couldn't completely mute from the mix. Whatever. But it has been re-mixed in some way, that's for sure, the webcast sounds more rough (from what I remember). The laughter is the only thing in can recalled that was really removed from the show. What an odd edit.

I dont think much was done with the vocals. I know what you mean but I think it's just what his voice sounds like at this show, he sounds a little flat plus the different acoustics. I wonder what caused the massive humming that was in the webcast and you can still hear a bit it in the TV version

Basically all the STP info we have for Dead & Bloated and the setlists are from here http://www.belowempty.com/concerts.php?p=2001 Of course nothing is ever 100% accurate, some set turned out to be incorrect but I think something like Chester on Dead & Bloated seems quite accurate to me, I don't think that's something you get wrong easily.

So here's my hypothesis that Rock am Ring 2004 was mixed by Mike Shinoda: - Back in the days Shinoda mixed important TV stuff, he mentions it in a tour diary that he mixed Detroit 2003 for TV. He did also Webster Hall 2007 according to the credits. - The TV mix is the same as the mix for Breaking The Habit on the LPU 4.0 CD. Which has no credit who mixed it. - Before the full show was aired in September 2004, the band requested the tape to be sent to Asia, where they continued their tour after Rock am Ring, to do further editing to the show before broadcasting it. I'm not 100% sure if that part with asia is correct but it was sent to the band to edit it. - Now the real reason that I think that it was Shinoda is this: As mentioned above Shinoda is known to mix stuff and the other one is something I noticed many many years ago. During In The End 0:51:14 in was a really loud and "dirty" laugh by Shinoda. That was obviously edited out, you can barely hear it anymore but it was very lound in the webcast version. That info can be also found on the show page but that comparission file I made got lost over time, so it's not available right now. I'll try to find it to get it back online. So why on earth would anyone besides him remove that laughter?

Actually I wanted to ask the same. There are a couple STP shows with Chester on Dead & Bloated we don't have yet, for example: -Washington, DC 18.10.2001 -East Rutherford, NJ 24.10.2001 -Buffalo, NY 28.10.2001 (Video? if that exists) -Dallas, TX 06.11.2001

That is a HUGE difference. They paid for this stockphoto to use it legally. The COG artwork was simply stolen. Why is everyone so shocked about the use of a stockphoto? Everyone sees several stock photos every day. Even LP has most of their artwork done nowadays by ghost town media and LP just sits there and says we like it or we dont. Just like Joe just picks a treatment to use of a music video. -

Ryan and Amir said they would have been down for an Orgy reunion if Jay asked them. While Jay said that he asked them and they said no, LOL. They said that Jay also took the ownership of the band name. Due to the lazyness of Jay/his management and also the venues they often used old photos to promote the recent Orgy shows. Ryan and Amir were mad about it cause a ton of fans thought there was a real reunion happening, a lot of people asked them personally. Not sure if that's still happening but Amir said one time that Jay plans to rerecord Blue Monday, LOL. So there's two sides to this story but honestly I believe what Ryan/Amir say. They are really nice guys, while on the other hand Jay seems to be douche but that's also based on stories I heard from Amir.

[DL] 03.06.2012 Nürnberg - Rock im Park (15 Songs)
[AndOne] replied to hahninator's topic in Newswire
Me too! I think Gossip was pretty cool, it was quite entertaining. Kasabian was seriously the shittiest band of the entire day, the crowd got really pissed since they said "rock am ring" instead of "rock im park" easily like 10 times or more. Too much of a rockstar to get the festival name right?I was pretty disappointed by Soundgarden, they just came, played their set and left. That's what it felt like to me. I think Chris Cornell never moved away from his micstand. I was in the 2nd row on the left at the end of the stage. You barely see that spot during the show. A few times during Waiting For The End but you cant really see me lol. My personal highlight from that day at the festival. Before Soundgarden someone from the stage crew came out to remove the water from the side of the stage. This must have been filmed veeery close to me. He was called "Der Wischer" which translates to "The Wiper". The crowd kept yelling for him again before LP, as he was setting up some stuff on stage. He tried to hide but he showed up a again for a short moment and the crowd applauded him haha. -
I want my Mmmmh cookies 2.0 with Smelly Feet and Ugly Head!
-
Yeah but this is also not normal. This is a show they simply squeezed in the last minute because they were able to do it, maybe also mixed with a chaotic festival promoter.
-
LP announced Summer Sonic 3 months ago. So it would be very very unusual for them to announce a show BEFORE Summer Sonic in the near future. Of course that was so early because it's a festival, so they announced the other shows just now. I'd say something about (at least) 4 months before a show is a normal time frame to announce a big headlining show. There are exceptions to this "rule" of course.
-
This seems pretty lustless compared to the summer sonic performances.

Does it have the same german sticker?
-
I think he never played this part, sounds like a sample to me.
-
Good question. I think it was released at least in Austria, Germany and Switzerland.
-
is it even warm enough in December for it to move to an Amphitheatre?

It's still donations for a good cause, not "making money". Don't forget they still pay for the flight and hotel, even international. They sure don't want to make a loss from it lol. You can also enter by not donating, I tried that and it seemed such a pain in the ass that I'd rather just donate lol. There have been several sweeptakes in the past that used this system.
